Historia del surgimiento de los hospitales de la ciudad de Camagüey / History of the origin of the hospitals in Camagüey city

En el presente trabajo se hace una síntesis histórica del surgimiento de las instalaciones hospitalarias de la ciudad de Camagüey tanto de la etapa colonial como de la neo colonial y hasta nuestros días, ofreciendo una aproximación a la imagen de dichas instituciones hospitalarias desde un enfoque socio-histórico. Los métodos utilizados para recopilar la información fueron revisiones bibliográficas y entrevistas personales. El trabajo tiene como objetivo hurgar en la imagen de los hospitales de la ciudad desde sus inicios hasta el triunfo revolucionario. Con su divulgación aspiramos a contribuir modestamente al proceso formativo de nuestros estudiantes, y aportarle datos e información a los profesionales que intervienen en este proceso, sobre el conocimiento de nuestras raíces (AU)

This work gathers historical synthesis of the first hospital facilities of the city of Camagüey from the colonial times up to present days. It provides an approach about the image of hospital institutions from a historical outlook. The methods used to gather the information were bibliographical revisions and personal interviews. The work has as objective to poke in the image of the hospitals of the city from their beginnings until the revolutionary victory. With their spreading we aim at contributing to the formation of our students, and to give them data and information about the professionals that participate in this process, of knowing about our beginnings in the field (AU)
