RESUMO
The results of experiments with the use of serous-muscle-submucosal gastric flap for plastic repair of duodenal wounds are analysed. The sutures were absolutely hermetic and the healing was achieved in 5 or 6 days. The flap remained vital and did not undergo sclerosis. Vascular anastomoses are detected in the operative zone 3 months after the surgery. The serous-muscle-submucosal vascular flap, mobilised from the greater curvature of the stomach, has good plastic properties, prevents duodenal sutures incompetence and improves blood supply of the operation zone.
