Based upon their experience with treatment of 259 patients the authors have shown that purulent diseases are caused mainly by Staphylococcus aureus in combination with other microbes. The microflora of purulent wounds often was antibiotic-resistant. The duration of treatment is dependent on the character of the microflora.

[Clinico-experimental research on the use of collagen in periodontal disease]. / Kliniko-éksperimental'nye issledovaniia primeneniia kollagena pri zabolevanii parodonta.

Clinico-experimental studies of a new collagen derivative are presented. Experimental investigation in 30 rats showed the substance to promote wound healing. It also proved efficient in the five-years clinical follow-up of 254 patients after 441 surgical interventions (generalized periodontitis).
