[The central hemodynamic indices of patients with ulcerative gastroduodenal hemorrhage]. / Pokazateli tsentral'noi gemodinamiki u bol'nykh s iazvennym gastroduodenal'nym krovotecheniem.

Changes in certain indices for central hemodynamics in the early period after emergency operation were evaluated in 79 patients with helcoid gastroduodenal hemorrhage, the patients' age ranging between 18 to 80 years. At admission all patients demonstrated lowered cardiac and stroke output, cardiac and stroke indices, with the total peripheral vascular resistance being slightly increased. Operation aggravates disturbances in hemodynamics caused by loss of blood. Under the effect of corrective therapy, from day 3 to 5, indices for central hemodynamics tend to slowly return to normal as do those for hepatic bloodflow. The impairment of the function of the circulatory system appear to be greater in cases presenting with deficiency of globular volume of excess of 50%, whose compensatory potential is under too severe a strain. At discharge from the hospital, the percentage of those cases presenting with hypodynamic type circulation amounted to 67.3%, normodynamic having been 32.7%.

[Intensive therapy of patients surgically treated in acute gastrointestinal hemorrhage of peptic ulcer etiology]. / Intensivnaia terapiia bol'nykh, operirovannykh po povodu ostrogo zheludochno-kishechnogo krovotecheniia iazvennoi étiologii.

The emergency operations were performed in 6,506 patients for acute hemorrhage in gastric and duodenal ulcer. A method for the complex corrigative intensive therapy is presented. The use of combined parenteral and enteral nutrition facilitates a care of the patients, favours the prophylaxis of complications. Because of incomplete rehabilitation by the moment of patient's discharge from the hospital, it is necessary to continue the corrigative therapy directed at liquidation of the globular volume deficiency, correction of disproteinemia, normalization of the indices of central hemodynamics and metabolic processes in the organs and tissues.

[Current concepts concerning the syndrome of early ventricular repolarization]. / Sovremennye predstavlenie o sindrome rannei repoliarizatsii zheludochkov.

Electrocardiograms of 1000 patients examined in a polyclinic for various diseases and during prophylactic checkups, were analyzed. The syndrome of early ventricular repolarization (SEVR) was detected in 54 (5.4%) patients. According to the proposed classification scheme of SEVR one could determine its clinical value and the distribution of frequency of its variants and types. The authors put forward present-day ideas as to SEVR assumed genesis with an attempt to verify some of them. Differential-diagnostic pharmacological tests (procainamide, quinidine and propranolol) were recommended for SEVR recognition.
