RESUMO

In this study, the copper-nickel (Cu-Ni) bimetallic electrocatalysts for electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction(CO2RR) are fabricated by taking the finely designed poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) containing abundant Salen and imidazolium chelating sites as the surficial layer, wherein Cu-Ni, PIL-Cu and PIL-Ni interaction can be readily regulated by different synthetic scheme. As a proof of concept, Cu@Salen-PIL@Ni(NO3)2 and Cu@Salen-PIL(Ni) hybrids differ significantly in the types and distribution of Ni species and Cu species at the surface, thereby delivering distinct Cu-Ni cooperation fashion for the CO2RR. Remarkably, Cu@Salen-PIL@Ni(NO3)2 provides a C2+ faradaic efficiency (FEC2+) of 80.9% with partial current density (jC 2+) of 262.9 mA cm-2 at -0.80 V (versus reversible hydrogen electrode, RHE) in 1 m KOH in a flow cell, while Cu@Salen-PIL(Ni) delivers the optimal FEC2+ of 63.8% at jC2+ of 146.7 mA cm-2 at -0.78 V. Mechanistic studies indicates that the presence of Cu-Ni interfaces in Cu@Salen-PIL@Ni(NO3)2 accounts for the preserve of high-valence Cu(I) species under CO2RR conditions. It results in a high activity of both CO2-to-CO conversion and C-C coupling while inhibition of the competitive HER.

RESUMO

Chronic pain often develops severe mood changes such as depression. However, how chronic pain leads to depression remains elusive and the mechanisms determining individuals' responses to depression are largely unexplored. Here we found that depression-like behaviors could only be observed in 67.9% of mice with chronic neuropathic pain, leaving 32.1% of mice with depression resilience. We determined that the spike discharges of the ventral tegmental area (VTA)-projecting lateral habenula (LHb) glutamatergic (Glu) neurons were sequentially increased in sham, resilient and susceptible mice, which consequently inhibited VTA dopaminergic (DA) neurons through a LHbGlu-VTAGABA-VTADA circuit. Furthermore, the LHbGlu-VTADA excitatory inputs were dampened via GABAB receptors in a pre-synaptic manner. Regulation of LHb-VTA pathway largely affected the development of depressive symptoms caused by chronic pain. Our study thus identifies a pivotal role of the LHb-VTA pathway in coupling chronic pain with depression and highlights the activity-dependent contribution of LHbGlu-to-VTADA inhibition in depressive behavioral regulation.

RESUMO

Inflammatory pain is a commonly observed clinical symptom in a range of acute and chronic diseases. However, the mechanism of inflammatory pain is far from clear yet. Rab11a, a small molecule guanosine triphosphate enzyme, is reported to regulate orofacial inflammatory pain in our previous works. However, the mechanism of Rab11a's involvement in the regulation of inflammatory pain remains obscure. Here, we aim to elucidate the potential mechanisms through which Rab11a contributes to the development of inflammatory pain in the spinal level. It's shown that neurons, rather than glial cells, were the primary cell type expressing Rab11a in the spinal dorsal horn (SDH). After intra-plantar injection of CFA, both the number of Fos/Rab11a-immunopositive neurons and the expression of Rab11a were increased. Administration of Rab11a-shRNA into the SDH resulted in significantly analgesic effect in mice with CFA injection. Application of Rab11a-shRNA also reduced the NMDA receptor-mediated excitatory post-synaptic current (EPSC) and the spike number of neurons in lamina II of the SDH in mice with CFA injection, without affecting the presynaptic glutamate release and the postsynaptic AMPA receptor-mediated EPSC. Our results thus suggest that the enhanced expression of neuronal Rab11a may be important for the process of inflammatory pain in mice with CFA injection, which is likely mediated by Rab11a's potentiation of the competence of post-synaptic NMDAR and spiking of SDH neurons.

RESUMO

The electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO with high efficiency is one of the most promising approaches for CO2 conversion due to its considerable economic feasibility and broad application prospects. In this study, three Ag@COF-R (R = -H, -OCH3, -OH) hybrids were facilely fabricated by impregnating silver acetate (AgOAc) into respective covalent organic frameworks (COFs) prepared in advance. They differ significantly in the crystallinity, porosity, distribution, size, and electronic configuration of AgOAc species, which thereby influences both the activity and the selectivity of electrolytic CO2-to-CO transformation. Impressively, Ag@COF-OCH3 provided a high FECO of 93.0% with a high jCO of 213.9 mA cm-2 at -0.87 V (vs reversible hydrogen electrode, RHE) in 1 M KOH using a flow cell. In addition, it exhibited long-term durability at 100 mA cm-2 for 30 h.

RESUMO

Objective: To explore the influencing factors of pregnancy-induced hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (HDP) with organ or system impairment in pregnant women, and to analyze and compare the differences of HDP subtypes in different regions of China. Methods: A total of 27 680 pregnant women with HDP with complete data from 161 hospitals in 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities were retrospectively collected from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. According to their clinical manifestations, they were divided into hypertension group [a total of 10 308 cases, including 8 250 cases of gestational hypertension (GH), 2 058 cases of chronic hypertension during pregnancy] and hypertension with organ or system impairment group [17 372 cases, including 14 590 cases of pre-eclampsia (PE), 137 cases of eclampsia, 2 645 cases of chronic hypertension with PE]. The subtype distribution of HDP in East China (6 136 cases), North China (4 821 cases), Central China (3 502 cases), South China (8 371 cases), Northeast China (1 456 cases), Southwest China (2 158 cases) and Northwest China (1 236 cases) were analyzed. By comparing the differences of HDP subtypes and related risk factors in different regions, regional analysis of the risk factors of HDP pregnant women with organ or system impairment was conducted. Results: (1) The proportions of HDP pregnant women with organ or system impairment in Northeast China (79.05%, 1 151/1 456), Central China (68.42%, 2 396/3 502) and Northwest China (69.34%, 857/1 236) were higher than the national average (62.76%, 17 372/27 680); the proportions in North China (59.18%, 2 853/4 821), East China (60.85%, 3 734/6 136) and South China (59.56%, 4 986/8 371) were lower than the national average, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). (2) Univariate analysis showed that the proportions of primiparas, non-Han, non-urban household registration, irregular prenatal examination and PE history in the hypertension with organ or system impairment group were higher than those in the hypertension group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that primiparas, non-Han, non-urban household registration, irregular prenatal examination and PE history were independent risk factors for HDP pregnant women with organ or system impairment (all P<0.05). (3) Primipara: the rates of primipara in Northeast China, North China and Southwest China were higher than the national average level, while those in South China, Central China and Northwest China were lower than the national average level. Non-Han nationality: the rates of non-Han nationality in Northeast China, North China and Northwest China were higher than the national average, while those in East China, South China and Central China were lower than the national average. Non-urban household registration: the rates of non-urban household registration in Northeast China, North China, and Southwest China were lower than the national average, while those in East China, Central China were higher than the national average. Irregular prenatal examination: the rates of irregular prenatal examination in North China, South China and Southwest regions were lower than the national average level, while those in Northeast China, Central China and Northwest China were higher than the national average level. History of PE: the incidence rates of PE in Northeast China, North China, South China and Southwest China were lower than the national average level, while those in Central China and Northwest China were higher than the national average level. Conclusions: Primiparas, non-Han, non-urban household registration, irregular prenatal examination, and PE history are risk factors for HDP pregnant women with organ or system impairment. Patients in Northeast, Central and Northwest China have more risk factors, and are more likely to be accompanied by organ or system function damage. It is important to strengthen the management of pregnant women and reduce the occurrence of HDP.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the positive rate of postpartum depression/anxiety screening and its associated factors in Jinping area, Yunnan Province. Methods:This cross-sectional survey involved 761 women who delivered live, singleton infants at or after 28 gestational weeks from October 2019 to February 2021 in the People's Hospital of Jinping Miao, Yao, and Dai Autonomous County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. A questionnaire survey on childbirth and upbringing, the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (defined as positive when ≥9 score), and the Self-rating Anxiety Scale (defined as positive when ≥50 score) were conducted at postpartum day 1 to 3. General obstetric information and medical history were also retrieved from medical records. The risk factors of maternal depression and anxiety were analyzed using Chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression. Results:All 761 parturients completed the questionnaire. The total positive rate was 7.49% (57/761) for depression screening and 8.02% (61/761) for anxiety screening. Univariate analysis showed that postpartum hemorrhage, intrapartum infection and puerperal morbidity, neonates being transferred to the pediatric ward, attendance of prenatal classes during pregnancy, whether the neonatal gender was in line with the maternal and family expectations were all associated with both postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. In addition, an association was found between gravidity, parity, delivery mode and postpartum depression, as well as accompanied delivery, breastfeeding and postpartum anxiety (all P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that postpartum hemorrhage ( OR=1.934, 95% CI: 1.010-3.704), neonates being transferred to the pediatric ward ( OR=1.990, 95% CI: 1.037-3.816), and not attending prenatal classes during pregnancy ( OR=3.393, 95% CI: 1.166-9.872) were the risk factors for postpartum depression; neonates being transferred to the pediatric ward ( OR=1.972, 95% CI: 1.040-3.740) and non-breastfeeding ( OR=2.174, 95% CI: 1.077-4.389) were risk factors for postpartum anxiety (all P<0.05). Conclusions:Parturients in Jinping area of Yunnan Province were at a lower risk of postpartum depression/anxiety. Active attendance at prenatal classes and breastfeeding may help reduce the risk of postpartum depression/anxiety.

RESUMO

Electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 (CO2RR) to multi-electron (> 2e-) products provides a green and sustainable route for producing fuels and chemicals. Introducing the second metal element is a feasible strategy for "managing" the key intermediate on Cu-based materials to further improve the CO2RR catalytic performance. In this work, palladium, which promises the generation of CO, was introduced into the poly(ionic liquid)-based copper hybrid (Cu@PIL) to construct a novel Cu-Pd bimetallic electrocatalyst (Cu@PIL@Pd). Remarkably, with a small dosage of palladium (2.0 mol% compared with Cu), a high faradaic efficiency (FE) for C2+ products (68.7%) was achieved at -1.01 V (with respect to the reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE), the same below) with a high partial current density of 178.3 mA cm-2. Meanwhile, high selectivity towards CH4 (FE = 42.5%) and corresponding partial current density of 172.8 mA cm-2 were obtained on the same catalyst at -1.24 V, signifying a significant potential-dependent selectivity. Mechanistic studies reveal that both copper and palladium oxides are reduced to metallic states during the CO2RR. The presence of the adjoint copper phase and the highly dispersed electrostatic layer promote the generation of CO on the palladium components (both the PdO2 phase and the Pd(II) site). Besides, the local CO* was enriched by the significant diffusion resistance of CO in the PIL layer. The spillover of CO* from Pd sites to the adjoint Cu sites, accompanied by the increased local concentration of CO* around Cu sites, accounted for the observed good CO2RR catalytic performance, especially the high C2+ product selectivity.

RESUMO

CONTEXT: The association of maternal gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) with neurodevelopmental outcomes remains controversial and evidence that maternal increasing levels of glucose during pregnancy associated with the risk for impaired neurodevelopment were limited. OBJECTIVE: To identify the continuous association of increasing maternal glucose levels with neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring and explore the potential contribution of cord metabolites to this association. METHODS: The prospective birth cohort study included 1036 mother-child pairs. Primary predictors were maternal exposure GDM and maternal glucose values at a 75-g oral-glucose-tolerance test at 24 to 28 weeks during pregnancy. Primary neurodevelopmental outcomes at 12 months in offspring were assessed by the Ages and Stages Questionnaires, Third Edition (ASQ-3). RESULTS: Maternal GDM was associated with failing the communication domain in offspring in the adjusted models [relative risk (RR) with 95% CI: 1.97 (1.11, 3.52)]. Increasing levels of fasting plasma glucose (FPG), 1-h plasma glucose (1-h PG) and 2-h plasma glucose (2-h PG) with 1 SD change were at higher risks in failing the personal social domain of ASQ-3 [RRs with 95% CI for FPG: 1.49 (1.09, 2.04); for 1-h PG: 1.70 (1.27, 2.29); for 2-h PG: 1.36 (1.01, 1.84)]. The linear association was also demonstrated. Compared with girls, boys exposed to higher maternal glucose levels were inclined to the failure of the personal social domain. Mediation analysis showed the contribution of maternal GDM to failure of communication domain mediated by C-peptide. CONCLUSIONS: Maternal glucose levels below those diagnostic of diabetes are continuously associated with impaired neurodevelopment in offspring at 12 months.

RESUMO

Kcnq1 overlapping transcript 1 (kcnq1ot1), an imprinted antisense lncRNA in the kcnq1 locus, acts as a potential contributor to cardiovascular disease, but its role in atherosclerosis remains unknown. The aim of this study was to explore the effects of kcnq1ot1 on atherogenesis and the underlying mechanism. Our results showed that kcnq1ot1 expression was significantly increased in mouse aorta with atherosclerosis and lipid-loaded macrophages. Lentivirus-mediated kcnq1ot1 overexpression markedly increased atherosclerotic plaque area and decreased plasma HDL-C levels and RCT efficiency in apoE-/- mice fed a Western diet. Upregulation of kcnq1ot1 also reduced the expression of miR-452-3p and ABCA1 but increased HDAC3 levels in mouse aorta and THP-1 macrophages. Accordingly, kcnq1ot1 overexpression inhibited cholesterol efflux and promoted lipid accumulation in THP-1 macrophages. In contrast, kcnq1ot1 knockdown protected against atherosclerosis in apoE-/- mice and suppressed lipid accumulation in THP-1 macrophages. Mechanistically, kcnq1ot1 enhanced HDAC3 expression by competitively binding to miR-452-3p, thereby inhibiting ABCA1 expression and subsequent cholesterol efflux. Taken together, these findings suggest that kcnq1ot1 promotes macrophage lipid accumulation and accelerates the development of atherosclerosis through the miR-452-3p/HDAC3/ABCA1 pathway.

RESUMO

Objective:To find out the occurrence of anxiety and depressive symptoms, and the major risk factors, and the participation rate, as well as the experience of medical personnel who are involved in the intervention. Methods:Since January 2018, a pilot intervention had been carried out on pregnant women registered in the antenatal clinic. The Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale and the Patient Health Questionnaires were used as screening tools for anxiety and depression symptoms, and risk factors were screened too. Interventions were carried out on the psychological moderate and high risk women by obstetric medical staff and mental health personnel. A qualitative interview was conducted on the intervention providers. Results:A total of 9 488 pregnant women were included, and the positive rate of moderate anxiety symptoms was 3.0%, the positive rate of severe anxiety symptoms was 1.4%; the positive rate of moderate depression symptoms was 18.1%, and the positive rate of severe depressive symptoms was 5.2%; the comorbidity rate of anxiety and depression symptoms was 3.4%. The first three risk factors for pregnant women with anxiety symptoms were: once had premenstrual stress symptom, excessive fear of fetal growth, previous abnormal maternal history; the first three risk factors for pregnant women with depressive symptoms: once had premenstrual stress symptom, previous abnormal maternal history, this pregnancy was cherished; the first three risk factors for pregnant women with moderate and above anxiety combined with depression were: once had premenstrual stress symptom, excessive fear of fetal growth, and fear the delivery process is not successful. Among the psychological moderate risk pregnant women, 19.1% participated in the midwife joint counselor clinic, and 1.7% participated in the obstetrician joint psychological specialist nurse clinic, 2.2% of the pregnant women with high risk participated in the psychological multidisciplinary consultation, and 1.7% referred to the psychiatric department. From the interviews, providers believed that it was necessary to further strengthen the ability of psychological intervention capacity, and the psychological screening tools needed to be improved, and the problems sought by pregnant women involved in physical, psychological and social aspects, and the influence of pregnant women's treatment compliance included multiple factors. Conclusions:The psychological health care service during pregnancy was feasible, but the screening scales needed further examination. The mental health care ability of obstetric medical staff needed to be strengthened, and the compliance of pregnant women with mental health services needed to be improved.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the biologic viability and boundary range of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis (HAE) by the contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) and acoustic radiation force impulse elastography (ARFI). Methods Totally 27 HAE patients confirmed by pathology underwent CEUS and ARFI examinations. Results Gray scale sonography of HAE showed unclear boundary, inhomogeneous, and middle hyperechoic nodules, and the maximum area was (6.08 ± 4.47) cm2 in 27 lesions. CEUS of HAE showed non-enhancement in three phases and black hole sign. Circumferential enhancement on the pe riphery of the lesion was synchronized with the liver parenchyma and showed “fast in and slow out”. The maximum area was (8.87 ± 4.83) cm2. The area of ECUS was larger than gray scale sonography in HAE (t = 2.20, P = 0.03). The mean shear wave velocities (SWVs) of the interior, the boundary range, and the surrounding liver tissues of HAE were statistically different by ARFI (F = 84.538, P < 0.001), and the interior had the highest values. Conclusions CEUS and ARFI examinations can detect the biologic viability and boundary range of migrating zone around HAE, which is valuable for guiding treatment, judging curative effect, and predicting prognosis.

RESUMO

Objective Dangerous placenta previa(PPP) combined with placenta implantation seriously threatens maternal life safety. This paper aim to explore the changes of MnSOD and SIRT3,the expression of SIRT3 in maternal placenta PPP combined with placenta implantation, and the relationship between trophoblast invasion and placental implantation. Methods 90 cases with placenta implantation of pernicious placenta previa were collected from January 2014 to June 2018 in Anhui Maternal and Child Health Hospital. According to the depth of placental villus invading uterine myometrium, 30 cases of placenta adhesion, 30 cases of placental implantation, and 30 cases of placenta penetration, 30 cases of normal control group.Immunohistochemical SP and Western blot were used to detect the expression of MnSOD and SIRT3 in placental tissues of the study group and the control group, then compared and analyzed. Results Compared with the control group, the expression of MnSOD and SIRT3 in the placental implantation group were increased. With the increasing of placental implantation degree, the level of MnSOD and SIRT3 decreased significantly (P<0.05). Western blot showed that , the relative protein expressions of MnSOD/β-actin and SIRT3/β-actin in the control group were (0.39±0.05) and (0.41±0.08), which were higher than those in the adhesion group[(0.35±0.04), (0.32±0.02)], the implantion group[(0.28±0.02), (0.20±0.03)], and the penetration group[(0.23±0.01), (0.17±0.02)]. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The expressions of MnSOD and SIRT3 incytoplasm or nucleus of invasive trophoblasts and placental tissues of pregnant women with placental implantation is significantly decreased, both of which are involved in the occurrence and development of placental implantation, but the specific pathogenesis still needs to be further explored.

RESUMO

Pain is the most pronounced complaint of women with endometriosis, however the underlying mechanism is still poorly understood. In the present study, the authors evaluate the effect of transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) of dorsal root ganglia (DRG) on endometriosis-associated pain. A total of 36 SD rats were randomly divided into a sham group (n=9) and a Model group (n=27), accepted autotransplanted pieces of fat or uterus to the pelvic cavity. At 4 weeks, the Model group was randomly subdivided into the following groups: ENDO group (no treatment, n=9), BCTC group (Model + BCTC, an antagonist of TRPV1, n=9), Vehicle group (Model + cyclodextrin, the vehicle of BCTC, n=9). Tailflick test was performed prior to surgery, 1 h prior to and following treatment of BCTC or cyclodextrin. The expression of TRPV1, substance P (SP), calcitonin generelated peptide (CGRP) in L1L6 DRG was measured via immunohistochemistry, western blotting and RTqPCR. The results indicated that the Model group exhibited a significant decrease in tail flick latency compared to presurgical baseline, and the expression of TRPV1, SP, CGRP protein and mRNA in L1L6 DRG significantly increased compared to the sham group. BCTC significantly improved tail flick latency, and downregulated the expression of TRPV1, SP and CGRP protein and mRNA levels in L1L6 DRG compared to ENDO group. However, there were no significant differences of those in Vehicle group compared with the ENDO group. Taken together, the current study provides evidence that TRPV1 expressed in DRG may serve an important role in endometriosis-associated pain.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and antimicrobial resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii(A.baumannii) in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).Methods The clinical isolation and antimicrobial resistance of A.baumannii causing healthcare-associated infection(HAD in 4 NICUs of a hospital from October 2012 to October 2014 were analyzed statistically. Results A total of 11 640 neonates were admitted in 4 NICUs,500(4.3 %) developed HAI,51 (10.2 %) developed 52 cases of A.baumannii infection.Distribution of A.baumannii infection was as follows:NICU of extremely premature infants, premature infants,full-term infants, and surgical NICU were 42,1,4,and 5 cases respectively.Incidences of A.baumannii HAI in 4 seasons were compared, difference was statistically significant(x2 =16.05,P<0.05),infection mainly occurred in the spring and summer.A.baumannii had high resistance rates to β-1actam antibiotics (such as piperacillin/sulbactam,cefepime,imipenem)and gentamycin(>90 %),resistance rate to amikacin was the lowest (51.9 %).Among 52 strains of A.baumannii,46 were multidrug-resistant strains, and 3 were extensively drug-resistant strains. Conclusion A.baumannii HAI is most serious in NICU of extremely premature infants, resistance rates to commonly used antimicrobial agents are high.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The arrival of precision medicine plan brings new opportunities and challenges for patients undergoing precision diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors. With the development of medical imaging, information on different modality imaging can be integrated and comprehensively analyzed by imaging fusion system. This review aimed to update the application of multimodality imaging fusion technology in the precise diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors under the precision medicine plan. We introduced several multimodality imaging fusion technologies and their application to the diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors in clinical practice. DATE SOURCES: The data cited in this review were obtained mainly from the PubMed database from 1996 to 2016, using the keywords of "precision medicine", "fusion imaging", "multimodality", and "tumor diagnosis and treatment". STUDY SELECTION: Original articles, clinical practice, reviews, and other relevant literatures published in English were reviewed. Papers focusing on precision medicine, fusion imaging, multimodality, and tumor diagnosis and treatment were selected. Duplicated papers were excluded. RESULTS: Multimodality imaging fusion technology plays an important role in tumor diagnosis and treatment under the precision medicine plan, such as accurate location, qualitative diagnosis, tumor staging, treatment plan design, and real-time intraoperative monitoring. Multimodality imaging fusion systems could provide more imaging information of tumors from different dimensions and angles, thereby offing strong technical support for the implementation of precision oncology. CONCLUSION: Under the precision medicine plan, personalized treatment of tumors is a distinct possibility. We believe that multimodality imaging fusion technology will find an increasingly wide application in clinical practice.

RESUMO

A bottom-up synthetic strategy is developed to fabricate a highly porous wave-superposed perchlorate-doped polypyrrole nanocoating on nickel nanotube arrays. The delicate nanostructure and the unique surface chemistry synergistically endow the obtained electrode with revealable pseudocapacitance, large operating potential window, and excellent cycling stability, which are highly promising for both asymmetric and symmetric supercapacitors.
