In 1912 International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent established a medal in honor of Florence Nightingale, still the most honorable award for nurses. In our country, there are no separate awards for nurses, they are awarded in the system of national awards, but medical authorities, major military medical institutions and public organizations have developed their own system of awarding the best nurses. Reader offered some graphic images of existing award marks contained documents revealing the mechanism of premium policy for the most distinguished in nursing health professionals.

[75 years safeguarding health of warriors of Saints-Petersburg (Leningrad) garrison].

The article is devoted to the anniversary of Consultation-and-diagnostic outpatient hospital of 442nd District military clinical hospital in Saint-Petersburg. This outpatient hospital was founded in on the 20th March 1938. Work of garrison outpatient hospital was especially difficult during the Great Patriotic War. Employees of this hospital heroically fulfilled their duties in conditions of severe blocade winter 1941-1942. The outpatient hospital was nominally garrison, in fact this hospital operated units of Leningrad front-line. In 1993 the garrison outpatient hospital was renamed as 104th Consultation-and-diagnostic. The main branch of activity is health maintenance of participants in the rectification of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl Atomic Electric Power Station and veterans (case follow up) belonging to special risk subunits. Nowadays there are 30 treatment-and-diagnostic departments including staff military physician board.

[Experience with video-computer method of assessing the mental state with the help of "Vidicor" in a psychological survey of entrants in Suvorov Military School].

The authors analyzed the use of two different survey methods (PPO and "Vidicor") of entrants of the St. Petersburg Suvorov Military School. It is shown that the methods of the final results do not contradict each other. The discrepancy between the results is 4,4%, but the method of "Vidicor" has several advantages: lower labor costs and psycho trauma of surveyed, most dynamic and effective, the possibility of creating an electronic database. This allows us to recommend it for use.

[Experience with passenger motor ship re-equipment used for evacuation of the wounded and sick]. / Opyt pereoborudovaniia passazhirskogo teplokhoda dlia évakuatsii ranenykh i bol'nykh.

In September 2002 the mobilization headquarters training was conducted on the base of Volga-Baltic steamship. During this training the passenger motor-vessel (the project 301) was re-equipped into sanitary-and-transport ship. The sanitary treatment coast post and the elements of evacuation receiving-room were developed by the personnel on the shore near the mooring wall. On the 3rd day the ship's sanitary treatment post, medical department (60 beds) with the wards for psychic patients (4 critical patients/ward), post for nurse on duty, room of physician on duty, dressing room, drugstore, autoclave room, clinical laboratory and collective defense post were created in the re-equipped rooms of the ship. The training has confirmed the advantages of casualty and patient transportation using the inner water-ways over the other types of transport. The following defects should be noted: the season work of river transport; frequent discrepancy of river trend with evacuation ways; comparatively low rate of transportation; different types of river ships used for medical evacuation.
