Intraoperative enteroscopy for diagnosis of a bleeding jejunal lymphangioma.

A patient with recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding from a jejunal lymphangioma is described. Multiple preoperative diagnostic studies, including sonde enteroscopy, failed to reveal a bleeding source. A bleeding lymphangioma was subsequently detected by intraoperative enteroscopy of the small bowel. Intraoperative enteroscopy was a useful diagnostic technique in this patient with otherwise unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding.

Repair of a multiply recurrent giant cell reparative granuloma of the hand with wide resection and fibular grafting.

A patient with multiply recurrent giant cell reparative granuloma of the third metacarpal is reported. Three prior excisions failed to prevent recurrence. A wide resection and replacement with a nonvascularized fibular bone graft resulted in elimination of the tumor at the 7-year follow-up visit.
