[The prognostic significance of particular immunological indicators of lachrymal fluid in patients using soft contact lenses].

The study was carried out to identify concentrations of vessel epithelium growth factor (VEGF), souble forms of VEGF receptor type I and II, chemo-toxic protein I and metalloproteinase-9 in lachrymal fluid. The immune enzyme analysis was applied. He sampling included patients with myopia without complications while using silicone hydro-helium and hydro-helium contact lenses and patients with hypoxic complications of contact correction. It is established that application of hydro-helium and silicone hydro-helium contact lenses more than one year is followed by increasing of concentration of detected substances in lachrymal fluid. Under hypoxic complications of contact correction the levels of substances are significantly higher than in cases without complications. This occurrence makes it possible to substantiate possibility of application of immunologic indicators as diagnostic markers.

[The proapoptotic p53 (C72G) and p21 (C31A) polymorphisms as the risk factors for the development of primary open-angle glaucoma in Transbaikalian region].

The incidence of p53 (C72G) and p21 (C31A) proapoptotic polymorphisms is studied in Russian and Buryat population of Transbaicalian region and prognostic value of these polymorphisms in development of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) is assessed. Significant difference in incidence of p53 and p21 was found between healthy subjects and glaucoma patients in both ethnic groups. The incidence of C and G variants of p53-gene and C and A variants of p21-gene differ in glaucoma patients and healthy subjects. The study lets us propose that p53 (C72G) and p27 (C31A) polymorphisms contribute to the risk of POAG onset in Russian and Buryat population as well.

[The aggregation capacity of thrombocytes, lymphocytic thrombocytic adhesion and content of D-dimers in patients with acute acetic acid intoxication].

In patients with acute acetic acid intoxication the diminution of degree and velocity of thrombocytes aggregation against the background of their amount attenuation in peripheral blood is established. The significant augmentation of amount of lymphocytic thrombocytic complexes and -dimers concentration in blood is revealed. The most marked alterations are determined on first and second days in patients with severe degree of intoxication.

[Prognostic value of platelet aggreagation capacity and lymphocyte-platelet adhesion in patients suffering acute poisoning with acetic acid].

The patients experiencing severe acute poisoning with acetic acid were divided into 2 groups with and without exotoxic shock to study platelet aggregation capacity and lymphocyte-platelet adhesion. The data obtained were used to develop exotoxic shock probability coefficient for patients with acute poisoning.

[Collagen-binding activity of Willebrand factor and thrombocyte aggregation in patients with frostbite].

In the article was quoted data about the thrombocyte aggregation and collagenbinding activity of Willebrand factor in the blood of 50 patients with local frostbite of third and forth degree. Thrombocyte aggregation was studied with the help of photometry. Collagenbinding activity of Willebrand factor was determined with the help of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. It was established that decrease of intensity, potential and rate of induced thrombocyte aggregation took place in patients. Collagenbinding activity of Willebrand factor in blood plasma increase in 1, 7-2, 6 times.

[The role of lymphocyte-platelet adhesions, cytokines and endothelial dysfunction in pathogenesis of cold-induced lesions].

We studied the role of lymphocyte-platelet adhesion, IL-1beta, TNFalpha and endothelial dysfunction in pathogenesis of damage in local frostbites. Examination of 60 patients aged 17-50 years with frostbites of the second-forth degree has demonstrated that in patients with local frostbites the number of lymphocyte-platelet adhesions, circulating desquamated endothelial cells increases as well as the level of proinflammatory cytokines, while nitrites concentration decreases.

[Lymphocyte-platelet adhesion and the content of D-dimers in patients with acute acetic acid poisoning].

Disseminated intravascular coagulation is a menacing complication due to acute acetic acid poisoning. However, many key mechanisms of this condition remain to be not clearly understood. The authors have studied lymphocyte-platelet adhesion and D-dimer concentrations in the blood. The most pronounced changes were observed in patients with severe poisoning in the first 24 hours, which were characterized by a significant increase in the number of lymphocyte-platelet complexes and D-dimer concentrations in the blood. A statistically significant correlation was established between the parameters being studied.

[Age features of haemostasis in human].

In article the items of information of the literature and own data of the authors on changes haemostasis in humans, since the moment of birth and finishing old age are resulted. It is shown, that platelet aggregation enhances, ability of lymphocytes to form the co-aggregates with platelets decreases, blood coagulation increases, fibrinolysis depresses in elderly and old people. The received data are explained by increase with age of the contents pro-inflammatory cytokines, resulting to the amplified synthesis of inductors of aggregation, tissue factor and inhibitors of fibrinolysis by monocytes, macrophages and endothelium of vessel wall.

Immunological status, levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines of non-specific resistance and tumor expression factor have been studied in patients with cervical dysplasia or cancer versus stage. Slight and moderate dysplasia involved virtually no changes in interleukin-8 (Il-8) and tumor necrotic factor TNF-alpha concentrations whereas those of Il-1 alpha and Il-1 beta were 5 times as high. Monocyte-dependent expression of tissue factor was similar to that in healthy women. In cases of advanced dysplasia and cervical carcinoma, monocyte-dependent expression of tissue factor and production of Il-1 alpha, Il-1 beta, Il-8 and TNF-alpha were significantly enhanced. Patients with cervical carcinoma stage II and III revealed signs of depression of the cellular component of immunity as well as non-specific resistance. Hence, increased concentrations of cytokines induce monocyte-dependent expression of tissue factor in advanced dysplasia and cervical carcinoma by triggering-on of hypercoaggulation.

Effects of recombinant interleukin-1 (IL-1) involved an inhibition of adhesion and thrombocyte aggregation. In heparinised blood, the IL-1 activates production of protein C (PnC), alpha 2-macroglobulin (alpha 2-MG) and alpha 1-antitrypsin (alpha 1-AT) and facilitates formation of the fibrinolysis inhibitors. In fibrinolysed blood, the IL-1 suppresses production of PnC, alpha 2-MG, alpha 1-AT, and inhibits the fibrinolysis. In a blood clot, the IL-1 suppresses production of PnC, alpha 2-MG, alpha 1-AT and activates the fibrinolysis.

The authors share their experiences with treatment of 32 patients with burns of the III-IV degrees using an immunomodulator Thymalin which promoted liquidation of the syndrome of disseminated intravascular coagulation, normalization of fibrinolysis, influenced the content of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokins. It allowed to shorten the terms of the first autodermoplasty at an average by 5 days and to make staying of burned patients at the hospital 11 days shorter.

Antiinflammatory cytokines IL-1 alpha, IL-1 beta, IL-8, and TNF-alpha are measured and clinical course of the postoperative period is analyzed in 30 women after cesarean section. Postoperative endometritis can be predicted from an increase in the concentrations of IL-8 and TNF-alpha on days 2-3 after delivery. Early (preclinical) treatment of endometritis improves the treatment efficacy and decreases hospital stay of the patients.
