RESUMO

PURPOSE OF THE REVIEW: With the increasing prevalence of cesarean section globally, the importance of perioperative analgesia for cesarean section is becoming increasingly evident. This article provides an overview and update on the current status of cesarean section worldwide and associated analgesic regimens. RECENT FINDINGS: Some recent studies unveiled potential association of neuraxial analgesia might be associated with children's autism, pharmacologic analgesia in obstetric will potentially gain some more attention. Various commonly used techniques and medications for analgesia in cesarean section are highlighted. While neuraxial administration of opioid remains the most classic method, the use of multimodal analgesia, particularly integration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, acetaminophen, peripheral nerve blocks has provided additional and better options for patients who are not suitable for intrathecal and neuraxial techniques and those experiencing severe pain postoperatively. Optimal pain management is crucial for achieving better clinical outcomes and optimal recovery, and with the continuous development of medications, more and better pharmacologic regimen will be available in the future.

RESUMO

Zein is the main vegetable protein from maize. In recent years, Zein has been widely used in pharmaceutical, agriculture, food, environmental protection, and other fields because it has excellent biocompatibility and biosafety. However, there is still a lack of systematic review and research on Zein-based nano-delivery systems. This paper systematically reviews preparation and modification methods of Zein-based nano-delivery systems, based on the basic properties of Zein. It discusses the preparation of Zein nanoparticles and the influencing factors in detail, as well as analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of different preparation methods and summarizing modification methods of Zein nanoparticles. This study provides a new idea for the research of Zein-based nano-delivery system and promotes its application.

RESUMO

Stretching and manipulating DNA efficiently is significant for exploring the properties and applications of single DNA molecules. Here, the influence of concentrations of buffer and DNA on properties of stretched DNA molecules in the molecular evaporation combing (MEC) is investigated systematically with the single molecule fluorescence imaging microscopy and the high-precision drop shape analyzing technology. The stretched degree and uniformity of combed DNA molecules decrease as the buffer concentration are increased from 7 to 20mM. When the buffer concentration changes from 12 to 15mM, the stretched DNA molecules are apt to form a ringlike pattern. During the MEC process, there exist two kinds of evaporation modes, i.e., the constant contact angle mode and the constant contact radius mode. The former only takes effect in the lower concentration of buffer and DNA, enabling the uniform stretching. While the latter plays the leading role in the higher concentration, promoting the formation of the ringlike pattern of DNA molecules.
