RESUMO

We studied the rate of oxygen consumption by mitochondria isolated from peripheral blood leukocytes of patients with acute myocardial infarction and healthy volunteers. It was found that leukocyte mitochondria in patients with acute myocardial infarction were characterized by significantly lower rate of oxygen consumption and lower level of coupling of oxidation and phosphorylation processes in comparison with mitochondria from healthy volunteers.

RESUMO

The study examined the relationships between SERCA2a expression in the myocardium and structural and functional indices in patients with atrial fibrillation. In uniform cohort of patients, this expression differed significantly but positively correlated with the size of the left atrium, end-systolic volume, and end-diastolic volume. In contrast, SERCA2a expression negatively correlated with early (peak E) and late (peak A) diastolic filling rates in left ventricle. SERCA2a expression was also associated with echocardiographic parameters reflecting structural and functional status of the heart in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation.

RESUMO

We studied the peculiarities of oxidative and substrate phosphorylation in isolated cardiomyocytes and myocardial mitochondria in 2- and 15-month-old rats. It was shown that age factor reduces the degree of oxidation and phosphorylation coupling both in cardiomyocytes and in mitochondria, which was associated with the decrease in the rate of consumption of energy resources.

RESUMO

We studied the effects of radiofrequency ablation on the results of intramyocardial transplantation of bone marrow NSC into the myocardium of rats with postinfarction cardiosclerosis. It was shown that exposure of the pathologically changed myocardium to radiofrequency radiation led to destruction of formed connective tissue. Transplantation of MSC into sites exposed to radiofrequency radiation promoted the development of regenerative processes (abundant infiltration with mononuclear cells, presence of granulation tissue, and numerous newly formed blood vessels). We concluded that preliminary radiofrequency irradiation of the myocardial areas promotes realization of the regenerative potential of cell transplantation.

RESUMO

Studied inotropic reaction papillary muscles of rats with postinfarction and diabetic remodeling on extrasistolic influences. It was found, that excitability of myocardium rats raises at a diabetes induced streptozotocin. Postextrasistolic contraction of myocardium rats with postinfarction cardiosclerosis it was considerably oppressed, and rhythmoinitropic reaction of myocardium rats was comparable to reaction of intact myocardium at a diabetes induced streptozotocin. The combination postinfarction and diabetic influence is paradoxical promoted preservation postextrasistolic potentiation of myocardium rats.

RESUMO

We studied stability of complexes of silver nanoparticles and silicon nitride before and after their interaction with liquid media and after passing through bacterial filters. According to scanning electron microscopy data, contact with fluids and passage through bacterial filters reduced the content of silver nanoparticles in complexes compared to that in initial complexes. It was shown that these differences depended on both initial characteristics of the examined samples and the used liquid media. The complex Ag/Si3N4 obtained after 5 silver reduction cycles and containing 15% α- and 85% ß-modifications of silicon nitride (sample No. 2) was characterized by maximum stability. Culture medium produced more aggressive effect on stability of the studied complexes. We concluded that the effect of culture media on stability of silver nanoparticles-silicon nitride complexes depends on phase composition of the substrate and method of application of silver nanoparticles.

RESUMO

We studied rhythmoinotropic reactions of the myocardium in rats with postinfarction cardiosclerosis and in rats with postinfarction cardiosclerosis against the background of streptozotocin-induced diabetes. Inotropic myocardial response in rats with postinfarction cardiosclerosis was significantly inhibited after rest periods, while in streptozotocin diabetic rats the rhythmoinotropic myocardial reaction was comparable with the reaction of intact myocardium. The combination of postinfarction cardiosclerosis and diabetes paradoxically contributed to preservation of contractile function of the myocardium in rats.
