The organic single crystals of Cyclohexylammonium picrate (CHAP) had been grown using the method of slow evaporation solution growth. A determination was made regarding the solubility of the substance. The crystal's lattice cell parameters and morphology were characterized using single-crystal X-ray diffraction and powder X-ray diffraction techniques. The HRXRD techniques were utilized to assess the crystal quality. The functional groups of CHAP material were identified through the use of FT-IR and FT-Raman analysis. A Hirshfeld surface analysis was performed to investigate the formation of hydrogen bonds between N-Hâ¯O and C-Hâ¯O molecules. The grown crystals were examined in optical and thermal investigations utilizing UV-visible and TGA, DSC techniques. Mechanical analysis is used to quantify surface properties, such as work hardening coefficient and void volume. Z-scan analysis was utilized to calculate the non-linear refractive index (n2), nonlinear absorption (ß), and third-order non-linear susceptibility (χ3).
RESUMO
Listening to music during dental treatment is widely accepted as a relaxation method. However, its effects are unclear on the psychological and vital parameters. Patients who came to the Government Hospital of 18 - 60 years old, medically fit and indicated for dental extraction and exhibiting dental anxiety were included in the study. Music was not played in the control group (n=100) whereas in the experimental group (n=100), music was played according to patients' preference under the genre western, classical, or popular. Blood pressure, Body temperature, Pulse rate, Oxygen saturation and Respiratory rate were recorded. Results showed no statistical difference between the control and experimental group except the respiratory rate which increased statistically in both control and experimental group. Thus, the current study reveals that the effect of music over an invasive procedure like extraction that has been perceived as painful treatment for a long time has little effect on adult patients.
RESUMO
The association between family factors and dental caries/dental plaque development in children is of interest. The parents of pediatric age group seeking treatment from the Government Chengalpattu Medical college hospital, who accompanied with two or more siblings, were included. A questionnaire was given to gather data on the parents' socioeconomic status and family size. The children underwent clinical examination to evaluate the state of their oral health. Results showed a significant relationship between dental plaque and caries experience of child with gender, parents' education, occupation and socioeconomic status. So we conclude that the family related factors such as parent's education, occupation, income and SES exerted a definite impact in the oral health of children than the family size and sibling factors.

BMI1 is the first functional mammalian Polycomb group (PcG) proto-oncogene involved in multiple biological processes. Regulation of B cell-specific Moloney murine leukaemia virus integration site 1 (BMI1) expression with increase in histological grades of breast carcinoma in correlation with hormone receptor status was studied in 60 Indian breast cancer patient's formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue blocks. Relative expression of BMI1 was studied using real-time PCR. Immunohistochemistry explained the distribution of hormone receptor markers. Correlation of BMI1 gene expression with oestrogen receptor, progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2/neu status was analysed using Hex-protein docking tool. The hormone receptor expression was reduced with increasing grades of breast tumour. BMI1 gene expression was downregulated (real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis). Docking analysis explained the correlation between BMI1 and PR expression. BMI1 gene was co-regulated (down) with PR in the invasive ductal breast carcinoma with relative progression explicating it a diagnostic biomarker for ductal carcinoma of the breast.
