Computer-aided implant surgery has undergone continuous development in recent years. In this study, active and passive systems of dynamic navigation were divided into active dynamic navigation system group and passive dynamic navigation system group (ADG and PDG), respectively. Active, passive and semi-active implant robots were divided into active robot group, passive robot group and semi-active robot group (ARG, PRG and SRG), respectively. Each group placed two implants (FDI tooth positions 31 and 36) in a model 12 times. The accuracy of 216 implants in 108 models were analysed. The coronal deviations of ADG, PDG, ARG, PRG and SRG were 0.85 ± 0.17 mm, 1.05 ± 0.42 mm, 0.29 ± 0.15 mm, 0.40 ± 0.16 mm and 0.33 ± 0.14 mm, respectively. The apical deviations of the five groups were 1.11 ± 0.23 mm, 1.07 ± 0.38 mm, 0.29 ± 0.15 mm, 0.50 ± 0.19 mm and 0.36 ± 0.16 mm, respectively. The axial deviations of the five groups were 1.78 ± 0.73°, 1.99 ± 1.20°, 0.61 ± 0.25°, 1.04 ± 0.37° and 0.42 ± 0.18°, respectively. The coronal, apical and axial deviations of ADG were higher than those of ARG, PRG and SRG (all P < 0.001). Similarly, the coronal, apical and axial deviations of PDG were higher than those of ARG, PRG, and SRG (all P < 0.001). Dynamic and robotic computer-aided implant surgery may show good implant accuracy in vitro. However, the accuracy and stability of implant robots are higher than those of dynamic navigation systems.

BACKGROUND: Digestive system cancers constitute a significant number of cancer cases, but their burden is not uniform. As Global Cancer Observatory (GLOBOCAN) 2022 has recently updated its estimates of cancer burden, we aimed to investigate the burden of six major digestive system cancers both worldwide and in China, along with geographical and temporal variations in cancer-specific incidence and mortality. METHODS: We extracted data on primary cancers of the esophagus, stomach, colorectum, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder from the GLOBOCAN database for 2022. Age-standardized incidence and mortality rates were calculated and stratified by sex, country, region, and human development index (HDI). We used the 2022 revision of the World Population Prospects (United Nations) to obtain demographic data for various age groups in China from 1988 to 2012 and used the joinpoint model and the average annual percentage change (AAPC) to analyze cancer incidence trends in China. RESULTS: In 2022, the estimated global incidence of digestive system cancers reached 4,905,882, with an estimated 3,324,774 cancer-related deaths. Colorectal cancer was most prevalent in terms of incidence and mortality. There was a significant correlation between the burden of gastrointestinal cancers and country HDI. From 1988 to 2012, the incidence of esophageal, gastric, and liver cancers declined in China, whereas colorectal and pancreatic cancer incidences continued to increase. By 2050, colorectal and liver cancers are projected to remain the leading cancer types in China in terms of incidence and mortality, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: Digestive system cancers remain a significant public health challenge globally and in China. Although progress has been made in the prevention and control of some cancers, the burden of digestive system cancers persists. The implementation of tertiary prevention strategies must be intensified to reduce the incidence and mortality of digestive system cancers, mitigating their impact on public health.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), together with carbon monoxide (CO) and nitric oxide (NO), is recognized as a vital gasotransmitter. H2S is biosynthesized by enzymatic pathways in the skin and exerts significant physiological effects on a variety of biological processes, such as apoptosis, modulation of inflammation, cellular proliferation, and regulation of vasodilation. As a major health problem, dermatological diseases affect a large proportion of the population every day. It is urgent to design and develop effective drugs to deal with dermatological diseases. Dermatological diseases can arise from a multitude of etiologies, including neoplastic growth, infectious agents, and inflammatory processes. The abnormal metabolism of H2S is associated with many dermatological diseases, such as melanoma, fibrotic diseases, and psoriasis, suggesting its therapeutic potential in the treatment of these diseases. In addition, therapies based on H2S donors that release H2S are being developed to treat some of these conditions. In the review, we discuss recent advances in the function of H2S in normal skin, the role of altering H2S metabolism in dermatological diseases, and the therapeutic potential of diverse H2S donors for the treatment of dermatological diseases.

Postnatal immune activation (PIA) induces persistent glial activation in the brain and causes various neuropathologies in adults. Exercise training improves stress-related mood disorders; however, the role of exercise in psychiatric disorders induced by early-life immune activation and the association between exercise training and glial activation remain unclear. We compared the effects of different exercise intensities on the PIA model, including high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT). Both HIIT and MICT in adolescent mice inhibited neuroinflammation, remodeled synaptic plasticity, and improved PIA-induced mood disorders in adulthood. Importantly, HIIT was superior to MICT in terms of reducing inflammation and increasing body weight. RNA-seq of prefrontal cortex (PFC) tissues revealed a gene expression pattern, confirming that HIIT was more effective than MICT in improving brain glial cell activation through epigenetic modifications of KDM6B. We investigated the role of KDM6B, a specific histone lysine demethylation enzyme - histone 3 lysine 27 demethylase, in inhibiting glial activation against PIA-induced depression and anxiety by regulating the expression of IL-4 and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Overall, our data support the idea that HIIT improves PIA-induced mood disorders by regulating KDM6B-mediated epigenetic mechanisms and indicate that HIIT might be superior to MICT in improving mood disorders with PIA in mice. Our findings provide new insights into the treatment of anxiety and depression disorders.

Heart rate (HR) and respiration rate (RR) play an important role in the study of complex behaviors and their physiological correlations in non-human primates (NHPs). However, collecting HR and RR information is often challenging, involving either invasive implants or tedious behavioral training, and there are currently few established simple and non-invasive techniques for HR and RR measurement in NHPs owing to their stress response or indocility. In this study, we employed a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar to design a novel contactless HR and RR monitoring system. The designed system can estimate HR and RR in real time by placing the FMCW radar on the cage and facing the chest of both awake and anesthetized macaques, the NHP investigated in this study. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms existing methods, with averaged absolute errors between the reference monitor and radar estimates of 0.77 beats per minute (bpm) and 1.29 respirations per minute (rpm) for HR and RR, respectively. In summary, we believe that the proposed non-invasive and contactless estimation method could be generalized as a HR and RR monitoring tool for NHPs. Furthermore, after modifying the radar signal-processing algorithms, it also shows promise for applications in other experimental animals for animal welfare, behavioral, neurological, and ethological research.

Background/Aims: Ubiquitination is widely involved in the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by regulating various cellular processes. However, systematic strategies for screening core ubiquitin-related genes, clarifying their functions and mechanisms, and ultimately developing potential therapeutics for patients with HCC are still lacking. Methods: Cox and LASSO regression analyses were performed to construct a ubiquitin-related gene prediction model for HCC. Loss- and gain-of-function studies, transcriptomic and metabolomics analysis were used to explore the function and mechanism of UBE2S on HCC cell glycolysis and growth. Results: Based on 1423 ubiquitin-related genes, a four-gene signature was successfully constructed to evaluate the prognosis of patients with HCC. UBE2S was identified in this signature with the potential to predict the survival of patients with HCC. E2F2 transcriptionally upregulated UBE2S expression by directly binding to its promoter. UBE2S positively regulated glycolysis in a HIF-1α-dependent manner, thus promoting the proliferation of HCC cells. Mechanistically, UBE2S enhanced K11-linkage polyubiquitination at lysine residues 171 and 196 of VHL independent of E3 ligase, thereby indirectly stabilizing HIF-1α protein levels by mediating the degradation of VHL by the proteasome. In particular, the combination of cephalomannine, a small molecule compound that inhibits the expression of UBE2S, and PX-478, an inhibitor of HIF-1α, significantly improved the anti-tumor efficacy. Conclusions: UBE2S is identified as a key biomarker in HCC among the thousands of ubiquitin-related genes and promotes glycolysis by E3 enzyme-independent ubiquitination, thus serving as a therapeutic target for the treatment of HCC.

2-Ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate (EHDPP) is a representative organophosphorus flame retardant (OPFR) that has garnered attention due to its widespread use and potential adverse effects. EHDPP exhibits cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, developmental toxicity, and endocrine disruption. However, the toxicity of EHDPP in mammalian oocytes and the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Melatonin is a natural free radical scavenger that has demonstrated cytoprotective properties. In this study, we investigated the effect of EHDPP on mouse oocytes in vitro culture system and evaluated the rescue effect of melatonin on oocytes exposed to EHDPP. Our results indicated that EHDPP disrupted oocyte maturation, resulting in the majority of oocytes arrested at the metaphase I (MI) stage, accompanied by cytoskeletal damage and elevated levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Nevertheless, melatonin supplementation partially rescued EHDPP-induced mouse oocyte maturation impairment. Results of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis elucidated potential mechanisms underlying these protective effects. According to the results of scRNA-seq, we conducted further tests and found that EHDPP primarily disrupts mitochondrial distribution and function, kinetochore-microtubule (K-MT) attachment, DNA damage, apoptosis, and histone modification, which were rescued upon the supplementation of melatonin. This study reveals the mechanisms of EHDPP on female reproduction and indicates the efficacy of melatonin as a therapeutic intervention for EHDPP-induced defects in mouse oocytes.

Functional traits are indicators of the responses and adaptation of organisms to environmental changes and cascade to a series of ecosystem functions. The functional traits of soil animals are sensitive to environmental factors and may characterize and predict the changes of ecosystem functions. Multiple dimensions of biodiversity that combing species, phylogenetic, and functional diversity improves the understanding of distribution patterns, community assembly mechanisms and ecosystem functions of soil animals. In this review, we listed the categories of soil animal functional traits and their ecological significance, and summarized current researches on the responses of soil animal communities to environmental changes and the community assembly processes based on trait-based approaches. We proposed to strengthen the study on the impacts of eco-evolution processes of biotic interactions to soil animal functional traits, establish the database of soil animal functional traits, and apply trait-based approaches in the ecological restoration in the future, which would benefit soil biodiversity conservation and sustainability of soil ecosystems.

Late-onset hypogonadism (LOH) is an age-related syndrome characterized by deficiency of serum testosterone produced by Leydig cells. Previous evidence suggested that microRNA (miR)-361-3p can serve as a promising biomarker for LOH. Nonetheless, its detailed function and molecular mechanism in LOH remain unclarified. The 24-month-old male mice were selected as an animal LOH model, and mouse Leydig cell line TM3 was stimulated with H2O2. ELISA was employed for testosterone level evaluation. Hematoxylin-eosin staining was implemented for histologic analysis of mouse testicular tissues. Western blotting and RT-qPCR were utilized for evaluating molecular protein and RNA expression, respectively. Functional experiments were conducted to test miR-361-5p roles. Luciferase reporter assay was for verifying the interaction between miR-361-5p and protein inhibitor of activated STAT 1 (PIAS1). miR-361-5p displayed a decreased level in the testes of LOH mice. Overexpressing miR-361-5p attenuated Leydig cell loss in the testis and elevated serum and intratesticular testosterone levels in LOH mice. H2O2 stimulation impaired TM3 cell viability, proliferation and intracellular testosterone production and enhanced cell apoptosis. miR-361-5p targeted PIAS1 in TM3 cell. PIAS1 upregulation counteracted miR-361-5p overexpression-mediated alleviation of cell apoptosis and elevation of testosterone synthesis in H2O2-stimualetd TM3 cells. miR-361-5p ameliorates LOH progression by increasing testosterone production and alleviate Leydig cell apoptosis via downregulation of PIAS1.

Controllable droplet manipulation has diverse applications; however, limited methods exist for externally manipulating droplets in confined spaces. Herein, we propose a portable triboelectric electrostatic tweezer (TET) by integrating electrostatic forces with a superhydrophobic surface that can even manipulate droplets in an enclosed space. Electrostatic induction causes the droplet to be subjected to an electrostatic force in an electrostatic field so that the droplet can be moved freely with the TET on a superhydrophobic platform. Characterized by its high precision, flexibility, and robust binding strength, TET can manipulate droplets under various conditions and achieve a wide range of representative fluid applications such as droplet microreactors, precise self-cleaning, cargo transportation, the targeted delivery of chemicals, liquid sorting, soft droplet robotics, and cell labeling. Specifically, TET demonstrated the ability to manipulate internal droplets from the outside of a closed system, such as performing cell labeling experiments within a sealed Petri dish without opening the culture system.

Coexisting orders are key features of strongly correlated materials and underlie many intriguing phenomena from unconventional superconductivity to topological orders. Here, we report the coexistence of two interacting charge-density-wave (CDW) orders in EuTe_{4}, a layered crystal that has drawn considerable attention owing to its anomalous thermal hysteresis and a semiconducting CDW state despite the absence of perfect Fermi surface nesting. By accessing unoccupied conduction bands with time- and angle-resolved photoemission measurements, we find that monolayers and bilayers of Te in the unit cell host different CDWs that are associated with distinct energy gaps. The two gaps display dichotomous evolutions following photoexcitation, where the larger bilayer CDW gap exhibits less renormalization and faster recovery. Surprisingly, the CDW in the Te monolayer displays an additional momentum-dependent gap renormalization that cannot be captured by density-functional theory calculations. This phenomenon is attributed to interlayer interactions between the two CDW orders, which account for the semiconducting nature of the equilibrium state. Our findings not only offer microscopic insights into the correlated ground state of EuTe_{4} but also provide a general nonequilibrium approach to understand coexisting, layer-dependent orders in a complex system.

Background: Multiple myeloma (MM) exhibits considerable heterogeneity in treatment responses and survival rates, even when standardized care is administered. Ongoing efforts are focused on developing prognostic models to predict these outcomes more accurately. Recently, neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) have emerged as a potential factor in MM progression, sparking investigation into their role in prognostication. Methods: In this study, a multi-gene risk scoring model was constructed using the intersection of NTEs and differentially expressed genes (DEGs), applying the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) Cox regression model. A nomogram was established, and the prognostic model's effectiveness was determined via Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, and decision curve analysis (DCA). The ESTIMATE algorithm and immune-related single-sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA) were employed to evaluate the level of immune infiltration. The sensitivity of chemotherapy drugs was assessed using the Genomics of Drug Sensitivity in Cancer (GDSC) database. Ultimately, the presence of the detected genes was confirmed through quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analysis in MM cell specimens. Results: 64 NETs-DEGs were yielded, and through univariate Cox regression and LASSO regression analysis, we constructed a risk score composed of six genes: CTSG, HSPE1, LDHA, MPO, PINK1, and VCAM1. MM patients in three independent datasets were classified into high- and low-risk groups according to the risk score. The overall survival (OS) of patients in the high-risk group was significantly reduced compared to the low-risk group. Furthermore, the risk score was an independent predictive factor for OS. In addition, interactions between the risk score, immune score, and immune cell infiltration were investigated. Further analysis indicated that patients in the high-risk group were more sensitive to a variety of chemotherapy and targeted drugs, including bortezomib. Moreover, the six genes provided insights into the progression of plasma cell disorders. Conclusion: This study offers novel insights into the roles of NETs in prognostic prediction, immune status, and drug sensitivity in MM, serving as a valuable supplement and enhancement to existing grading systems.

Unconventional reservoirs, such as shale and tight formations, have become increasingly vital contributors to oil and gas production. In these reservoirs, fractures serve as crucial spaces for fluid migration and storage, making their precise assessment essential. Array acoustic logging stands out as a pivotal method for evaluating fractures. To investigate the impact of fracture width, fracture-filling conditions, and acoustic frequency on compressional and shear waves, a three-dimensional variable mesh finite difference program was employed for acoustic logging numerical simulation. Firstly, numerical models representing fractured formations with varying fracture widths and distinct fluid-filling conditions were established, and array acoustic logging numerical simulations were conducted at different frequencies. Subsequently, the waveform data were processed to extract acoustic characteristic parameters, such as velocities and amplitude attenuations of compressional and shear waves. Finally, a quantitative analysis was conducted to examine the variation patterns of characteristic parameters of refracted compressional and shear waves in relation to fracture properties. The research results indicate that amplitude attenuation information derived from borehole wave modes is particularly sensitive to the changes in fracture properties. As fracture width increased, we observed a significant amplitude attenuation in both compressional and shear waves, proportional to the logarithm of the attenuation coefficients. Furthermore, when the fracture width was constant, gas-filled fractures exhibited more prominent amplitude attenuation than water-filled fractures, with shear wave attenuation being more sensitive to the filling material. Moreover, from a quantitative perspective, the analysis revealed that the attenuation coefficients of refracted compressional and shear waves exhibited an exponential variation with gas saturation. Notably, once fracture width and filling conditions were established, the amplitudes of compressional and shear waves at the dominant frequency of 40 kHz were significantly reduced compared to those at 8 kHz, accompanied by increased attenuation. Subsequent quantitative analysis revealed that, when the product of fracture width and dominant frequency remains constant, the corresponding attenuation coefficient ratios approach 1. This indicates that the attenuation process of acoustic propagation in fractured media follows the principle of acoustic similarity. The findings of this study provide reference for further research on fracture property evaluation methods based on array acoustic logging data.

Fish are vital in river ecosystems; however, traditional investigations of fish usually cause ecological damage. Extracting DNA from aquatic environments and identifying DNA sequences offer an alternative, noninvasive approach for detecting fish species. In this study, the effects of environmental DNA (eDNA), coupled with PCR and next-generation sequencing, and electrofishing for identifying fish community composition and diversity were compared. In three subtropical rivers of southern China, fish specimens and eDNA in water were collected along the longitudinal (upstream-downstream) gradient of the rivers. Both fish population parameters, including species abundance and biomass, and eDNA OTU richness grouped 38 sampling sites into eight spatial zones with significant differences in local fish community composition. Compared with order-/family-level grouping, genus-/species-level grouping could more accurately reveal the differences between upstream zones I-III, midstream zones IV-V, and downstream zones VI-VIII. From the headwaters to the estuary, two environmental gradients significantly influenced the longitudinal distribution of the fish species, including the first gradient composed of habitat and physical water parameters and the second gradient composed of chemical water parameters. The high regression coefficient of alpha diversity between eDNA and electrofishing methods as well as the accurate identification of dominant, alien, and biomarker species in each spatial zone indicated that eDNA could characterize fish community attributes at a level similar to that of traditional approaches. Overall, our results demonstrated that eDNA metabarcoding can be used as an effective tool for revealing fish composition and diversity, which is important for using the eDNA technique in aquatic field monitoring.

Microcystis, a type of cyanobacteria known for producing microcystins (MCs), is experiencing a global increase in blooms. They have been recently recognized as potential contributors to the widespread of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). By reviewing approximately 150 pieces of recent studies, a hypothesis has been formulated suggesting that significant fluctuations in MCs concentrations and microbial community structure during Microcystis blooms could influence the dynamics of waterborne ARGs. Among all MCs, microcystin-LR (MC-LR) is the most widely distributed worldwide, notably abundant in reservoirs during summer. MCs inhibit protein phosphatases or increase reactive oxygen species (ROS), inducing oxidative stresses, enhancing membrane permeability, and causing DNA damage. This further enhances selective pressures and horizontal gene transfer (HGT) chances of ARGs. The mechanisms by which Microcystis regulates ARG dissemination have been systematically organized for the first time, focusing on the secretion of MCs and the alterations of bacterial community structure. However, several knowledge gaps remain, particularly concerning how MCs interfere with the electron transport chain and how Microcystis facilitates HGT of ARGs. Concurrently, the predominance of Microcystis forming the algal microbial aggregates is considered a hotspot for preserving and transferring ARGs. Yet, Microcystis can deplete the nutrients from other taxa within these aggregates, thereby reducing the density of ARG-carrying bacteria. Therefore, further studies are needed to explore the 'symbiotic - competitive' relationships between Microcystis and ARG-hosting bacteria under varied nutrient conditions. Addressing these knowledge gaps is crucial to understand the impacts of the algal aggregates on dynamics of waterborne antibiotic resistome, and underscores the need for effective control of Microcystis to curb the spread of antibiotic resistance. Constructed wetlands and photocatalysis represent advantageous strategies for halting the spread of ARGs from the perspective of Microcystis blooms, as they can effectively control Microcystis and MCs while maintaining the stability of aquatic ecosystem.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the association between the concentration of maternal serum biomarkers and the risk of fetal carrying chromosome copy number variants (CNVs). METHODS: Pregnant women identified as high risk in the second-trimester serological triple screening and underwent traditional amniotic fluid karyotype analysis, along with comparative genomic hybridization array (aCGH)/copy number variation sequencing (CNV-seq), were included in the study. We divided the concentration of serum biomarkers, free beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (fß-hCG), alpha fetoprotein (AFP) and unconjugated estriol (uE3), into three levels: abnormally low, normal and abnormally high. The prevalence of abnormally low, normal and abnormally high serum fß-hCG, AFP and uE3 levels in pregnant women with aberrant aCGH/CNV-seq results and normal controls was calculated. RESULTS: Among the 2877 cases with high risk in the second-trimester serological triple screening, there were 98 chromosome abnormalities revealed by karyotype analysis, while 209 abnormalities were detected by aCGH/CNVseq (P<0.001) . The carrying rate of aberrant CNVs increased significantly when the maternal serum uE3 level was less than 0.4 multiple of median (MoM) of corresponding gestational weeks compared to normal controls, while the carrying rate of aberrant CNVs decreased significantly when the maternal serum fß-hCG level was greater than 2.5 MoM compared to normal controls. No significant difference was found in the AFP group. CONCLUSION: Low serum uE3 level (<0.4 MoM) was associated with an increased risk of aberrant CNVs.

Background: Gastrointestinal (GI) angiodysplasias is a potential cause of life-threatening bleeding. Thalidomide may have a certain effect on the treatment. Objectives: We aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of thalidomide and used trial sequential analysis (TSA) to assess the need for further randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Design: Meta-analysis of RCTs. Data sources and methods: We systematically searched Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Embase, WanFang, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases for RCTs evaluating thalidomide in GI angiodysplasias without language restrictions. We used a random-effects model to obtain pool data and followed Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation framework. TSA was employed to control the risk of random errors and to evaluate the validity of our conclusions. Results: Three RCTs were included involving 279 patients with the proportion of small intestinal angiodysplasias of 87.1%. Thalidomide led to improved mean change of hemoglobin level [mean difference (MD): 3.06, 95% confidence interval: 2.66-3.46] without severe adverse effects occurring. Other secondary endpoints, including effective response rate, cessation of bleeding after treatment, hospitalization rate because of bleeding, change in duration of hospital stays for bleeding, transfused red cell requirements, and overall adverse effects, also showed significantly better outcomes in the thalidomide group compared to the control group. TSA for all outcomes exceeded required information sizes, and cumulative Z curve all traverse trial sequential monitoring boundary. Conclusion: Almost all of the evidence was of moderate quality, suggesting that thalidomide holds promise for treating GI angiodysplasias, with favorable safety profiles. TSA suggests that conducting large-scale real-world research is recommended over relying solely on RCTs conducted within the same population and trial design. The widely existed plastic additives plasticizers in organic wastes possibly pose negative influences on anaerobic digestion (AD) performance, the direct evidence about the effects of plasticizers on AD performance is still lacking. This study evaluated the influencing mechanism of two typical plasticizers bisphenol A (BPA) and dioctyl phthalate on the whole AD process. Results indicated that plasticizers addition inhibited methane production, and the inhibiting effects were reinforced with the increase of concentration. By contrast, 50 mg/L BPA exhibited the strongest inhibition on methane production. Physicochemical analysis showed plasticizers inhibited the metabolism efficiency of soluble polysaccharide and volatile fatty acids. Microbial communities analyses suggested that plasticizers inhibited the direct interspecies electron transfer participators of methanogenic archaea (especially Methanosarcina) and syntrophic bacteria. Furthermore, plasticizers inhibited the methane metabolisms, key coenzymes (CoB, CoM, CoF420 and methanofuran) biosynthesis and the metabolisms of major organic matters. This study shed light on the effects of plasticizers on AD performance and provided new insights for assessing the influences of plasticizers or plastic additives on the disposal of organic wastes.
