RESUMO

The effects of opiate receptor agonists and antagonists on the function of glucocorticoid receptors in the hepatic cytosol were examined in male Wistar rats weighing 180-240 g. With the Scatchard analysis, in vitro experiments by using labelled ligands revealed that the pure opiate agonist morphine in the wide range of concentrations (0,01-10,0 mM) failed to affect the function Type II glucocorticoid receptors, though inhibited the function of Type III glucocorticoid receptors in the dose-dependent manner. Buprenorphine and diprenorphine depressed the function of Types II and III glucocorticoid receptors. Buterphanol, an opiate receptor antagonist-agonist, like naltrexone, an opiate receptor antagonist, decreased the function of Type III glucocorticoid receptors, but modulated that of Type II glucocorticoid receptors by lowering the association constant of the ligand-Type II glucocorticoid receptor complex, but by enhancing the density of Type II glucocorticoid receptors. In vivo studies established that butorphanol dose-dependently increased the density of Type II glucocorticoid receptors in the hepatic cytosol and elevating blood pressure in rat traumatic shock. Whether glucocorticoid receptors involve in the mechanism of the antishock effect of morphine derivatives is discussed in the paper.

RESUMO

The results of clinical trials of Makmiror-Complex for treatment of infectious vulvovaginitis of mixed etiology are discussed. The study group included 15 patients, aged 18-50, who contracted infectious vulvovaginitis of mixed etiology in the course or shortly after radiation and/or chemotherapy for tumors. The drug proved highly effective.

RESUMO

The antishock efficacy of a new antihypoxant ethomerzol was studied in cats with experimental hemorrhagic shock. Ethomerzol raised the therapeutic efficacy of infusion therapy with isotonic sodium chloride solution. It was found that the agent improves systemic hemodynamics and peripheral circulation. On grounds of analysis of the experimental data it is concluded that the inclusion of ethomerzol in the schedule of infusion therapy in hemorrhagic shock is expedient.

RESUMO

The possibility of protecting the liver from lipid peroxidation (LPO) by phosphatidylcholine liposomes was studied in a model of hemorrhagic shock. Augmentation of LPO in hemorrhagic shock correlated with a decrease in phosphatidylcholine levels in the plasma membranes of hepatocytes and an increase in phosphatidylinositol content. With the use of liposomes the activation of LPO in the liver was removed and the level of phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylinositol in the hepatocyte plasma membrane was restored.

RESUMO

The mechanisms of functional disorders in adipocytes were studied on models of hemorrhagic shock. Injection of heparin as an anticoagulant caused regional differences in animals in phosphatidylethanolamine metabolism in the plasma membranes of adipocytes of the subcutaneous fat and those of the abdominal fat (omentum). The disorders of phospholipid metabolism in the plasma membranes of adipocytes of the subcutaneous and abdominal fat in hemorrhagic shock were unidirectional and associated with intensified breakdown of phosphatidylinositol.

RESUMO

Changes in peroxidation of hepatic tissue lipids were studied in experiments on rabbits with Cannon's traumatic shock according to products reacting with thiobarbituric acid. The lipid composition of hepatocyte plasma membranes was studied by thin-layer chromatography. The levels of lipid peroxidation products and the ratio of phospholipid fractions changed depending on the stage of the process. Administration of superoxide dismutase in the initial periods of shock reduced the raised level of products reacting with thiobarbituric acid and maintained the ratio of phospholipid fractions in the hepatocyte plasma membrane at the initial level.

RESUMO

The effect of anisodamine on lipoprotein metabolism in the liver and hepatocyte membrane phospholipids was studied on a model of hemorrhagic shock. Preliminary injection of anisodamine raised the content of very low-density lipoproteins in blood of the central vessels and intensified the breakdown of low-density lipoproteins in the liver. The main changes in the phospholipid composition of the hepatocyte plasma membranes in hemorrhagic shock are associated with phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylinositol. Decrease of the phosphatidylcholine content and increase of the phosphatidylinositol level were encountered. Anisodamine reduces the level of phosphatidylinositol in the hepatocyte plasma membranes and brings it close to normal.

RESUMO

Changes of the lipoprotein (LP) level in blood in the abdominal aorta and the portal and hepatic veins were studied in experiments on rabbits with Cannon's traumatic shock. The LP level was determined by spectrophotometry. The blood LP level changed depending on the stage of the shock. Administration of superoxide dismutase (an enzyme whose biosubstrates are only products of a free-radical process) in the initial period of shock has a normalizing effect on the level of the main LP classes.

RESUMO

Reactivity of rat mesenterial microvessels was studied during mesenterial shock. The development of the shock was discovered to involve two phases in the changes of microvascular reactivity. The sensitivity of microvessels to adrenaline was increased at the beginning of the shock whereupon it started descending. This phenomenon evidences that vasodilatation occurring at the late stages of the shock development is determined not only by a reduction in the concentration of endogenous adrenaline and noradrenaline but also by a decrease in the sensitivity of microvessels to these agents. The data obtained make it possible to explain the mechanism of steady vasodilatation in response to injection of exogenous adrenaline and noradrenaline, which is seen at the late stages of mesenterial shock.

RESUMO

Microcirculatory disturbances in pia mater are followed by change in oxygen tension in the brain cortex. Immediately after bleeding initial decrease of oxygen tension by 60-70% of the basal level was observed. This decrease was induced by initial vasoconstriction and brain cortex hypoxia. After compensation of blood circulation supervened and the cortical blood flow was set to a lower level (30-40 minutes after the decrease), there occurred a phase of oxygen level stabilization. The oxygen tension remained unchanged for a long time and decreased very slowly. More rapid fall of oxygen tension was noticed only at the end of the fourth hour when circulation decompensation set in.
