RESUMO

Atmospheric and room temperature plasma (ARTP) mutagenesis technology has been developed rapidly in recent years because of its simple operation, safety, environmental friendliness, high mutation rate, and large mutation library capacity. It has been widely used in traditional fields such as food, agriculture, and medicine, and has been gradually applied in emerging fields such as environmental remediation, bioenergy, and microalgae utilization. In this paper, the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) was used as the data source, and the keywords and core literature of ARTP mutagenesis technology were plotted by citespace software, and the research progress and research hotspots of ARTP mutagenesis technology were analyzed. Through citespace visualization analysis, it is concluded that the country with the largest number of studies is China, the institution with the largest number of studies is Jiangnan University, and the author of the most published papers is Jiangnan University. Through keyword analysis, it is concluded that the most widely used ARTP mutagenesis technology is fermentation-related majors, mainly for biosynthesis and microbial research at the molecular level. Among them, the most widely used microorganisms are Escherichia coli and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

RESUMO

The addition of baked Qingke improves the flavor profile of beer. In this study, beer was brewed using Qingke baked at various temperatures. The beer produced with Qingke baked at 180 °C achieved the highest sensory score (40/50), an alcohol content of 6.92% (v/v), a total phenolic content of 446.42 mg/L, melanoidin concentration of 98.22 g/L, a color value of 10.88 EBC, and exhibited satisfactory antioxidant activity. Analysis of volatile compounds using HS-SPME-GC-MS revealed 48 compounds, of which esters accounted for 63% and alcohols accounted for 27% of the total content. The flavor profile of the beer varied across different baking temperatures. Pyrazines and aldehydes were predominantly present in samples baked at higher temperatures (T3, T4, and T5). Correlation analysis showed that the baking flavor in the beer was primarily correlated with 2, 5-dimethyl-pyrazine, trimethyl-pyrazine, phenylacetaldehyde, and ethyl 9-decenoate (R > 0.9).

RESUMO

Objective: The study aims to assess the ultrasonic features of fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma (CR), track the perinatal outcome and postnatal disease progression, investigate the clinical utility of ultrasound, MRI and tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) gene analysis in CR evaluation, and offer evidence for determing of fetal CR prognosis. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of prenatal ultrasound-diagnosed fetal CR cases in our hospital from June 2011 to June 2022, tracked the perinatal outcomes, regularly followed live infants to analyze cardiac lesion changes and disease progression, and compared the sensitivities of ultrasound, MRI and their combination in the detecting of intracranial sclerosing nodules. Results: Our study included 54 fetuses with CR: 32 pregnancies were terminated, 22 were delivered, 35 were diagnosed with TSC, 13 had simple CR without TSC, and in 6 cases, remained unclear whether TSC accompanied the CR due to insufficient evidence. 45 fetuses (83.3%) had multiple lesions, while 9 fetuses (16.7%) presented with a single lesion. Twelve cases had intracardiac complications, all associated with multiple lesions, and these cases exhibited larger maximum tumor diameters than the non-complicated group. Multiple intracardiac lesions were more prevalent in the TSC group than in the simple CR group. However, there was no significant difference in maximum tumor diameter between the two groups. Among 30 fetuses who underwent fetal brain MRI, 23 were eventually diagnosed with TSC, with 11 fetuses showing intracranial sclerosis nodules by ultrasound and 15 by MRI, and the diagnostic consistency was moderate (k = 0.60). Twenty-two fetuses were born and followed up for 6-36 months. CR lesions diminished or disappeared in 18 infants (81.8%), while they remained unchanged in 4 infants (18.2%). Ten out of 12 (83.3%) surviving children diagnosed with TSC developed epilepsy, and 7 (58.3%) had neurodevelopmental dysfunction. Conclusions: The majority of CR cases involve multiple lesions, which are a primary risk factor for TSC. Through prenatal ultrasound examination is crucial for assessing fetal CR prognosis. Although ultrasound combined with MRI can detect intracranial sclerosis nodules in TSC fetuses, its sensitivity is limited. TSC gene sequencing is an essential diagnostic method. Simple CR cases without TSC generally have a favorable prognosis.

RESUMO

Green tea has great potential to enhance the quality of beer. In this study, green tea was added at different stages of beer brewing, and evaluated the antioxidant capacity, volatile components, as well as sensory quality. The results showed that the addition of green tea during the start of boiling has great potential for application, and the green tea beer (GTB) had remarkable antioxidant properties (ABTS radical scavenging ability, 8.67 mmol TE/L; DPPH radical scavenging ability, 3.97 mmol TE/L; reducing power, 3.28 mmol TE/L), and an excellent sensory quality (acceptance, 6.09/9). HPLC analysis indicated that the principal phenolics in GTB were catechin and caffeic acid, in addition, the relative amounts of ferulic acid, gallic acid can be used to differentiate between GTB and beer. HS-SPME-GC-MS analyses showed that ethyl caprylate, ethyl nonanoate, ethyl caprate, linalool, and phenethyl alcohol were potentially significant for the aroma profile of GTB.

RESUMO

At present, there are currently no reliable and consistent conclusions regarding transvaginal ultrasound assessment of endometrial receptivity in predicting clinical pregnancy outcomes of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET). Thus, in the present study, a meta-analysis was performed on multiple endometrial receptivity indices detected by vaginal ultrasound, aiming to provide a diagnostic basis for clinical practice. PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases were searched for studies published between the establishment of the databases through to January 2023. Studies that reported infertile women undergoing IVF-ET and undergoing vaginal ultrasound were included, but repeat publication, studies where the full text was not obtainable, studies where there was incomplete information provided or data extraction was not possible, studies on animals, case reports, reviews, and systematic reviews were excluded. STATA 15.1 was used to analyze the data. The pooled results showed that the endometrial thickness [Weighted mean difference (WMD)=0.03, 95% CI: 0.00-0.06; P=0.022] and endometrial volume (WMD=0.41, 95% CI: 0.07-0.74; P=0.017) of the pregnancy group after receiving IVF-ET were all significantly higher than that of the non-pregnancy group. The pooled results also showed that the vascularization index (VI) (WMD=0.79, 95% CI: 0.56-1.03; P=0.000), flow index (FI) (WMD=1.82, 95% CI: 0.83-2.81; P=0.000) and vascularization flow index (VFI) (WMD=1.58, 95% CI: 0.91-2.24; P=0.000) of the pregnancy group after receiving IVF-ET was significantly higher than that of the non-pregnancy group. Systolic/diastolic (S/D) (WMD=-4.92, 95%CI: -8.28- -1.56; P=0.004) of the uterine artery of the pregnancy group after receiving IVF-ET was significantly lower than that of the non-pregnancy group. However, the differences between the resistance index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) in the pregnancy group vs. the non-pregnancy group after receiving IVF-ET were not statistically significant. Vaginal ultrasound can be used to predict the outcomes of pregnancy in infertile women undergoing IVF-ET by measuring the thickness and volume of the endometrium, combined with the S/D, VI, FI, and VFI of the uterine artery.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: To investigate the relationship between body mass index (BMI) changes and large for gestational age (LGA) in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). METHODS: A retrospective cohort study including 10,486 women with GDM was conducted. A dose‒response analysis of BMI changes and the occurrence of LGA was performed. Binary logistic regressions were performed to assess crude and adjusted odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and areas under the curve (AUCs) were used to assess the ability of BMI changes to predict LGA. RESULTS: The probability of LGA increased with increasing BMI. The risk of LGA increased across the BMI change quartiles. The BMI change remained positively associated with the risk of LGAafter stratification analysis. The AUC was 0.570 (95% CI: 0.557 ~ 0.584)in the entire study population, and the best optimal predictive cut-off value was 4.922, with a sensitivity of 0.622 and a specificity of 0.486. The best optimal predictive cut-off value decreased from the underweight group to the overweight and obese group. CONCLUSIONS: BMI changes are related to the risk of LGA and may be a useful predictor of the incidence of LGA in singleton pregnant women with GDM.

RESUMO

Recently, there has been an increasing demand for developing a reliable method to assess the quality of liquor in the baijiu industry quickly and accurately. The present study sought to establish a strategy for rapid quantitative analysis of the primary flavor components in Nongxiangxing baijiu. Under the experimental conditions, 7 of the 10 major flavor components in Nongxiangxing baijiu could be quantified effectively, such as ethyl butyrate (R2p = 0.9942), ethyl lactate (R2p = 0.9438), n-butanol (R2p = 0.9048), isobutanol (R2p = 0.9696), acetic acid (R2p = 0.9600), butyric acid (R2p = 0.8448), caproic acid (R2p = 0.9971). This result indicates that FT-IR combined with quantitative chemometric modeling could be a potential approach for rapid quality assessment of Nongxiangxing baijiu. Overall, this study provides a theoretical basis for subsequent related studies on Nongxiangxing baijiu.

RESUMO

Background: Artificial intelligence breast ultrasound diagnostic system (AIBUS) has been introduced as an alternative approach for handheld ultrasound (HHUS), while their results in BI-RADS categorization has not been compared. Methods: This pilot study was based on a screening program conducted from May 2020 to October 2020 in southeast China. All the participants who received both HHUS and AIBUS were included in the study (N = 344). The ultrasound videos after AIBUS scanning were independently watched by a senior radiologist and a junior radiologist. Agreement rate and weighted Kappa value were used to compare their results in BI-RADS categorization with HHUS. Results: The detection rate of breast nodules by HHUS was 14.83%, while the detection rates were 34.01% for AIBUS videos watched by a senior radiologist and 35.76% when watched by a junior radiologist. After AIBUS scanning, the weighted Kappa value for BI-RADS categorization between videos watched by senior radiologists and HHUS was 0.497 (p < 0.001) with an agreement rate of 78.8%, indicating its potential use in breast cancer screening. However, the Kappa value of AIBUS videos watched by junior radiologist was 0.39, when comparing to HHUS. Conclusion: AIBUS breast scan can obtain relatively clear images and detect more breast nodules. The results of AIBUS scanning watched by senior radiologists are moderately consistent with HHUS and might be used in screening practice, especially in primary health care with limited numbers of radiologists.
