The influence of microwaves, generated by navigation radars, on the animals' behavior, their antioxidant and reproductive systems were studied. It was found that the exposure to power of 1000 (microW/cm2)h exceeded the threshold of harmful action of electromagnetic radiation.

The authors evaluated electromagnetic situation near radiotechnical emitters on 8 objects of regional navigation safety system located in St. Petersburg Seaport Administration. The results proved that exploitation of the radiotechnical means does not result in electromagnetic irradiation that exceeds maximal allowable levels.

Workplaces in various technologic compartments of shielded building are characterized by lower geomagnetic field (50 Hz), compromised air ions composition not corresponding to hygienic regulations, absent natural illumination and compensation of ultraviolet deficiency. When compared to reference group, the staffers demonstrate higher parameters of annual occupational risk growth.
