RESUMO

Echodopplerography demonstrated a significant increase in the velocities of bloodflow and indices for the thyroid gland in diffuse toxic goiter. The presence of the increased velocity indexes and coefficients during remission permits predicting recurrent course of the affliction.

RESUMO

A roentgenological examination was carried out of the upper regions of the digestive canal in 52 patients with unspecific ulcerative colitis with a different extension of the pathological process in the colon. The obtained results were verified by means of fibrogastroduodenoscopy. Most of the examined patients revealed pathological changes in the stomach and duodenum that significantly deteriorate the course of the main disease. There was a direct dependence between the frequency of inflammatory lesions of the gastroduodenal zone and severity of the course of unspecific ulcerative colitis.

RESUMO

Research into the morphofunctional status of the kidneys was conducted in patients with nonspecific colitis-NC (nonspecific ulcerative colitis-NUC and Crohn's disease). Urodynamics and partial function of the kidneys were assessed in 74 NC patients (51 NUC patients and 23 patients with Crohn's disease) on the basis of the findings of two-nuclide dynamic renal scintigraphy with 131I-hippuran and 99mTc-pentatech. Despite the absence of clinical symptomatology of urinary tract lesions, marked dysfunction of the kidneys of various degree (depending on severity of disease, tactics of its treatment and a type of surgical intervention) was noted in NC patients. In most cases changes of renal function were without visible clinical manifestations and were frequently undetectable by routine laboratory tests. Therefore dynamic renal scintigraphy was found necessary for investigation on NC patients.

RESUMO

Excretory urography was performed in 55 patients with non-specific ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease with colonic involvement. The kidney pathology was revealed in 47.3% of the patients, in 5 (27.8%) of 18 patients examined before the operation, and in 21 (56.8%) of 37--after extensive colonic resection. Nephroptosis, urolithiasis, hydronephrosis, pyelocystitis were the main complications.

RESUMO

The paper is concerned with comparative assessment of the diagnostic potentialities of the x-ray, endoscopic and pathomorphological methods of investigation. The results of the examination of 100 patients operated upon for nonspecific ulcerative colitis (54) and Crohn's disease (46) were analyzed. The advantages of these methods were demonstrated. A conclusion was made of the necessity of the use of the above methods for specified diagnosis of nonspecific colitis.
