RESUMO

Stable mixed dispersion of TiO2 and SiO2 was developed and hybrid TiO2/SiO2 layers were fabricated by the direct inkjet patterning technique. The prepared layers were tested for photoinduced hydrophilicity and their photocatalytic activity was tested using stearic acid and dichloroindophenol as model compounds. The antimicrobial activity of prepared layers was tested and evaluated by the traditional plate counting method according to ISO 27447:2009, using Escherichia coli CCM 3988. Material printing proved to be well suited for the deposition of this complex nanoparticulate ink and samples with variable thickness were conveniently fabricated. Printed layers are able to change their surface properties from hydrophobic to superhydrophilic and also decompose the model contaminants rapidly.

Novel 7-substituted 6-oxo-6,9-dihydro[1,2,5]selenadiazolo[3,4-h]quinoline (SeQ(1-6)) and 8-substituted 9-oxo-6,9-dihydro[1,2,5]selenadiazolo[3,4-f ]quinoline derivatives (SeQN(1-5)) with R(7), R(8) =H, COOC(2) H(5), COOCH(3), COOH, COCH(3) or CN were synthesized and their spectral characteristics were obtained by UV/Vis spectroscopy. Ultraviolet A photoexcitation of the selenadiazoloquinolones in dimethylsulfoxide or acetonitrile resulted in the formation of paramagnetic species coupled with molecular oxygen activation generating the superoxide radical anion or singlet oxygen, evidenced by electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. The cytotoxic/photocytotoxic impact of selenadiazoloquinolones on murine and human cancer cell lines was demonstrated using the derivative SeQ5 (with R(7)=COCH(3)).

The degradation fo steroid glycoalkaloids (SGAs) has been studied in model solutions. The number of colony forming units (CFU) was determined using a nondirect (cultivation) method during all stages of fermentation. The changes in SGAs content were observed by HPLC on the Supelcosil LC-NH2 column. The changes in alpha-tomatine concentration added to fermented Lactobacillus MRS broth have been studied. A mathematical model of steroid glycoalkaloids degradation during lactic fermentation was proposed. The mathematical model was based on the experimental data of SGA and glucose concentration and should be used for study and prediction of SGA concentration changes of fermented samples. The ratio of SGA degradation rate by fermentation and by lactic acid hydrolysis was calculated. The experimental data evaluated by proposed mathematical model for the selected strain of Lactobacillus plantarum 976H show real feasibility for SGA degradation by lactic acid fermentation.
