RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the pretreatment of goggles with iodophor solution and antibacterial hand sanitizer to reduce the fogging of goggles. METHODS: A total of 90 health care workers were divided into a control group (n = 30), an iodophor solution group (n = 30), and an antibacterial hand sanitizer group (n = 30). This study evaluated the degree of fogging of goggles and the light transmission, comfort, eye irritation, and the impact of goggles on the medical work of staff. RESULTS: The antibacterial hand sanitizer group had the lowest amount of goggle fogging and the most transparent view. Participants in the control group reported the worst light transmission and comfort level, followed by the iodophor solution group. In contrast, the goggles in the antibacterial hand sanitizer group had the best light transmission and comfort level. The iodophor solution group participants reported more eye irritation. Participants in the control group reported that the goggles severely impacted their medical work, with a less severe impact reported by the iodophor solution group. The antibacterial hand sanitizer group did not report any impact on their medical work. DISCUSSION: When the goggles were internally coated with antibacterial hand sanitizer solution (diluted 1:1 with distilled water), the antifog effect was significant. Moreover, the goggles treated with antibacterial hand sanitizer had a clearer field of vision, were reported as non-irritating to the eyes, and significantly improved the efficiency of COVID-19 health care workers, including emergency nurses and providers.

RESUMO

Objective To provide safety reference for the development of anti-cancer drugs by evaluating thetoxicological safety of the anticancer bioactive fraction AMH-T of lichen through the understanding of its poisonous nature and the intensity. Methods Acute toxicity test, bone marrow micronucleus test in mice, sperm malformation test in rats,Ames test and short-term repeat drug test in mice were conducted. Results Male mice were injected LD50 of 147 mg/kg and female mice 171 mg/kg.Conclusion Injection of AMH-T has acute toxicity and liver toxicity, but has no genetic toxicity.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effects of anticancer bioactive fraction AMH-T of lichen on blood routine, organ coefficient and organ morphology by canying out short-term repeated dose toxicity test in rat so as to provide evidence for the development of anticancer drugs. Methods The nude mice were randomly divided into 5 groups:DDP group,DMSO group, and three AMH-T groups with the dosage of 50mg/kg,100mg/kg,and 200 mg/kg respectively. The weights of the mice were recorded every four days.At the end of the experiment, automatic biochemical analyzer and blood cell analyzer were applied to detect the serum biochemical indicators and blood routine indexes. The mice were dissected to observe the pathological changes in main organs.Heart, liver, spleen, kidney and testicle were weighed for organ coefficient calculation. Results In short-term repeated dose toxicity test,AMH-T significantly increased blood ALT and AST levels (P<0.01) and significant change was found in other blood biochemical indexes and blood routine indexes.AMH-T had no obvious effect on weight, development of heart, liver, spleen, kidney and testicle. Conclusion When subcutaneous injection is performed,AMH-T shows hepatotoxicity, but it shows no toxicity on bone marrow hematopoietic function.

RESUMO

Objective To summarize the nursing of infants with cavernous transformation of the portal vein (CTPV) and gastrointestinal bleeding undergoing distal splenorenal shunt. Methods 3 cases of infants with CTPV and gastrointestinal bleeding were given with preoperative nursing for upper gastrointestinal bleeding, strengthening nutritional support; strengthening prevention measures of thrombosis and bleeding complications, monitoring of urine and urine gravity, completing the artery piezometer tube care, paying attention to the discharge guidance and follow-up work. Results The platelet increased in 3 cases post-operation.1 cases occurred abdominal bleeding, but improved after symptomatic treatment.1 case occurred leakage on the site of venous indwelling needle during intravenous infusion of high nutrient solution.3 cases of children received 3 months to 3 years follow-up after discharge,no complications such as liver, kidney and blood clots occurred. Conclusions Infants with CTPV and gastrointestinal bleeding undergoing distal splenorenal shunt is very rare in clinic.Good perioperative care and strengthening the observation of the postoperative complications, attaching great importance to the discharge guidance and follow-up work, are the assurances of successful treatment.

RESUMO

Objective Study the anti-tumor effects in vivo of AMH-D on S-180 cell lines, the synergistic effects of AMH-D and cyclophosphamide, and investigate the way and its strength of the effect. Provide the basis for the development of anti-cancer drug. Methods Kunming mice were transplanted with S-180 tumor cells subcutaneously in the right armpit. Intraperitoneal injection was done after randomization on the next day. Mice were killed on the eleventh day, and tumors were stripped and weighed. The tumor weight was used as indicator for analysis and evaluation. Results The results showed that AMH-D could effectively inhibit the growth of S180 cells transplanted tumor. The tumor inhibition rate was 50.45%at the dose of 150 mg/kg, with a dose-effect relationship. There were no obvious impacts on the growth of the weight of mice. The results showed that AMH-D had a synergistic effect combined with cyclophosphamide within a certain dose. Conclusion Fungus extract AMH-D has a great effect on anti-tumor in vivo of S180 cells transplanted tumor, and has a synergistic effect combined with cyclophosphamide within a certain dose.
