[The effect of plastic corrective measures in penile hypospadias on sex behavior in the fertile age]. / Der Einfluss plastischer Korrekturmassnahmen bei Hypospadia penis auf das Sexualverhalten im fertilen Lebensalter.

There are numerous reports on the morphological results after hypospadia operation whereas only few reports do exist on sexual behaviour after this operative treatment. In our experience every fifth patient (18.5%) had psychogenic disturbances of sexual life. The marriage rate was 20% lower than in an age-related group of the normal population and 24% of the patients have had not any sexual contact as yet. Morphological causes of these disturbances were severe penile deviations (3 out of 16 patients); slight deviation occurred in 13 patients. Therefore, an intraoperative artificial erection has been recommended. In two thirds of the patients with psychogenic inhibitions a morphological cause could be verified. In conclusion, patients with hypospadia operation should controlled up to the sexually active life, if necessary under participation of a psychologist.

[Wilms' tumor in adults after curative treatment of Hodgkin's disease]. / Wilms-Tumor beim Erwachsenen nach kurativ behandeltem Morbus Hodgkin.

A fist-size Wilms tumour was recorded from a patient, 29 years of age, seven years after therapeutic irradiation for histologically secured Hodgkin's disease (nodular sclerosis, stage II with involvement of cervical and mediastinal lymph nodes). Nephrectomy was performed on the patient who died of bronchopneumonia on the 30th postoperative day. Autopsy did not reveal any residues of the lymphogranulomatosis or metastases of the nephroblastoma.

[Experiences and results of retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy in teratoid testicular tumors]. / Ergebnisse und Erfahrungen mit der retroperitonealen Lymphadenektomie bei teratoiden Hodentumoren.

Examinations of 69 patients with teratoid tumours of the testicles who underwent the expanded operative and cytostatic treatment usual at present emphasize that the prognosis apart from the histological structure decisively depends on the stage of tumour at the beginning of the treatment. Nothing has changed in this respect. Under the treatment mentioned of the carriers of metastasized tumours 28% survival who had no chance before this. Compared with that the survival rate of patients free from metastases is 81%. A differentiation between regional metastases, progressed subdiaphragmatic metastases and metastases distant from the primary tumour may contribute to the prognostic judgment.
