RESUMO

With the rapid development of society, especially the advent of intelligent technology of life services, the ability of the elderly to adapt to modern digital life is getting weaker and weaker, the dilemma of the "digital divide" for the elderly has aroused heated public debate. In the era of aging and information superposition, in-depth study of the multi-dimensional impact of the digital divide on the elderly has become an effective content of China's active aging strategy. Based on the micro-data of the Chinese General Social Survey in 2017, this paper uses the entropy right method to construct the digital divide index system for the elderly over 60 years of age from the perspective of essential equipment, Internet utilization degree, and Basic Internet usage skills. At the same time, this paper constructs China's comprehensive index of active aging from three aspects: health, social participation, and guarantee of the elderly, to study the impact of the digital divide on China's active aging. The following conclusions have been drawn: the digital divide among the elderly significantly inhibits China's active aging. The digital divide reduces the level of physical and mental health and social participation of older persons and inhibits the level of guarantee of older persons, thus impeding their active aging. In addition, it also reduces the overall life satisfaction of the elderly. The use of the Internet, skills, and other digital technology abilities of the elderly have effectively promoted active aging. The more Internet access devices older people have, the higher their level of social participation. The higher the Internet frequency of the elderly, the healthier the body and mind. Furthermore, the greater the level of physical and mental health and social participation of older groups who use online payments. The digital divide among the elderly inhibits the process of China's active aging, and the unique course and stage characteristics of the development of the aging of the Chinese population require us to pay full attention to the relationship between the digital divide and active aging and how to construct a "digital-friendly" aging system is an essential issue for China's social development to consider.

My E-Diary for Activities and Lifestyle (MEDAL), a web-based application, was developed to assess the diets of children. This study examined the validity of school recess meals reported by children on MEDAL, using meal photography as the reference. Recess meals were photographed by trained researchers, and food items and portion sizes of recess meals reported on MEDAL were compared to recess meal photos. Validity was assessed by percentages of match, omission and intrusion for food items and percentages of the match, underestimation and overestimation for portion sizes. The Mann-Whitney test and the Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed-rank test examined if sex, school and day of recording influenced the validity of food item reporting. We found that participants (n = 33, aged 10-11 years) recalled 60.2% of food items consumed at recess accurately (matches); omissions (24.6%) were more common than intrusions (15.2%). Omissions tended to be side dishes, and intrusions tended to be high-calorie items. Sex, school and day of recording did not influence validity. For food portion sizes, 58.3% of items were accurately reported. Overestimations (33.3%) were more common than underestimations (8.3%). In conclusion, these children were able to report food items consumed during school recess meals using MEDAL, albeit with limitations on the degree of accuracy.

RESUMO

A new strategy to prepare soluble homogeneous catalysts is developed by introducing imidazolium into cationic calix[4]arene-based metal-organic cages (MOCs). The soluble MOCs show high activity and recyclability in the cycloaddition reaction of CO2 without the addition of any co-catalysts. This method provides new inspiration to design highly efficient catalysts by combining the advantages of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis.

Two bismuth(III) halides hybrids with room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP), namely, [BPy]2[Bi2Cl8(bpym)] (1, BPy = N-butylpyridinium) and [EPy]2[Bi2Cl8(bpym)] (2, EPy = N-ethylpyridinium), were synthesized and characterized. Structural comparison reveals that 1 and 2 possess similar anionic zigzaglike chain of [Bi2Cl8(bpym)]n2n-; however, different packing modes of anion/cations and thus different weak interactions. Interestingly, the utilization of pyridinium cations with different length of alkyl chain could tune the RTP behaviors efficiently. The RTP quantum yield (QY) is increased more than 5-fold from 1 to 2 probably due to more rigid structure of 2 arising from the additional H-bond and anion-π interactions, as confirmed by Hirshfeld surfaces analyses and PLATON calculations. Moreover, additional π-π interactions in 1 could stabilize the triplet excitons, leading to an average lifetime of 1 (11.36 ms at 77 K and 1.407 ms at 298 K) being higher than 2 (0.3618 ms at 77 K and 0.07511 ms at 298 K). Density functional theory (DFT) calculations confirm that inorganic moiety to organic ligand charge-transfer (IOCT) is involved in the phosphorescence process. The present work provides a new sight into the design of RTP metal halides through studying the structure-RTP relationship.
