[Endoscopic sclerosing as an alternative method of treatment of the portal hypertension syndrome in children]. / Endoskopichne sklerozuvannia iak al'ternatyvnyi metod likuvannia syndromu portal'noï hipertenziï u ditei.

Endoscopic sclerosing of the varicose esophageal veins under the general anesthesy was conducted in 151 children aged from 4 mo to 14 years, 70 of them operated on before; while the hemorrhage continues--in 11, after the hemorrhage ending. Procedure was redone in 1 week. While the control esophagoscopy in 1 year after endoscopic sclerosing the vein obliteration was revealed in 17 children.

[The forming of distal splenorenal anastomosis in conjunction with gastroesophageal junction suturing during treatment of the portal hypertension syndrome in children]. / Formuvannia dystal'noho splenorenal'noho anastomozu v poiednanni z proshyvanniam shlunkovo-stravokhidnoho perekhodu pry likuvanni syndromu portal'noï hipertenziï u ditei.

The results of operations in 147 patients, performed for the portal hypertension syndrome, are adduced. The patients aged from 8 mo to 14 years. The best late follow-up result was noted after the distal splenorenal anastomosis forming in conjunction with suturing of esophageal veins and left gastric vein.
