RESUMO

Related studies have pointed out that Killer immunoglobulin-like receptor 2DL4 (KIR2DL4) was associated with vascular remodeling in early pregnancy, and it might play an important role in immunity. In this study, recurrent implantation failure (RIF)-related GSE58144 dataset was extracted from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Firstly, the immune micro-environment analyses were conducted to analyze the pathogenesis of KIR2DL4 in RIF. Then, the gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was performed to investigate the function of KIR2DL4. Moreover, the TF-mRNA-miRNA and the co-expression networks were constructed to reveal the potential regulation of KIR2DL4. Furthermore, the genes that were associated with KIR2DL4 and differentially expressed in RIF were obtained and defined as key genes, and the functions of these genes were further explored. KIR2DL4 could be used for clinical diagnosis of RIF, and it was correlated with the changes in the immune micro-environment in RIF. From the perspective of function, KIR2DL4 was associated with complement and coagulation cascades, natural killer cell-mediated cytotoxicity, etc. Moreover, the TF-mRNA-miRNA regulatory network was constructed with KIR2DL4, 9 TFs, and 29 miRNAs. Furthermore, KIR2DL4, ACSM1, IL2RB, and PTPN11 were screened as key genes, which were associated with immune-related functions. This study deeply analyzed the function of KIR2DL4 and its role in RIF, and we found that STAT1 might up-regulate KIR2DL4 by INF-γ/JAK2/STAT1 signaling pathway. Besides, over-expressed KIR2DL4 in the mid-luteal endometrium might influence embryo implantation by affecting the embryo implantation microenvironment, which might help deepen the understanding of the molecular mechanism of RIF.

Biochar is widely accepted as a green and effective amendment for remediating heavy metals (HMs) contaminated soil, but its long-term efficiency and safety changes with biochar aging in fields. Currently, some reviews have qualitatively summarized biochar aging methods and mechanisms, aging-induced changes in biochar properties, and often ignored the potential eco-environmental risk during biochar aging process. Therefore, this review systematically summarizes the study methods of biochar aging, quantitatively compares the effects of different biochar aging process on its properties, and discusses the potential eco-environmental risk due to biochar aging in HMs contaminated soil. At present, various artificial aging methods (physical aging, chemical aging and biological aging) rather than natural field aging have been applied to study the changes of biochar's properties. Generally, biochar aging increases specific surface area (SSA), pore volume (PV), surface oxygen-containing functional group (OFGs) and O content, while decreases pH, ash, H, C and N content. Chemical aging method has a greater effect on the properties of biochar than other aging methods. In addition, biochar aging may lead to HMs remobilization and produce new types of pollutants, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), environmentally persistent free radicals (EPFRs) and colloidal/nano biochar particles, which consequently bring secondary eco-environmental risk. Finally, future research directions are suggested to establish a more accurate assessment method and model on biochar aging behavior and evaluate the environmental safety of aged biochar, in order to promote its wider application for remediating HMs contaminated soil.

The flower-infecting fungus Ustilaginoidea virens causes rice false smut, which is a severe emerging disease threatening rice (Oryza sativa) production worldwide. False smut not only reduces yield, but more importantly produces toxins on grains, posing a great threat to food safety. U. virens invades spikelets via the gap between the 2 bracts (lemma and palea) enclosing the floret and specifically infects the stamen and pistil. Molecular mechanisms for the U. virens-rice interaction are largely unknown. Here, we demonstrate that rice flowers predominantly employ chitin-triggered immunity against U. virens in the lemma and palea, rather than in the stamen and pistil. We identify a crucial U. virens virulence factor, named UvGH18.1, which carries glycoside hydrolase activity. Mechanistically, UvGH18.1 functions by binding to and hydrolyzing immune elicitor chitin and interacting with the chitin receptor CHITIN ELICITOR BINDING PROTEIN (OsCEBiP) and co-receptor CHITIN ELICITOR RECEPTOR KINASE1 (OsCERK1) to impair their chitin-induced dimerization, suppressing host immunity exerted at the lemma and palea for gaining access to the stamen and pistil. Conversely, pretreatment on spikelets with chitin induces a defense response in the lemma and palea, promoting resistance against U. virens. Collectively, our data uncover a mechanism for a U. virens virulence factor and the critical location of the host-pathogen interaction in flowers and provide a potential strategy to control rice false smut disease.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) act as a group of signaling molecules in rice functioning in regulation of development and stress responses. Respiratory burst oxidase homologues (Rbohs) are key enzymes in generation of ROS. However, the role of the nine Rboh family members was not fully understood in rice multiple disease resistance and yield traits. In this study, we constructed mutants of each Rboh genes and detected their requirement in rice multiple disease resistance and yield traits. Our results revealed that mutations of five Rboh genes (RbohA, RbohB, RbohE, RbohH, and RbohI) lead to compromised rice blast disease resistance in a disease nursery and lab conditions; mutations of five Rbohs (RbohA, RbohB, RbohC, RbohE, and RbohH) result in suppressed rice sheath blight resistance in a disease nursery and lab conditions; mutations of six Rbohs (RbohA, RbohB, RbohC, RbohE, RbohH and RbohI) lead to decreased rice leaf blight resistance in a paddy yard and ROS production induced by PAMPs and pathogen. Moreover, all Rboh genes participate in the regulation of rice yield traits, for all rboh mutants display one or more compromised yield traits, such as panicle number, grain number per panicle, seed setting rate, and grain weight, resulting in reduced yield per plant except rbohb and rbohf. Our results identified the Rboh family members involved in the regulation of rice resistance against multiple pathogens that caused the most serious diseases worldwide and provide theoretical supporting for breeding application of these Rbohs to coordinate rice disease resistance and yield traits.

Importance: The dizziness associated with cervical spondylosis is a controversial topic given that many experts believe that cervical spondylosis is a common cause of dizziness, whereas others do not believe it exists. Objective: To compare the risk of dizziness between patients with cervical spondylosis and matched controls (ie, patients with lumbar spondylosis after propensity score matching [PSM]). Design, Setting, and Participants: This cohort study used medical claims data from the National Health Insurance Research Database of Taiwan for patients 60 years or older with cervical or lumbar spondylosis newly diagnosed in any outpatient department between January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2015. Patients diagnosed with cervical spondylosis were included as the study cohort, and those diagnosed with lumbar spondylosis who were matched to the study cohort via PSM were selected as the control cohort. Both cohorts were followed up for 1 year unless they were diagnosed with dizziness, censored by death, or withdrew from the health insurance program. Data analysis was performed from August 9 to September 20, 2022. Main Outcomes and Measures: The main outcome was the date of outpatient diagnosis of dizziness. The risks of dizziness were compared between groups. The relative risk and incidence rate difference were calculated. Results: A total of 3638 patients with cervical spondylosis (mean [SD] age, 67.9 [7.1] years; 2024 [55.6%] male) and 3638 patients with lumbar spondylosis (mean [SD] age, 68.0 [7.1] years; 2024 [55.6%] male) after PSM were selected as the study and control cohorts, respectively. The patients with cervical spondylosis had higher risk of dizziness than matched controls, with a 1-year relative risk of 1.20 (95% CI, 1.03-1.39). The 1-year incidence of dizziness was 10.2% (95% CI, 9.2%-11.2%) in patients with cervical spondylosis and 8.6% (95% CI, 7.7%-9.5%) in the matched group of lumbar spondylosis. The incidence rate difference between the groups was 1.6% (95% CI, 0.3%-3.0%). Conclusions and Relevance: These data support the association between dizziness and cervical spondylosis, but the small difference between groups reveals that dizziness associated with cervical spondylosis is uncommon. Clinicians should be wary of diagnosing a cervical cause for dizziness based on an actual history of cervical spondylosis.

PROBLEM: Whether the abnormal development of uterine natural killer (uNK) cells contributes to women with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) remains unclear. METHOD OF STUDY: We characterized the development of uNK cells and peripheral blood NK cells (pbNK) in the mid-luteal phase in women with RIF (n = 31) and controls (n = 14) by flow cytometry. Endometrial IL-15 mRNA expression was studied by quantitative reverse transcription-PCR. The GSE58144 dataset was used to validate the correlation results. RESULTS: We found decreased proportions of stage 4 CD56+CD16-CD94+ uNK cells (median: 9.56% vs. 17.78%, P .014) and increased proportions of stage 6 CD56+CD16+CD57+ uNK cells (median: 1.54% vs. 0.74%, P = .020) in the mid-luteal endometrium of women with RIF compared to fertile women. We also found that there was no quantitative correlation between uNK cells and the corresponding pbNK cell subpopulations (P > .05). In addition, IL-15 mRNA levels in the mid-luteal endometrium were positively correlated with the proportion of CD56+ uNK cells (r = .392, P = .008), especially with stage 4 uNK cell populations (r = .408, P = .005). CONCLUSIONS: We showed that the proportion of stage 4 uNK cells decreased in the RIF group compared to controls, and the decrease in stage 4 uNK cells correlated positively with low IL-15 mRNA expression. We suggest that the reduced stage 4 uNK cells in women with RIF are associated with IL-15 deficiency.

PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to introduce a new method to evaluate the clinical accuracy of implant position. The results were compared to traditional cone beam CT (CBCT) method. METHODS: A total of 36 implants from 24 patients with sufficient bone volume were enrolled into the study. CBCT method and digital registration method were compared to evaluate the accuracy of implant position. The measurement parameters were defined as deviations between ideal and postsurgical implant position at occlusal point(d1), apical point(d2) and axis(α). The deviations between two methods were analyzed with SPSS 19.0 software package. RESULTS: The deviations between ideal and postsurgical implant position using CBCT were (0.88±0.64) mm for occlusal point, (1.07±0.85) mm for apical point and (4.74±2.35)° for angle. In digital registration method, the deviations were (0.86±0.67) mm for occlusal point, (1.12±0.88) mm for apical point and (4.56±2.66)° for angle. No significant difference(P>0.05) was found between the two methods. CONCLUSIONS: There was no significant difference between the two methods in evaluating the clinical accuracy of implant position. Digital registration method could be accepted in clinical application.

The effects of antibiotic contamination on vegetable safety and the ecological risks of soil after returning livestock and poultry manure to the land require sufficient future attention. Tetracycline antibiotics (TCs) are often detected at high concentrations in livestock manure and vegetable production soils. Recently, pot experiments and field investigation methods have often been used to understand the effects of TCs contamination on the vegetable safety and ecological risks of soil, whereas field experiments are employed less frequently. This study investigated the distribution characteristics of TCs in the soil-vegetable system following manure application using a combination of pot and field experiments. The human health risks of the edible parts of Chinese flowing cabbage were assessed using the health risk quotient method based on the acceptable daily intake (ADI-HQ), and the ecological risks of TCs-contaminated soils were evaluated using the risk quotient method associated with the species sensitivity distribution model (SSD-RQ). The results showed that oxytetracycline (OTC) was the major type of TCs in Chinese flowering cabbage based on both the pot and field experiments. The maximum contents (dry weight) of OTC in the aboveground parts of the Chinese flowering cabbage for the pot and field experiments were 29.25 µg·kg-1 and 45.03 µg·kg-1, respectively, whereas those of their underground parts were 87.32 µg·kg-1 and 135.44 µg·kg-1, respectively. Meanwhile, higher contents of TCs were detected in Chinese flowering cabbage collected from the field experiment than those from the pot experiment. OTC was also the major type of TCs in soil from both the pot and field experiments, with their contents up to 604.30 µg·kg-1 and 1013.68 µg·kg-1, respectively. Higher residual contents of three TCs were detected in soils collected from the field experiment than those from the pot experiment. Under the experimental conditions, with the except that OTC in Chinese flowering cabbage from the field experiment would pose medium health risks (HQ>0.1) to children, the contents of three TCs in other treated Chinese flowering cabbage would pose low health risks (HQ ≤ 0.1) to adults and children. In the pot experiments, three TCs present in Chinese flowering cabbage would pose low health risks (HQ ≤ 0.1) to adults and children. Additionally, the TCs in soils with manure application from the pot and field experiments may have posed both moderate or high levels of ecological risks (HQ>0.1 or HQ>1). Therefore, the effects of antibiotic contamination on vegetable safety and their potential ecological risks on soil following manure fertilization need to be given special attention.

MIL-101(Cr)@TiO2 core-shell composite material was synthesized via the hydrothermal method, where MIL-101(Cr) served as the core and TiO2 acted as the shell. SEM results revealed that the metal-organic framework core effectively prevented the aggregation of TiO2 nanoparticles and facilitated their dispersion. Characterization techniques such as XRD, XPS, and TGA were utilized to confirm the successful loading of TiO2 onto MIL-101(Cr) and its excellent thermal stability. MIL-101(Cr)@TiO2 was employed in photocatalytic degradation of dye pollutants and vehicle exhaust, and the potential degradation mechanisms were investigated in detail. The results showed that MIL-101(Cr)@TiO2 exhibited excellent photocatalytic degradation performance towards dye pollutants, with degradation efficiencies of 91.7% and 67.8% achieved for MB and RhB, respectively, under visible light irradiation for 90 min. Furthermore, the photocatalytic degradation of automobile exhaust revealed that the MIL-101(Cr)@TiO2 composite material also exhibited degradation effects on NOx, CO, and HC. The degradation efficiency for NO reached 24.2%, indicating its broader applicability.

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to develop a model that combines clinically relevant features with radiomics signature based on magnetic-resonance imaging (MRI) for diagnosis of chronic cholangitis in pancreaticobiliary maljunction (PBM) children. METHODS: A total of 144 subjects from two institutions confirmed PBM were included in this study. Clinical characteristics and MRI features were evaluated to build a clinical model. Radiomics features were extracted from the region of interest manually delineated on T2-weighted imaging. A radiomics signature was developed by the selected radiomics features using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator and then a radiomics score (Rad-score) was calculated. We constructed a combined model incorporating clinical factors and Rad-score by multivariate logistic regression analysis. The combined model was visualized as a radiomics nomogram to achieve model visualization and provide clinical utility. Receiver operating curve analysis and decision curve analysis (DCA) were used to evaluate the diagnostic performance. RESULTS: Jaundice, protein plug, and ascites were selected as key clinical variables. Eight radiomics features were combined to construct the radiomics signature. The combined model showed superior predictive performance compared with the clinical model alone (AUC in the training cohort: 0.891 vs. 0.767, the validation cohort: 0.858 vs. 0.731), and the difference was significant (p = 0.002, 0.028) in the both cohorts. DCA confirmed the clinical utility of the radiomics nomogram. CONCLUSION: The proposed model that combines key clinical variables and radiomics signature is helpful in the diagnosis of chronic cholangitis in PBM children.

Legumes establish symbioses with rhizobia by forming nitrogen-fixing nodules. Nitrate is a major environmental factor that affects symbiotic functioning. However, the molecular mechanism of nitrate-induced nodule senescence is poorly understood. Comparative transcriptomic analysis reveals an NAC-type transcription factor in Lotus japonicus, LjNAC094, that acts as a positive regulator in nitrate-induced nodule senescence. Stable overexpression and mutant lines of NAC094 were constructed and used for phenotypic characterization. DNA-affinity purification sequencing was performed to identify NAC094 targeting genes and results were confirmed by electrophoretic mobility shift and transactivation assays. Overexpression of NAC094 induces premature nodule senescence. Knocking out NAC094 partially relieves nitrate-induced degradation of leghemoglobins and abolishes nodule expression of senescence-associated genes (SAGs) that contain a conserved binding motif for NAC094. Nitrate-triggered metabolic changes in wild-type nodules are largely affected in nac094 mutant nodules. Induction of NAC094 and its targeting SAGs was almost blocked in the nitrate-insensitive nlp1, nlp4, and nlp1 nlp4 mutants. We conclude that NAC094 functions downstream of NLP1 and NLP4 by regulating nitrate-induced expression of SAGs. Our study fills in a key gap between nitrate and the execution of nodule senescence, and provides a potential strategy to improve nitrogen fixation and stress tolerance of legumes.

In this study, we used a simple and cost-effective method to fabricate triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) based on biowaste eggshell membranes (EMs). We prepared stretchable electrodes with various types of EMs (hen, duck, goose, and ostrich) and employed them as positive friction materials for bio-TENGs. A comparison of the electrical properties of the hen, duck, goose, and ostrich EMs revealed that the output voltage of the ostrich EM could reach up to 300 V, due to its abundant functional groups, natural fiber structure, high surface roughness, high surface charge, and high dielectric constant. The output power of the resulting device reached 0.18 mW, sufficient to power 250 red light-emitting diodes simultaneously, as well as a digital watch. This device also displayed good durability when subjected to 9000 cycles at 30 N at a frequency of 3 Hz. Furthermore, we designed an ostrich EM-TENG as a smart sensor for the detection of body motion, including leg movement and the pressing of different numbers of fingers.

Because triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) convert mechanical energy into electricity, they are sustainable energy sources for powering a diverse range of intelligent sensing and monitoring devices. To enhance the electrical output of polymer-based TENGs, nanofillers are commonly incorporated into polymers. In this study, we developed a simple low-temperature process for preparing high-performance ceramic powder-based TENGs comprising electrospun fibrous surfaces based on poly(vinylidene difluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) and dispersed Eu2O3-doped BaTiO3 nanofillers. Herein, we discuss the effect of the modified dielectric properties and transferred charge of the electrification film on the performance of the TENGs. After incorporating the Eu2O3-doped BaTiO3 nanofiller, the maximum output voltage of the 10 wt% Eu2O3-BaTiO3/PVDF-HFP electrospun-nanofiber TENG reached as high as 1004 V with a corresponding current density of 9.9 µA cm-2. The enhancement in the triboelectric properties of the Eu2O3-BaTiO3/PVDF-HFP electrospun-nanofiber TENGs was due to their high amounts of interface polarization and transferred charge, suggesting improved capture and storage of triboelectric electrons. These Eu2O3-BaTiO3/PVDF-HFP electrospun-nanofiber TENGs could harvest mechanical energy and power electronic devices; they were robust and not affected by the operating temperature or humidity. Furthermore, we used a fabricated device as a sensor for application as a light-emitting diode dimmer switch and for the tracking of leg movement.

PURPOSE: To develop a model to identify risk factors and predictors of acute pancreatitis in children with pancreaticobiliary maljunction (PBM). METHODS: We screened consecutive PBM patients treated at two centers between January, 2015 and July, 2021. For machine learning, the cohort was divided randomly at a 6:4 ratio to a training dataset and a validation dataset. Three parallel models were developed using logistic regression (LR), a support vector machine (SVM), and extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), respectively. Model performance was judged primarily based on the area under the receiver operating curves (AUC). RESULTS: A total of 99 patients were included in the analysis, 17 of whom suffered acute pancreatitis and 82 did not. The XGBoost (AUC = 0.814) and SVM (AUC = 0.813) models produced similar performance in the validation dataset; both outperformed the LR model (AUC = 0.805). Based on the SHapley Additive exPlanation values, the most important variable in both the XGBoost and SVM models were age, protein plugs, and white blood cell count. CONCLUSIONS: Machine learning models, especially XGBoost and SVM, could be used to predict acute pancreatitis in children with PBM. The most important contributing factor to the models were age, protein plugs, and white blood cell count.

OBJECTIVES@#To study the clinical features of children with autoimmune encephalitis (AE) secondary to epidemic encephalitis B (EEB).@*METHODS@#A retrospective analysis was performed on the medical data of five children with EEB with "bipolar course" who were treated in Children's Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University from January 2020 to June 2022.@*RESULTS@#Among the five children, there were three boys and two girls, with a median age of onset of 7 years (range 3 years 9 months to 12 years) and a median time of 32 (range 25-37) days from the onset of EEB to the appearance of AE symptoms. The main symptoms in the AE stage included dyskinesia (5/5), low-grade fever (4/5), mental and behavioral disorders (4/5), convulsion (2/5), severe disturbance of consciousness (2/5), and limb weakness (1/5). Compared with the results of cranial MRI in the acute phase of EEB, the lesions were enlarged in 3 children and unchanged in 2 children showed on cranial MRI in the AE stage. In the AE stage, four children were positive for anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antibody (one was also positive for anti-γ-aminobutyric acid type B receptor antibody), and one was negative for all AE antibodies. All five children in the AE stage responded to immunotherapy and were followed up for 3 months, among whom one almost recovered and four still had neurological dysfunction.@*CONCLUSIONS@#EEB can induce AE, with anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis as the most common disease. The symptoms in the AE stage are similar to those of classical anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis. Immunotherapy is effective for children with AE secondary to EEB, and the prognosis might be related to neurological dysfunction in the acute phase of EEB.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the accuracy of static guided implant placement with intraoral scanning technology and to analyze the influencing factors of guided surgery. METHODS: Totally 27 cases were included in this retrospective study. The implant designs were made in 3Shape Implant Studio and then guided implant surgeries were performed with CAD-CAM templates. Postoperative implant positions were detected with an intraoral scanner (3Shape TRIOS) and deviation of implantation was evaluated using established CAD/CAM based evaluation method. SAS 9.4 software package was used for data analysis. RESULTS: The mean deviation of entrance point and apical point was (1.182±0.609) mm and (1.658±0.741) mm, respectively. Angular deviation was (5.712±3.347)°. Implant quadrant, location of the implant site, guidance degree, supporting type and implant size influenced direction deviation, while angular deviation was mainly affected by guidance degree and number of missing teeth. CONCLUSIONS: Accuracy of static guided implant placement can be influenced by many factors. More research is needed to improve the accuracy of static guided implantation.

Grain formation is fundamental for crop yield but is vulnerable to abiotic and biotic stresses. Rice grain production is threatened by the false smut fungus Ustilaginoidea virens, which specifically infects rice floral organs, disrupting fertilization and seed formation. However, little is known about the molecular mechanisms of the U. virens-rice interaction and the genetic basis of floral resistance. Here, we report that U. virens secretes a cytoplasmic effector, UvCBP1, to facilitate infection of rice flowers. Mechanistically, UvCBP1 interacts with the rice scaffold protein OsRACK1A and competes its interaction with the reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase OsRBOHB, leading to inhibition of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Although the analysis of natural variation revealed no OsRACK1A variants that could avoid being targeted by UvCBP1, expression levels of OsRACK1A are correlated with field resistance against U. virens in rice germplasm. Overproduction of OsRACK1A restores the OsRACK1A-OsRBOHB association and promotes OsRBOHB phosphorylation to enhance ROS production, conferring rice floral resistance to U. virens without yield penalty. Taken together, our findings reveal a new pathogenic mechanism mediated by an essential effector from a flower-specific pathogen and provide a valuable genetic resource for balancing disease resistance and crop yield.

This paper describes a simple electrospinning approach for fabricating poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT)/poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) semiconductive nanofiber mat triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs). Measurements of the electrical properties of the P3HT/PVDF-HFP semiconductive nanofiber TENGs revealed that the output voltage could be enhanced up to 78 V with an output current of 7 µA. The output power of the device reached 0.55 mW, sufficient to power 500 red light-emitting diodes instantaneously, as well as a digital watch. The P3HT/PVDF-HFP semiconductive nanofiber TENG could be used not only as a self-powered device but also as a sensor for monitoring human action. Furthermore, it displayed good durability when subjected to 20,000 cycles of an external force test.

BACKGROUND: Intradural anesthesia caused by anesthetic drug leakage during percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) has rarely been reported. We here report a 71-year-old woman who suffered this rare and life-threatening complication during PVP. CASE SUMMARY: A 71-year-old woman, who suffered from 2 wk of severe back pain with a visual analog score of 8, came to our outpatient clinic. She was later diagnosed with a newly compressed L1 fracture and was then admitted in our department. PVP was initially attempted again under local anesthesia. However, serendipitous intradural anesthesia leading to total spinal anesthesia happened. Fortunately, after successful resuscitation of the patient, PVP was safely and smoothly performed. Great pain relief was achieved postoperatively, and she was safely discharged on postoperative day 4. The patient recovered normally at 3-mo follow-up. CONCLUSION: Total spinal anesthesia secondary to PVP by anesthetic drug leakage rarely occurs. In cases of inadvertent wrong puncture leading to drug leakage when performing it under local anesthesia, surgeons should be highly vigilant during the whole procedure. Electrocardiogram monitoring, oxygen inhalation, intravenous cannula set prior to surgery, regular checking of motor activity and a meticulous imaging monitoring with slower pushing of anesthetic drugs, etc. should be highly recommended.
