RESUMO
A phytopreparation from lucerne (Medicago sativa) was studied with respect to the acute and chronic toxicity and the action upon the cellular genetic mechanism. It was found that the preparation belongs to the group of practically nontoxic properties.

The present MAC for ethylenediamine (2 mg/cu m) does not match up-to-date requirements of industrial medicine and requires experimental analysis. Using contemporary methodic approaches, the authors studied toxicodynamics of ethylenediamine, revealed parameters of its toxicity and jeopardy. Biologic effects of ethylenediamine are irritation, allergic signs and changes in central nervous system. Chronic inhalation experiment helped to determine the MAC for ethylenediamine at 0.3 mg/cu m, 2nd jeopardy grade, that requires labels "Allergen" and "Skin protection required".

Lipid peroxidation processes and levels of oxidative metabolism enzymes succinate and lactate dehydrogenases, as well as morphometric parameters of cardiomyocytes were studied in rats after exposure to malathion. The efficacy of oxymethacil and atropin correction of postintoxication injuries to the myocardium was assessed. The new drug oxymethacil is recommended to be included in the treatment protocols during the first 48 h after grave poisoning with malathion.

Afferent contracts organisation was studied morphologically in limbic cortex of cat and rat. Method of retrograde axonal transport of horseradish peroxidase and quantitative analysis of initial neurons forming the contracts under analysis was used. Topical distributions of brain was represented. Significant prevalence of visual afferent contacts in posterior limbic cortex was established.

Standardized complex of low-molecular peptides from the heart, cordialin, stimulates functional activity of cardiomyocytes and mobilizes their protective mechanisms against the effect of the industrial and agricultural poison tetramethylthiuram disulfide (TMTD). The cardioprotective effect of cordialin is most marked in the restoration period when it was administered after TMTD damage to the cardiomyocytes.
