There is evidence for the direct association between body composition, the magnitude of the systemic inflammatory response, and outcomes in patients with colorectal cancer. Patients with a primary operable disease with and without follow-up CT scans were examined in this study. CT scans were used to define the presence and changes in subcutaneous fat, visceral fat, skeletal muscle mass, and skeletal muscle density (SMD). In total, 804 patients had follow-up scans and 83 patients did not. Furthermore, 783 (97%) patients with follow-up scans and 60 (72%) patients without follow-up scans were alive at 1 year. Patients with follow-up scans were younger (p < 0.001), had a lower American Society of Anaesthesiology Grade (p < 0.01), underwent a laparoscopic surgery (p < 0.05), had a higher BMI (p < 0.05), a higher skeletal muscle index (SMI) (p < 0.01), a higher SMD (p < 0.01), and a better 1-year survival (p < 0.001). Overall only 20% of the patients showed changes in their SMI (n = 161) and an even lower percentage of patients showed relative changes of 10% (n = 82) or more. In conclusion, over the period of ~12 months, a low-skeletal muscle mass was associated with a systemic inflammatory response and was largely maintained following surgical resection.

BACKGROUND: In order to manage the COVID-19 systemic inflammatory response, it is important to identify clinicopathological characteristics across multiple cohorts. METHODS: The aim of the present study was to compare the 4C mortality score, other measures of the systemic inflammatory response and clinicopathological characteristics in two consecutive cohorts of patients on admission with COVID-19. Electronic patient records for 2 consecutive cohorts of patients admitted to two urban teaching hospitals with COVID-19 during two 7-week periods of the COVID-19 pandemic in Glasgow, U.K. (cohort 1: 17/3/2020-1/5/2020) and (cohort 2: 18/5/2020-6/7/2020) were examined for routine clinical, laboratory and clinical outcome data. RESULTS: Compared with cohort 1, cohort 2 were older (p<0.001), more likely to be female (p<0.05) and have less independent living circumstances (p<0.001). More patients in cohort 2 were PCR positive, CXR negative (both p<0.001) and had low serum albumin concentrations (p<0.001). 30-day mortality was similar between both cohorts (23% and 22%). In cohort 2, age >70 (p<0.05), male gender (p<0.05), COPD (p<0.05), cognitive impairment (p<0.05), frailty (p<0.001), delirium (p = 0.001), CRP>150mg/L (p<0.05), albumin <30 g/L (p<0.01), elevated perioperative Glasgow Prognostic Score (p<0.05), elevated neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (p<0.001), low haematocrit (p<0.01), elevated PT (p<0.05), sodium <133 mmol/L (p<0.01) elevated urea (p<0.001), creatinine (p<0.001), glucose (p<0.05) and lactate (p<0.001) and the 4C score (p<0.001) were associated with 30-day mortality. In multivariate analysis, greater frailty (CFS>3) (OR 11.3, 95% C.I. 2.3-96.7, p<0.05), low albumin (<30g/L) (OR 2.5, 95% C.I. 1.0-6.2, p<0.05), high NLR (≥3) (OR 2.2, 95% C.I. 1.5-4.5, p<0.05) and the 4C score (OR 2.4, 95% C.I. 1.0-5.6, p<0.05) remained independently associated with 30-day mortality. CONCLUSION: In addition to the 4C mortality score, frailty score and a low albumin were strongly independently associated with 30-day mortality in two consecutive cohorts of patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19. BACKGROUND: Severe COVID-19 infection results in a systemic inflammatory response (SIRS). This SIRS response shares similarities to the changes observed during the peri-operative period that are recognised to be associated with the development of multiple organ failure. METHODS: Electronic patient records for patients who were admitted to an urban teaching hospital during the initial 7-week period of the COVID-19 pandemic in Glasgow, U.K. (17th March 2020-1st May 2020) were examined for routine clinical, laboratory and clinical outcome data. Age, sex, BMI and documented evidence of COVID-19 infection at time of discharge or death certification were considered minimal criteria for inclusion. RESULTS: Of the 224 patients who fulfilled the criteria for inclusion, 52 (23%) had died at 30-days following admission. COVID-19 related respiratory failure (75%) and multiorgan failure (12%) were the commonest causes of death recorded. Age ≥ 70 years (p < 0.001), past medical history of cognitive impairment (p ≤ 0.001), previous delirium (p < 0.001), clinical frailty score > 3 (p < 0.001), hypertension (p < 0.05), heart failure (p < 0.01), national early warning score (NEWS) > 4 (p < 0.01), positive CXR (p < 0.01), and subsequent positive COVID-19 swab (p ≤ 0.001) were associated with 30-day mortality. CRP > 80 mg/L (p < 0.05), albumin < 35 g/L (p < 0.05), peri-operative Glasgow Prognostic Score (poGPS) (p < 0.05), lymphocytes < 1.5 109/l (p < 0.05), neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (p ≤ 0.001), haematocrit (< 0.40 L/L (male)/ < 0.37 L/L (female)) (p ≤ 0.01), urea > 7.5 mmol/L (p < 0.001), creatinine > 130 mmol/L (p < 0.05) and elevated urea: albumin ratio (< 0.001) were also associated with 30-day mortality. On multivariate analysis, age ≥ 70 years (O.R. 3.9, 95% C.I. 1.4-8.2, p < 0.001), past medical history of heart failure (O.R. 3.3, 95% C.I. 1.2-19.3, p < 0.05), NEWS > 4 (O.R. 2.4, 95% C.I. 1.1-4.4, p < 0.05), positive initial CXR (O.R. 0.4, 95% C.I. 0.2-0.9, p < 0.05) and poGPS (O.R. 2.3, 95% C.I. 1.1-4.4, p < 0.05) remained independently associated with 30-day mortality. Among those patients who tested PCR COVID-19 positive (n = 122), age ≥ 70 years (O.R. 4.7, 95% C.I. 2.0-11.3, p < 0.001), past medical history of heart failure (O.R. 4.4, 95% C.I. 1.2-20.5, p < 0.05) and poGPS (O.R. 2.4, 95% C.I. 1.1-5.1, p < 0.05) remained independently associated with 30-days mortality. CONCLUSION: Age ≥ 70 years and severe systemic inflammation as measured by the peri-operative Glasgow Prognostic Score are independently associated with 30-day mortality among patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19 infection.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: The systemic inflammatory response is associated with the loss of lean tissue, anorexia, weakness, fatigue and reduced survival in patients with advanced cancer and therefore is important in the definition of cancer cachexia. The aim of the present study was to carry out a direct comparison of the prognostic value of Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status (ECOG-PS), modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS) and Body Mass Index/Weight Loss Grade (BMI/WL grade) in patients with advanced cancer. METHOD: All data were collected prospectively across 18 sites in the UK and Ireland. Patient's age, sex, ECOG-PS, mGPS and BMI/WL grade were recorded, as were details of underlying disease including metastases. Survival data were analysed using univariate and multivariate Cox regression. RESULTS: A total of 730 patients were assessed. The majority of patients were male (53%), over 65 years of age (56%), had an ECOG-PS>0/1 (56%), mGPS≥1 (56%), BMI≥25 (51%), <2.5% weight loss (57%) and had metastatic disease (86%). On multivariate cox regression analysis ECOG-PS (HR 1.61 95%CI 1.42-1.83, p < 0.001), mGPS (HR 1.53, 95%CI 1.39-1.69, p < 0.001) and BMI/WL grade (HR 1.41, 95%CI 1.25-1.60, p < 0.001) remained independently associated with overall survival. In patients with a BMI/WL grade 0/1 both ECOG and mGPS remained independently associated with overall survival. CONCLUSION: The ECOG/mGPS framework may form the basis of risk stratification of survival in patients with advanced cancer.

Memantine (MEM) is used for improving the cognitive impairments of the patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease (AD) by multiple neuroprotective mechanisms. However, it is still not clear whether nerve growth factor (NGF) signaling is involved in the mechanisms of MEM. The present study investigated the neuroprotective effects of MEM treatment on the cognitive performance and amyloidosis in APP/PS1 transgenic mice, and disclosed the NGF-related mechanism of MEM. We found that MEM treatment improved the cognitive performance by decreasing the escape latency and path length in the navigation test, by shortening the duration in target quadrant and reducing the frequency to pass through the target in probe trial, and by prolonging the latency and decreasing the frequencies of entering the dark compartment in passive avoidance test. The over-expressions of Aß(1-42) and amyloid precursor protein (APP) were also decreased in the brains of APP/PS1 mice. Interestingly, MEM treatment improved the decreased NGF levels in APP/PS1 mice. Furthermore, NGF/TrkA signaling was activated by increasing the phosphorylation levels of tyrosine kinase (TrkA), proto-oncogene serine/threonine-protein kinase, Raf1 (c-Raf), extracellular regulated protein kinases (ERK)1/2 and cAMP-response element binding protein (CREB) after MEM treatment. Simultaneously, MEM also inhibited NGF/p75(NTR) signaling via decreasing the cleavage substrate of p75(NTR), increasing the JNK2 phosphorylation and decreasing the levels of p53 and cleaved-caspase 3. Therefore, the dual-regulation on NGF signaling was attributed to the improvements of cognitive deficits and Aß depositions in APP/PS1 mice. In conclusion, MEM treatment activated the NGF/TrkA signaling, and inhibited the p75(NTR) signaling in APP/PS1 mice to ameliorate the behavioral deficits and amyloidosis, indicating that NGF signaling was a new potential target of MEM treatment for AD therapy.

Fanconi anemia complementation group F protein (FANCF) is a key factor, which maintains the function of FA/BRCA, a DNA damage response pathway. However, the functional role of FANCF in breast cancer has not been elucidated. We performed a specific FANCF-shRNA knockdown of endogenous FANCF in vitro. Cell viability was measured with a CCK-8 assay. DNA damage was assessed with an alkaline comet assay. Apoptosis, cell cycle, and drug accumulation were measured by flow cytometry. The expression levels of protein were determined by Western blot using specific antibodies. Based on these results, we used cell migration and invasion assays to demonstrate a crucial role for FANCF in those processes. FANCF shRNA effectively inhibited expression of FANCF. We found that proliferation of FANCF knockdown breast cancer cells (MCF-7 and MDA-MB-435S) was significantly inhibited, with cell cycle arrest in the S phase, induction of apoptosis, and DNA fragmentation. Inhibition of FANCF also resulted in decreased cell migration and invasion. In addition, FANCF knockdown enhanced sensitivity to doxorubicin in breast cancer cells. These results suggest that FANCF may be a potential target for molecular, therapeutic intervention in breast cancer.

The main objective of this study was to investigate the pharmacokinetic characters of eszopiclone (CAS: 138729-47-2) after single and multiple-dose oral administration in healthy adult Chinese volunteers.In single-dose study, 12 subjects were given oral administrations of 1.5, 3 and 6 mg eszopiclone in an open-label, randomized, crossover fashion. In multiple-dose study, 8 subjects were given 3 mg eszopiclone once daily consecutively for 7 days. Blood samples were collected over 24 h and plasma eszopiclone were determined using a validated liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) assay. The safety and tolerability of eszopiclone was evaluated by adverse events recording, physical examination, laboratory testing, vital signs, and 12-lead ECG findings.The main pharmacokinetic parameters of eszopiclone after single-dose administration were as follows: doses of 1.5, 3 and 6 mg; Cmax of 18.08±4.65, 38.29±15.41 and 76.38±23.34 ng/ml; Tmax of 0.94±0.39, 1.04±0.63 and 1.08±0.51 h; AUC0-24 of 110.90±23.06, 227.36±62.41 and 504.10±140.13 ng*h/ml; elimination half-lives of 5.84±1.03, 5.53±1.91 and 6.17±1.23 h. After multiple-dose administration, the steady-state levels of eszopiclone were achieved by the 4th day, and the main pharmacokinetic parameters were Css_max at 33.43±5.63 ng/ml and AUCss (0-24) at 263.30±51.21 ng*h/ml. The most common adverse event was bitter or abnormal taste. All the adverse events were judged as mild to moderate and resolved without any medication.The pharmacokinetic character of eszopiclone is linear and dose-proportional over the range of 1.5-6 mg. The systemic exposure does not accumulate with once-daily administrations. Eszopiclone appears to have good safety and is well tolerated.

The purpose of the study is to examine the differences in insulin resistance and postprandial triglyceride (TG) response between hypertensive patients with or without hypertriglyceridaemia. The study is a comparative cohort study with matching. Thirty-one newly diagnosed hypertensive patients without any medication were recruited from a health survey. The participants were further divided into two groups: those with fasting TG <2.26 mmol/L, and those with TG between 2.26 and 5.65 mmol/L. Both groups were matched in age, sex, body mass index and waist circumference. Each patient received a 75-g oral glucose tolerance test, an insulin suppression test, and a 1000 kcal high fat mixed meal test. The hypertriglyceridaemic hypertensive patients had significantly higher fasting insulin, 2-h plasma glucose, 2-h insulin, and steady-state plasma glucose (SSPG) (13.16 +/- 1.87 vs 9.76 +/- 3.18 mmol/L). They also had a greater postprandial TG response to the challenge of mixed meal (DeltaAUC 20.76 +/- 10.06 vs 7.97 +/- 3.18 mmol 8 h/L). The postprandial TG response was closely correlated (r = 0.72-0.95, P < 0.0001) with fasting TG in all hypertensive patients. Both fasting TG levels and postprandial TG response were significantly (P < 0.05) correlated with SSPG. In conclusion, the hypertensive patients with hypertriglyceridaemia were more insulin resistant than those without it. Exacerbation of postprandial hypertriglyceridaemia was identified in these patients. The TG response to the challenge of high fat meal was significantly correlated with fasting TG and insulin resistant in them. The results provide a rationale for the alleviation of insulin resistance and hypertriglyceridaemia in these atherosclerosis-prone hypertensive patients.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the distribution pattern for serum lipid concentrations among patients with different degrees of chronic renal failure; to study the characteristics of abnormal lipid metabolism for chronic renal failure patients when the disease progress further. SETTING: No. 255 Hospital of PLA, Tangshan, Hebei, China; No. 281 Hospital of PLA, Beidanhe, Hebei, China; and the General Hospital of Beijing Military Region, Beijing, China. PRACTICE DESCRIPTION: A total of 240 serum/urine samples from 50 healthy volunteers and from 190 patients with different degrees of chronic renal failure, which fall into four groups according to their glomerular filtration rates, were measured for serum levels of triglyceride, lipoprotein(a), lipoprotein(a) cholesterol, total cholesterol, apolipoprotein A1, apolipoprotein B100, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, and for urine albumin concentrations; the levels of these criteria were compared between the control group and diseased groups; the mean concentrations of different lipid variables were paired and subjected to linear regression analysis. MAIN OUTCOME MEASUREMENTS: Glomerular filtration rates were estimated by the iohexol clearance method, in which plasma content of iohexol was measured with high performance liquid chromatography; concentrations of triglyceride, lipoprotein(a), lipoprotein(a) cholesterol, total cholesterol, apolipoprotein A1, apolipoprotein B100, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, and albumin were assayed according to standard protocols. RESULTS: Serum levels of triglyceride, lipoprotein(a), lipoprotein(a) cholesterol, total cholesterol, apolipoprotein A1, apolipoprotein B100, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, and urine albumin contents were significantly higher, whereas those of high density lipoprotein cholesterol were lower, in diseased groups than that of the control (p < 0.05, p < 0.01). When the disease progressed, concentrations of these criteria increased or decreased further (p < 0.01, p < 0.05). Significant correlations were found between a few lipid criteria for their mean concentrations in diseased groups. CONCLUSION: The study demonstrates a correlation between abnormalities of lipid metabolism and the degrees of kidney insufficiency, and a correlation within certain kinds of lipid criteria in patients with different degrees of renal damage. The results suggest the existence of multi-correlations in vivo in catabolism and metabolism of lipid, lipoprotein, apolipoprotein, and protein in the patients. The exact mechanism responsible for the association and correlation remains to be clarified.

AIM: To detect inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3) formation of pregnant and nonpregnant human myometrial cells induced by acetylcholine (ACh). METHODS: [3H] IP3 competitive protein binding assay. RESULTS: Basal levels of IP3 in pregnant and nonpregnant human myometrial cells were (82 +/- 9) and (96 +/- 10) nmol.g-1 (protein), respectively (n = 6). Incubated with ACh 50 mumol.L-1 for 5 min, IP3 reached the peak levels (109 +/- 11) and (122 +/- 15) nmol.g-1 (protein), respectively (n = 6), but difference of the increments of IP3 in pregnant and nonpregnant women was not significant. The increased IP3 induced by ACh was inhibited by atropine (Atr) 1 mumol.L-1. CONCLUSION: The basal IP3 level in pregnant cervix myometrial cells was higher than that in nonpregnant women. ACh increased the IP3 formation.

OBJECTIVE: To estimate the stability and reliability of lipoprotein(a) cholesterol measurement, and explore the possibility to evaluate lipoprotein(a) excess in plasma by using lipoprotein(a)-cholesterol assay alternatively to assay lipoprotein(a). SETTING: Number 255 Hospital of PLA, Tangshan, Hebei, China. PRACTICE DESCRIPTION: A total of 396 plasma samples from 100 healthy people (control), 107 chronic renal failure patients, 114 coronary heart disease patients, and 75 cerebral infarction patients, respectively, were measured for lipoprotein(a) cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) mass; lipoprotein(a) cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) mass levels among control and diseased groups were compared; and lipoprotein(a) cholesterol levels and lipoprotein(a) mass values from the control group were subjected to linear regression analysis. MAIN OUTCOME MEASUREMENTS: The affinity between oligosaccharide contained in lipoprotein(a) and lectin wheat germ agglutinin to isolate lipoprotein(a) from other lipoproteins; lipoprotein(a) cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) mass detected by total cholesterol kits and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay kits, respectively. RESULTS: Both lipoprotein(a) cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) mass levels of the chronic renal failure, coronary heart disease, and cerebral infarction groups were significantly higher than those of the control (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01) whereas no difference was seen among the diseased groups at the 0.05 level. Regression analysis within the control group showed a very high correlation between lipoprotein(a) cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) (r = 0.9932). CONCLUSION: The results suggest that lipoprotein(a) cholesterol assay may be used in the place of lipoprotein(a) measurement for evaluating lipoprotein(a) excess for chronic renal failure, coronary heart disease, and cerebral infarction patients. Further studies about the mechanism of this association between lipoprotein(a) cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) levels are needed.

Saiko-ka-ryukotsu-borei-to (TJ-12) is a Japanese kampo medicine used clinically for the treatment of hypertension and atherosclerosis. We investigated the effects of TJ-12 on the contraction of rat thoracic aorta induced by norepinephrine, 5-hydroxytryptamine and high potassium. TJ-12 relaxed endothelium-denuded rings, which had been precontracted with 1 microM norepinephrine, in a dose-dependent manner with an IC50 of 50 micrograms/mL. However, in the presence of TJ-12, endothelium-intact rings initially showed enhanced norepinephrine-induced contraction, followed by relaxation. Interestingly, TJ-12 dose-dependently reversed nitric oxide (2 microM)-induced relaxation of norepinephrine-induced precontraction ofendothelium-denuded rings, with an IC50 of 20 micrograms/mL. In serotonin-contracted rings, TJ-12 caused slight, though statistically significant, relaxation only at high doses (> 200 micrograms/mL). In constrat to these receptor-mediated contractions, TJ-12 failed to affect the tension produced by high potassium 40 mM). These results suggest that the antihypertensive effects of TJ-12 could be related to inhibition of norepinephrine-induced vasoconstriction. In addition, our in vitro experiments revealed an inhibitory effect on nitric oxide-induced relaxation.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of tonifying Kidney herbs (TKH) in pituitary, ovary, adrenal gland of androgen sterilized rats(ASR). METHODS: ASR model was established by injecting testosterone propionate subcutaneously to SD female rats of 9 days age. Morphological and hormonal change of pituitary, ovary and adrenal gland in rats of 100-107 days old before and after feeding TKH extract were observed by light and electron microscope, cell culture immunohistochemical studies and radioimmuno-assay. RESULTS: In the ASR groups, there were intracytopiasmic lipid drops, autophagy, vacuole, granulolysis of pituitary gland. There were anovulation apparently and increased the amount of lipid drops in cytoplasm of interstitial glandular cell of ovary. The fatty drops of the reticular zone of adrenal gland decreased, the numbers of AGNOR (P < 0.01) and PCNA (P < 0.01) increased significantly. The levels of FSH, LH (P < 0.05-0.005) lowered, but the levels of DHA, T (P < 0.01, 0.05, 0.001) were raised significantly. Morphological and hormonal change of all RSA returned to normal range after the treatment. CONCLUSIONS: The hyperandrogenemia were disturbed by the function of sex gland axis and adrenal in female rats of 9 days old and played an important role in pathogenesis of ASR, the TKH reduced the levels of androgen and induced ovulation through sex gland axis and adrenal level and multi-organ regulation.

Young rats of 9-day old with testosterone propionate subcutaneously injected were used as an androgen sterilized rats (ASR) model. On 80th day, herbal extract of tonifying the Kidney was fed for 14 days, all animals were sacrificed by cardiac perfusion method on 100 days of ages. Morphological studies with light and electron microscope, immunohistochemical studies with argyrophilic nucleolar organiser region (AgNOR) and proliferating cell nucleolar antigen (PCNA) were used for observations on the morphological change of adrenal cortex. In control group (treated with testosterone propionate only) the reticular zone of the adrenal cortex extented widely in which cellular fatty drops, AgNOR and PCNA increased apparently. In animal treated with herbs, the width of the reticular zone, the numbers of AgNOR and PCNA reduced significantly to normal levels (P < 0.01, P < 0.01, P < 0.01) and numbers of fatty drops also decreased. It suggests that during inducing ovulation in ASR tonifying Kidney herbs simultaneously regulated the adrenal function besides the chief function on pituitary-ovary regulation.

Histological and immunohistochemical features of 12 cases of malignant myoepithelioma of the salivary glands were studied.There were 4 major histologic types in the tumor tissues:(1)clear tumor cells proliferated mainly with or without keratin peral;(2)spindle shaped tumor cells proliferated mainly with or without mucoid regions;(3)plasmacytoid(hyaline) tumor cells were arranged in adenoid configurations.In the immunohistochemical studies,the tumor cells were positive for actin;myosin;glial,fibrillary,acidic,protein.(GFAP);S-100 protein antibodies.The authors consider that the application of the above-mentioned antibodies may assist in the differentiated diagnosis of malignant myoepithlioma.

Injection of testosterone propionate 1.25 mg were given to SD rats on 9 days of age, and fed with replenishing Kidney herbal decoction as well as with distilled water as control from 80 to 94 days of age. On 100 days of age, all the rats were sacrificed and the pituitary glands and ovaries were excised for examination. In the ovaries, increase in interstitial glands' count and lowering of lipid drop's quantity in cytoplasm of interstitial glandular cells were observed after the treatment, and intracellular "crinophagy" and "autophagy" disappeared in the pituitary gland. After treatment with replenishing Kidney drugs, ovarian estrogen receptors increased whereas the ovarian progesterone receptors raised even higher. It suggests that both ovaries and pituitary gland in testosterone induced anovulatory rats were affected by herbs of replenishing Kidney.

Chemical pattern recognition was applied to the quality assessment of the traditional Chinese medicine "wei ling xian". The dried roots and rhizomes of Clematis chinensis Osbeck, Clematis hexapetalo Pall, and Clematis manshurica Rupr, 21 samples of "wei ling xian" of six different species which were collected from different regions of China, were extracted with methanol. The extracts were analyzed by gas chromatography and the GC data of "wei Ling xian" samples were correlated with their anti-inflammatory activity in pharmacologic experiments. Positive anti-inflammatory activity is regarded as the quality assurance of medicinal "wei ling xian". According to the results, the samples were classified as two groups, one having and the other not having distinct anti-inflammatory activity at the 5% significance level. Some samples were used as the training set, while some as the test set. The SIMCA program was used for the extraction of features and classification, whereas the PCA program for displaying the data in a two-dimensional space. The quality of unknown samples of "Wei Ling Xian" can be assessed as a result of the classification or the two-dimensional display.
