RESUMO

The influence of protein blocker cycloheximide on ethanol intake in rats under condition of development of alcohol motivation was studied. It was found that intracerebroventricular injection of cycloheximide caused inhibition of alcohol intake in rats which had free choice between water and 20% ethanol solution. The blockade action of cycloheximide on the development of alcohol motivation was dependent on initial preference of ethanol in rats and was more strong in rats with originally low preference for ethanol.

RESUMO

It was shown that intracerebroventricular (icv) administration of 2 micrograms neuropeptide Y (NPY) increased the rectal temperature in rats 2.5 hours postinjection. During 5 days we analysed dynamics of the effect of NPY on alcohol-induced hypothermia in this particular interval. 2 micrograms of NPY were given daily 30 min prior to 25% solution of ethanol (3 g/kg weight rat) intraperitoneal injection. It was found that NPY can prevent the attenuation of alcohol hypothermia on the 3-d and 4-th injection day. It was supposed that the inhibitory effect of NPY on the development of alcohol tolerance may be due to the capacity of NPY to increase food behavior. So it's known that activation of other competitor motivation may inhibit the development of alcoholism.

RESUMO

The influence of protein blocker cycloheximide on the ethanol intake in alcohol-dependent rats was studied. It was found that intracerebroventricular as well as perifornical area hypothalamus injection of cycloheximide caused inhibition of ethanol consumption in alcohol-dependent rats, persisting for 5-9 weeks. The blockade action of cycloheximide was more strong after its injection in phase of decreased ethanol intake. At the same time it was shown an increase in water and food intake. The blockade action of cycloheximide on ethanol intake was not found in alcohol-dependent rats. These data indicate that some protein substances take part in mechanisms of organization of alcohol motivation and dependence.

RESUMO

Neuronal impulse activity of various brain structures was studied in rabbits in conditions of artificial thirst elicited by intrabrain injection of 0.3-0.5 M NaCl solution (from 5 to 8 mcl). Specific organization was revealed of the impulse flow at drinking motivational excitation, i.e., domination on interval histograms of certain intervals (20-40 and 100-200 ms). Comparative analysis of activity patterns of both different and the same neurones in conditions of natural and artificial thirst showed a resemblance of dominating intervals values that testifies to specificity of the observed neural activity characteristics, reflecting drinking motivational excitation. Thus, an interval code is found corresponding to drinking motivational state. P. K. Anokhin's notions about anticipating reflection of reality find their expression in anticipating reactions of brain neuronal activity.

RESUMO

The paper presents studies of the influence of octapeptide cholecystokinin (ChCK-8) on the level of dofamine, noradrenaline and serotonine in the hypothalamus, septum, amygdala, striatum and mesencephalon of the rats brain during 24-, 48- and 96-hour alimentary and water deprivation. A change of catecholamines content under the influence of ChCK-8 was observed for the most part in conditions of thirst and only in the hypothalamus. ChCK-8 action in conditions of water deprivation was selective and directed mainly to the restoration of the changes in transmitter's level. ChCK-8 did not have a significant influence on the level of the brain monoamines during hunger. It may be assumed, that "satiation" hormone ChCK-8 is to a great extent connected with the mechanisms of reinforcement, and its "satiating" effect would appear at catecholamines' level in the process of satisfying of corresponding need.
