RESUMO

Suicide is a complex issue and a source of discussion between different disciplines. Suicide assessment and management research had received a huge attention in the field. Argentina has a legal framework focused on protecting human rights. Malpractice and liability discussion is offered in cases of suicide in psychiatric patients recently admitted to an inpatient setting. Imminent and certain risk of damage is the legal requirement for involuntary psychiatric admission in terms of Mental Health Law in Argentina.

Specifically a modification of one specifier (insight) and the addition of a new tic specifier. DSM-5 redefined obsessions and recognizes the importance of avoidance and thought stopping beyond compulsions as other strategies to deal with obsessions. OCD related disorders include: Trichotillomania, Hoarding Disorder, Skin Picking Disorder, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder.

RESUMO

This article makes an initially tour of the definitions of violence, aggression and impulsiveness. Violence is a manifestation associated with various aspects of human behavior in different contexts of society and history. It can also be a clinical manifestation of a psychiatric disorder, the behavioral modality of some people with personality disorders, the expression of a somatic disorder, an action exercised by an individual under the influence of substances, as well as the expected reaction of an individual or a group to a specific trigger situation. Aggressiveness means "tendency to act or respond violently", using violent means to things or people and overcome their revulsion to do damage. After that, a brief overview of the different classifications of aggressive behaviour is made, to finish reviewing the bibliography published on the pharmacological treatment of emotional or impulsive aggression with the three main groups of drugs frequently used in clinical practice (antidepressants, mood stabilizers and antipsychotics), and a brief integration scheme is formulated.

RESUMO

The main objective of this article is to encourage criticism of and reflection on the indication for psychiatric hospitalization through the mentioning of some recent National Supreme Court of Justice rulings that affect our practice, as well as through a critical review of the traditional concept of dangerousness, to provide support for the two possible types of psychiatric hospitalization: urgent hospitalization secondary to certain and imminent risk of injury and therapeutic hospitalization. It is further proposed that said indication be delivered by a team including the psychologist, and that this indication be monitored by the courts.

Obsessive-compulsive symptoms (OCS) have been observed in a substantial proportion of schizophrenic patients. In this paper, the rate of occurrence of OCS and OCD in schizophrenic patients, and also the interrelationship between OCS and schizophrenic symptoms, depressive symptoms, cognitive function and age are reviewed. The author proposes to use the term "group of schizo-obsessive disorders" and proposes an integrate classification system.
