RESUMO

Methods of endogenous stimulation of the exocrinous pancreatic function in chronic primary gastroduodenitis were used. It was expressed in parallel gastric hyperchlorhydria, hyperproduction of pancreatic hydrocarbonates at initial stages of chronic primary gastroduodenitis and reduction of their excretion with diverse changes of the activity of pancreatic enzymes in prolonged and persistent course of the disease.

RESUMO

Clinical and experimental studies demonstrated lowering of reduced glutathione, activation of glutathione reductase and peroxidase in peptic ulcer more pronounced in associated chronic hepatitis or non-ulcerative colitis. Clinical manifestations of the disease and biochemical shifts in glutathione system go in parallel. Disturbances of glutathione system seem to be involved in the origin and recurrences of gastroduodenal ulcer. New approaches are needed in therapeutic decisions and means in peptic ulcer especially in its combination with chronic hepatitis and non-ulcerative colitis.

RESUMO

At the Ukrainian Centre for Hemophilia, from 1980, 123 patients with A and B hemophilia and involvement of the large joints have been treated. A programme for complex orthopedic-surgical treatment against the background of full-value antihemophilic therapy has been developed. Use of the given programme permitted to improve the results of treatment and prevent the development of severe arthropathy of the knee, ankle and elbow joints with preservation of their function in 50% of the patients.

RESUMO

Results are reported of a two-year rehabilitative treatment of 17 patients with anococcygeal pain syndrome. The I stage of treatment consisted of intrarectal administration of anti-inflammatory reparative anesthetic aerosols "Olasol" and "Cimesol" in association with phonophoresis on the lumbosacral zone. At the 11 stage prophylaxis of recurrences was carried out by dietary and physiotherapeutic correction of constipation as well as short repeat courses of "soft" aerosols "Livian", "Levovinisol" or "Vinisol" in association with phonophoresis every 4-6 months. The medical and economic efficacy of the method is emphasized. Recurrences were 3.5 times less frequent.

RESUMO

The authors describe their experience in treatment of 306 patients with fractures of the neck of the femur. With regard to the age of the patients, the localization of the fracture, the character of dislocation of the fragments, the manifestation of involutional and neurodystrophic changes at the proximal end of the femur and the presence of associated diseases the authors advise strictly differentiated approach in choosing the surgical method of treatment, especially in senile patients. It contributes to their early activization, improves the results of the treatment and reduces the mortality rate.

RESUMO

The authors suggested and tried a method for the treatment of chronic (nonulcerative) colitis using the trace element-vitamin-energy infants products for enteral nutrition Malysh, Detolact or Vitalact combined with intestinal administration of the antiinflammatory-repair-anesthetizing aerosol remedies Olasol, Cimesol, Levovinisol, Vinisol or Livian. The method is characterized by an appreciable medical and economic efficacy, it is unsophisticated and can be widely used in medical practice at all stages of the treatment.

RESUMO

A study was made of external secretory pancreatic function in 167 patients with chronic primary gastroduodenitis (CPGD), 64 with duodenal ulcer (DU) and 10 healthy persons using a method of endogenous and exogenous (in some of the patients) stimulation with secretin and pancreozymin. The phasic nature of these disturbances was revealed. At early stages it manifested itself in an increase in the volume of juice production and bicarbonate debit, later on-in a decrease in bicarbonate excretion with a tendency to an increase in amylase and trypsin activity, in a prolonged course--in a progressive decrease in bicarbonate excretion and activity of one or two enzymes. Correlations of clinical signs with endoscopic and histological changes in the gastric mucosa, disturbances of the biliferous tracts were noted. More significant reversibility of deviations revealed during treatment in CPGD as compared to duodenal ulcer was established. The authors recommended that the disturbances revealed should be taken into account in the course of therapy and prophylaxis.
