[Selection of a method of epidural administration of drugs at the lumbosacral level]. / Vybor sposoba épidural'nogo vvedeniia lekarstvennykh veshchestv na poiasnichno-krestsovom urovne.

Epidurograms made at the lumbosacral level in 200 patients were analyzed. It was ascertained that to select the optimum route of administration of drugs into the epidural space it is advisable that preliminary epidurography be performed via a low sacral puncture and the routes of contrast medium distribution be controlled. If its larger part makes its appearance parasacrally, epidural punctures should be performed at the lumbar level.

[Transient circulatory disorders of the spinal cord]. / Prekhodiashchie narusheniia krovoobrashcheniia spinnogo mozga.

Twelve patients with transient disturbances of the blood circulation in the spinal cord are described. The principal cause of the disease in these patients were degenerative and dystrophic changes in the vertebral column. The catamnesis was studied. In 5 patients repeated transient disturbances of the spinal circulation were observed (the observation period ranging from 2 months to 4 years) and 7 patients developed hemorrhages to the spinal cord (within a period from 3 months to 24 years from the disease onset). It is suggested that patients with transient disturbances of the spinal circulation should be treated surgically (in order to eliminate the discovascular conflict).
