RESUMO

P2-type layered oxides are widely regarded as highly promising contenders for cathode materials in sodium-ion batteries. However, the occurrence of severe reactive phase transitions hinders satisfactory cycling stability and rate performance, thereby imposing limitations on their practical application. Here we prepared P2-type Na0.75Ni0.23Mg0.1Mn0.67O2 cathode materials using the agar gel approach. The use of agar reduces the synthesis time significantly, and the high Na content enhances the stability of the structure and contributes to its capacity. Meanwhile, the introduction of electrochemically inactive Mg ions into sodium layers not only disrupts the Na+/vacancy ordering, but also increases the spacing between sodium layers, thus reducing the diffusion barrier for sodium ions. The dual modification strategy led to excellent stability of Na0.75Ni0.23Mg0.1Mn0.67O2 with 94% capacity retention after 100 cycles at 1C. This work provides new insights into the design of sodium-ion cathode materials.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Recently, the effect of artificial light at night (ALAN) on the physiology and behavior of insects has gradually attracted the attention of researchers and has become a new research topic. Aedes albopictus is an important vector that poses a great public health risk. Further studies on the diapause of Ae. albopictus can provide a basis for new vector control, and it is also worth exploring whether the effect of ALAN on the diapause of Ae. albopictus will provide a reference for the prevention and control of infectious diseases mediated by Ae. albopictus. METHODS: In this study, we experimentally studied the diapause characteristics of different geographical strains of Ae. albopictus under the interference of ALAN, explored the effect of ALAN on the diapause of Ae. albopictus and explored the molecular mechanism of ALAN on the diapause process through RNA-seq. RESULTS: As seen from the diapause incidence, Ae. albopictus of the same geographic strain showed a lower diapause incidence when exposed to ALAN. The differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were mainly enriched in signaling and metabolism-related pathways in the parental females and diapause eggs of the ALAN group. CONCLUSIONS: ALAN inhibits Ae. albopictus diapause. In the short photoperiod induced diapause of Ae. albopictus in temperate strain Beijing and subtropical strain Guangzhou, the disturbance of ALAN reduced the egg diapause rate and increased the egg hatching rate of Ae. albopictus, and the disturbance of ALAN also shortened the life cycle of Ae. albopictus eggs after hatching.

RESUMO

Understanding the paleoenvironment and phytogeographical history of the Tibetan Plateau, China relies on discovering new plant fossils. The Qaidam Basin has long been regarded as an ideal 'field laboratory' to investigate the paleoclimate and paleobiological evolution of the northern Tibetan Plateau. However, fossil angiosperms from the Qaidam Basin are rare, and our knowledge of its paleovegetation is poor. Here, we report fossil leaves and fruits of Betulaceae found from the Oligocene Shangganchaigou Formation of northwestern Qaidam Basin (Huatugou area). Comparative morphological analysis led us to assign the fruits to the Betula subgenus Betula and the leaves to Carpinus grandis. These findings, together with other reported fossil plants from the same locality, reveal a close floristic linkage between the Qaidam Basin and Europe during the Oligocene. The northern pathway of this floristic exchange may have crossed through the Qaidam Basin during the late Paleogene. This floristic linkage may have been facilitated by the continuous narrowing of the Turgai Strait and stronger westerlies, which transported moisture and provided favorable climatic conditions. Indeed, fossil plants collected from the Qaidam Basin suggest that during the Oligocene this region had warm and humid deciduous broad-leaf forest, which differs from the region's modern vegetation and indicates that the Qaidam Basin may have been a suitable region for these plants to flourish and spread during the Oligocene.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is a common orthopedic disease with a high disability rate. The clinical effect of BuShenHuoXue decoction (BSHX) for ONFH is satisfactory. We aimed to elucidate the potential angiogenic mechanisms of BSHX in a rat femoral osteonecrosis model and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). METHODS: With in vivo experiments, we established the steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SONFH) model using Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats (8-week-old). The rats were randomly divided into five group of 12 rats each and given the corresponding interventions: control, model (gavaged with 0.9% saline), BSHX low-, medium- and high-dose groups (0.132 3, 0.264 6, and 0.529 2 g/mL BSHX solution by gavage). After 12 weeks, haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining was preformed to evaluate rat osteonecrosis. the expression of angiogenic factors (CD31, VEGFA, KDR, VWF) in rat femoral head was detected by immunohistochemistry, qPCR and western blotting. In cell experiment, BMSCs were isolated and cultured in the femoral bone marrow cavity of 4-week-old SD rats. BMSCs were randomly divided into eight groups and intervened with different doses of BSHX-containing serum and glucocorticoids: control group (CG); BSHX low-, medium-, and high-dose groups (CG + 0.661 5, 1.323, and 2.646 g/kg BSHX gavage rat serum); dexamethasone (Dex) group; and Dex + BSHX low-, medium-, and high-dose groups (Dex + 0.661 5, 1.323, and 2.646 g/kg BSHX gavaged rat serum), the effects of BSHX-containing serum on the angiogenic capacity of BMSCs were examined by qPCR and Western blotting. A co-culture system of rat aortic endothelial cells (RAOECs) and BMSCs was then established. Migration and angiogenesis of RAOECs were observed using angiogenesis and transwell assay. Identification of potential targets of BSHX against ONFH was obtained using network pharmacology. RESULTS: BSHX upregulated the expression of CD31, VEGFA, KDR, and VWF in rat femoral head samples and BMSCs (p < 0.05, vs. control group or model group). Different concentrations of BSHX-containing serum significantly ameliorated the inhibition of CD31, VEGFA, KDR and VWF expression by high concentrations of Dex. BSHX-containing serum-induced BMSCs promoted the migration and angiogenesis of RAOECs, reversed to some extent the adverse effect of Dex on microangiogenesis in RAOECs, and increased the number of microangiogenic vessels. Furthermore, we identified VEGFA, COL1A1, COL3A1, and SPP1 as important targets of BSHX against ONFH. CONCLUSION: BSHX upregulated the expression of angiogenic factors in the femoral head tissue of ONFH model rats and promoted the angiogenic capacity of rat RAOECs and BMSCs. This study provides an important basis for the use of BSHX for ONFH prevention and treatment.

RESUMO

Aedes albopictus (Skuse) (Diptera: Culicidae) is one of the 100 most invasive species in the world and represents a significant threat to public health. The distribution of Ae. albopictus has been expanding rapidly due to increased international trade, population movement, global warming and accelerated urbanization. Consequently, it is very important to know the potential distribution area of Ae. albopictus in advance for early warning and control of its spread and invasion. We randomly selected 282 distribution sites from 27 provincial-level administrative regions in China, and used the GARP and MaxEnt models to analyze and predict the current and future distribution areas of Ae. albopictus in China. The results showed that the current range of Ae. albopictus in China covers most provinces such as Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces, and the distribution of Ae. albopictus in border provinces such as Tibet, Gansu and Jilin Provinces tend to expand westwards. In addition, the potential distribution area of Ae. albopictus in China will continue to expand westwards due to future climate change under the SSP126 climate scenario. Furthermore, the results of environmental factor filtering showed that temperature and precipitation had a large effect on the distribution probability of Ae. albopictus.

RESUMO

Although terahertz (THz) spectroscopy demonstrates great application prospects in the fields of fingerprint sensing and detection, traditional sensing schemes face unavoidable limitations in the analysis of trace-amount samples. In this Letter, a novel, to the best of our knowledge, absorption spectroscopy enhancement strategy based on a defect one-dimensional photonic crystal (1D-PC) structure is proposed to achieve strong wideband terahertz wave-matter interactions for trace-amount samples. Based on the Fabry-Pérot resonance effect, the local electric field in a thin-film sample can be boosted by changing the length of the photonic crystal defect cavity, so that the wideband signal of the sample fingerprint can be greatly enhanced. This method exhibits a great absorption enhancement factor, of about 55 times, in a wide terahertz frequency range, facilitating the identification of different samples, such as thin α-lactose films. The investigation reported in this Letter provides a new research idea for enhancing the wide terahertz absorption spectroscopy of trace samples.

RESUMO

Chronic fragmented sleep is a very common type of insomnia that affects the daily lives of numerous people around the world. However, its pathogenesis is not very clear and a corresponding rat model has not been reported for this purpose at present. The present study aimed to establish a rat model of chronic insomnia with sleep fragmentation using self-made multiple strings of unstable platforms surrounded by shallow water. During the establishment of the models, changes in body weight and differences in food and water intake in the daytime and at night were acquired. The rat models were assessed using several tests, including the Morris water maze test, pentobarbital sodium-induced sleep, infrared monitoring and electroencephalogram/electromyography during sleep. The expression levels of certain inflammatory factors and orexin A were detected in the serum and brain tissues using ELISAs, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. The expression levels of orexin 1 receptor (orexin 1r) were also detected in the brain. Polysomnography indicated that the model rats were successfully prepared with reduced non-rapid eye movement (non-REM) sleep in the daytime, which was increased at night, and considerably lower REM duration during the day and night. The number of instances of sleep arousals were also increased in the day and at night, and the average duration of each sleep bout was decreased in the daytime. The body weights of the model rats increased at a normal rate. However, the reduction of body weight in the daytime and increased in body weight at night were significantly less than those of the control rats. The daytime food and water consumption of the model rats increased significantly compared with that of the control rats, but was similar to that of the control group at night. The Morris water maze test indicated that the model rats were slow to learn to escape the platforms and performed a lower number of target crossings. The pentobarbital-induced sleep experiment confirmed that the model rats exhibited a longer sleep latency and shorter sleep time. The serum IL-1ß, IL-6, TNF-α and orexin A levels of the model rats were significantly increased, whereas their serum IL-10 levels were significantly decreased compared with those of the control rats. The expression levels of IL-1ß, IL-6, orexin A and orexin 1r in the brain tissues of the model rats were also significantly increased. In conclusion, these data indicate that learning and memory function, sleep time, arousal times, diurnal and nocturnal body weight changes, food and water intake, and expression levels of the specific inflammatory factors orexin A and orexin 1r were altered in the model rats. This suggests the chronic insomnia rat model with sleep fragmentation was successfully established using multiple strings of unstable platforms surrounded by water.

RESUMO

In this study, we used an in situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) heating system to investigate the sublimation-induced morphological changes of cubic Ag nanoparticles (NPs) and Ag-based core-shell structures and the influence of shell coverage on the thermal stability. In contrast to previous research performed with small Ag nanoparticles (<30 nm), here we found that large-particle Ag NPs (>50 nm) underwent a three-stage sublimation-induced morphological change at 800 °C, in the sequence uniform (I)-nonuniform (II)-uniform (III) sublimation. The (110) and (100) planes were the main sublimation planes during stages I and II. When the reaction reached stage III, the sublimation rate decreased as a result of an increase in the sublimation energy barrier. For core-shell NPs, the sublimation process began with stage II. For Ag NPs presenting TiO2 shells, the sublimation process was initiated at a relatively low temperature (700-750 °C) because of a local heating effect; for Ag NPs with carbon shells, the reaction was suppressed through surface atom passivation, thereby enhancing the thermal stability.

RESUMO

Background/purpose: In Taiwan, the formal education for cultivating medical radiation technologists began in 1965. However, there are very few dental radiology curricula in Taiwan's medical radiology schools. We investigated mainly the appearance of dental radiology education for medical radiology students in Taiwan. Materials and methods: We used documentary analysis, a survey of dental radiology education, and secondary data analysis in this study to find the appearance of Taiwan's dental radiology education for medical radiology students. Results: There were currently ten medical radiology schools. Among them, five offered independent curricula in their subject schedules and another five had dental radiology education included in their general medical radiology curricula. Of the 53 dental radiology teaching hospitals, 21 (39.62%) were medical centers and 25 (47.17%) were regional hospitals, and these large hospitals were concentrated in the northern region of Taiwan. These large dental radiology teaching hospitals offered more training hours of dental radiology internship for medical radiology students and had a higher availability for the medical radiology students. Conclusion: In Taiwan, the current status of dental radiology curricula in the medical radiology schools is indeed seriously insufficient. A dental radiology education system should be established in the future, including the innovative dental radiology curricula developed for medical radiology students and more dental radiology curricula designed for dental students. This in turn can create new career options for medical radiology students and new practice directions for medical radiation technologists, and then expand their potential involvement in dental radiology.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: This experiment was designed to demonstrate Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from kidney can alleviate cisplatin-induced kidney injury and renal cell apoptosis through paracrine pathway. METHODS: Firstly, MSCs were isolated from kidney of young rats, and their surface-specific markers were identified by Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and immunofluorescence staining. Self-renewal ability of Kidney Mesenchymal Stem Cells (KMSCs) was observed by cell counting and 5-Bromo-2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU) fluorescence staining. KMSCs at logarithmic growth stage were traced and injected into rat through tail vein. RESULTS: The results showed that KMSCs homed in the kidney tissues, decreased the secretion of inflammatory factors (CRP, TNFα, IL-1ß, IL-6), and alleviated renal function. Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E), Masson and Periodic Acid-silver Methenamine (PASM) staining showed that KMSCs could alleviate pathological damage in rats. Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase mediated dUTP Nick-End Labeling (TUNEL) assay showed that KMSCs could reduce the apoptosis of rat kidney cells induced by cisplatin. Finally, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) results showed that cisplatin could induce higher expression of the pro-apoptotic protein Bax and lower expression of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 in kidney tissues. However, KMSCs could reverse the pro-apoptotic effect of cisplatin on kidney cells and improve the survival rate of rats. CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, KMSCs were successfully isolated from kidney tissues, and KMSCs have therapeutic effects on rat kidney injury induced by cisplatin.

RESUMO

Due to the large scale of mining and smelting activities, considerable amounts of heavy metals are discharged into the environment and accumulate in the sediment of rivers and lakes. The combined pollution of heavy metals and the intrinsic phosphorus in sediment calls for novel remediation technologies. In this study, lanthanum-modified zeolite (LMZ) was employed as an inactivation agent for the immobilization of phosphorus, zinc, and lead in sediments. The adsorption capacities as well as the inactivation performance of LMZ for P, Zn, and Pb were investigated, and the adsorption mechanisms were explored via desorption experiments, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results indicated that the adsorption maximums of LMZ for P, Zn, and Pb were 53.76, 27.70, and 123.45 mg·g-1, respectively. Pre-adsorption of Zn and Pb had a negligible effect on the P adsorption by LMZ, whereas the adsorption of Zn and Pb were inhibited significantly by the pre-adsorption. P, Zn, and Pb in the sediment were transformed to more stable or less bioavailable forms by dosing 0.83% and 1.66% weight percentages of LMZ. It was found that P, Zn, and Pb were adsorbed through the formation of inner-sphere complexes. Further, desorption experiments and XRD patterns suggested that electrostatic attraction and surface precipitation also contributed to the adsorption of Zn and Pb, respectively.

RESUMO

Aedes albopictus is an indigenous primary vector of dengue and Zika viruses in China. Understanding the population spatial genetic structure, migration, and gene flow of vector species is critical to effectively preventing and controlling vector-borne diseases. The genetic variation and population structure of Ae. albopictus populations collected from 22 cities along the Yangtze River Basin were investigated with nine microsatellite loci and the mitochondrial CoxI gene. The polymorphic information content (PIC) values ranged from 0.534 to 0.871. The observed number of alleles (Na) values ranged from 5.455 to 11.455, and the effective number of alleles (Ne) values ranged from 3.106 to 4.041. The Shannon Index (I) ranged from 1.209 to 1.639. The observed heterozygosity (Ho) values ranged from 0.487 to 0.545. The FIS value ranged from 0.047 to 0.212. All Ae. albopictus populations were adequately allocated to three clades with significant genetic differences. Haplotype 2 is the most primitive molecular type and forms 26 other haplotypes after one or more site mutations. The rapid expansion of high-speed rail, aircraft routes and highways along the Yangtze River Basin have accelerated the dispersal and communication of mosquitoes, which appears to have contributed to inhibited population differentiation and promoted genetic diversity among Ae. albopictus populations.

RESUMO

To introduce image characteristics of double-chambered right ventricle on cardiac computed tomography and set a diagnostic criterion for the diagnosis. We retrospectively collected and measured the right ventricular constrictive ratio on computed tomography images in children who had simple ventricular septal defects in the past 10 years, because double-chambered right ventricle is often associated with ventricular septal defects. The right ventricular constrictive ratio was defined as the subinfundibular cross-sectional intraluminal area during end-systole divided by the area during end-diastole in the same patient. We compared the right ventricular constrictive ratio between subjects with concomitant double-chambered right ventricle and those without. 52 children were included, and 23 (44.2%) of them have concomitant double-chambered right ventricle. In most cases (n = 21; 91.3%), the hypertrophied muscular bundles occur just inferior to the level of the supraventricular crest in the right ventricle. Mean right ventricular constrictive ratio in patients with double-chambered right ventricle (15%) was significantly smaller than that without (29%). A cut-off value of a right ventricular constrictive ratio less than 20.1% was established to diagnose double-chambered right ventricle with an 89.7% sensitivity and 78. 3% specificity. Right ventricular constrictive ratio can be a valuable asset for the preoperative diagnosis of double-chambered right ventricle with cardiac computed tomography.

RESUMO

A multifunctional design based on vanadium dioxide (VO2) metamaterial structure is proposed. Broadband absorption, linear-to-linear (LTL) polarization conversion, linear-to-circular (LTC) polarization conversion, and total reflection can be achieved based on the insulator-to-metal transition (IMT) of VO2. When the VO2 is in the metallic state, the multifunctional structure can be used as a broadband absorber. The results show that the absorption rate exceeds 90% in the frequency band of 2.17 - 4.94 THz, and the bandwidth ratio is 77.8%. When VO2 is in the insulator state, for the incident terahertz waves with a polarization angle of 45°, the structure works as a polarization converter. In this case, LTC polarization conversion can be obtained in the frequency band of 0.1 - 3.5 THz, and LTL polarization conversion also can be obtained in the frequency band of 3.5 - 6 THz, especially in the 3.755 - 4.856 THz band that the polarization conversion rate is over 90%. For the incident terahertz waves with a polarization angle of 0°, the metamaterial structure can be used as a total reflector. Additionally, impacts of geometrical parameters, incidence angle and polarization angle on the operating characteristics have also been investigated. The designed switchable multifunctional metasurfaces are promising for a wide range of applications in advanced terahertz research and smart applications.

RESUMO

In this paper, a hybrid vanadium dioxide (VO2)-graphene-based bifunctional metamaterial is proposed. The realization of the different functions of perfect transmission and high absorption is based on the insulator-metal phase transition of VO2 material. The Fermi energy level of graphene can be treated to dynamically tune the absorption and transmission rates of the metamaterial structure. As a result, when VO2 is in the insulating state, the designed metamaterial can be used as a filter providing three adjustable passbands with center frequencies of 1.892 THz, 1.124 THz, and 0.94 THz, and the corresponding transmittances reach 93.11%, 98.62%, and 90.01%, respectively. The filter also shows good stopband characteristics and exhibits good sensing performance at the resonant frequencies of 1.992 THz and 2.276 THz. When VO2 is in metal state, the metamaterial structure acts as a double-band absorber, with three absorption peaks (>90%) in the range of 0.684 THz to 0.924 THz, 2.86 THz to 3.04 THz, and 3.28 THz to 3.372 THz, respectively. The designed structure is insensitive to the polarization of vertically incident terahertz waves and still maintains good absorption performances over a large range of incidence angles. Finally, the effects of geometric parameters on the absorption and transmission properties of the hybrid bifunctional metamaterials have also been discussed. The switchable metamaterial structures proposed in this paper provide great potential in terahertz application fields, such as filtering, smart sensing, switching, tunable absorbers, and so on.

RESUMO

Background: Aedes albopictus is an indigenous primary vector of dengue and Zika viruses in China. Wolbachia is a gram-negative and common intracellular bacteria, which is maternally inherited endosymbionts and could expand their propagation in host populations by means of various manipulations. Compared with research on the dispersion of Ae. albopictus at the macrospatial level (mainly at the country or continent level), little is known about its variation and Wolbachia infection at the microspatial level, which is essential for its management. Meanwhile, no local cases of dengue fever have been recorded in the history of Nanjing, which implies that few adulticides have been applied in the city. Thus, the present study examines how the Ae. albopictus population varies and the Wolbachia infection status of each population among microspatial regions of Nanjing City. Methods: The genetic structure of 17 Aedes albopictus populations collected from urban, urban fringe, and rural regions of Nanjing City was investigated based on 9 microsatellite loci and the mitochondrial coxI gene. The Wolbachia infection status of each population was also assessed with Wolbachia A- and Wolbachia B-specific primers. Results: Nine out of 58 tested pairs of microsatellite markers were highly polymorphic, with a mean PIC value of 0.560, and these markers were therefore chosen for microsatellite genotyping analysis. The Na value of each Ae. albopictus population was very high, and the urban area populations (7.353 ± 4.975) showed a lower mean value than the urban fringe region populations (7.866 ± 5.010). A total of 19 coxI haplotypes were observed among 329 Ae. albopictus individuals via haplotype genotyping, with the highest diversity observed among the urban fringe Ae. albopictus populations (Hd = 0.456) and the lowest among the urban populations (Hd = 0.277). Each Ae. albopictus population showed significant departure from HWE, and significant population expansion was observed in only three populations from the urban (ZSL), urban fringe (HAJY), and rural areas (HSZY) (p < 0.05). Combined with DAPC analysis, all the Ae. albopictus populations were adequately allocated to two clades with significant genetic differences according to population structure analysis, and the best K value was equal to two. AMOVA results showed that most (96.18%) of the genetic variation detected in Ae. albopictus occurred within individuals (FIT = 0.22238, p < 0.0001), while no significant positive correlation was observed via isolation by distance (IBD) analysis (R 2 = 0.03262, p = 0.584). The TCS network of all haplotypes showed that haplotype 1 (H1) and haplotype 4 (H4) were the most frequent haplotypes among all populations, and the haplotype frequency significantly increased from urban regions (36.84%) to rural regions (68.42%). Frequent migration was observed among Ae. albopictus populations from rural to urban regions via the urban fringe region, with four direct migration routes between rural and urban regions. Furthermore, Wolbachia genotyping results showed that most of the individuals of each population were coinfected with Wolbachia A and Wolbachia B. The independent infection rate of Wolbachia A was slightly higher than that of Wolbachia B, and no significant differences were observed among different regions. Conclusion: In the microspatial environment of Nanjing City, the urban fringe region is an important region for the dispersion of Ae. albopictus populations between rural and urban areas, and Wolbachia A and Wolbachia B coinfection is the most common Wolbachia infection status in all Ae. albopictus populations among different regions.

RESUMO

Dengue virus type Ⅱ (DENV2) is a primary serotype responsible for the dengue fever epidemic, and Aedes aegypti is the main DENV2 vector. Understanding the Aedes aegypti immune mechanism against DENV2 is the basis for research on immune blockade in mosquitoes. Some preliminary studies lack validation in the literature, so this study was performed to further study and validate the potential target genes to provide a further basis for screening key target genes. We screened 51 genes possibly related to Aedes aegypti infection and immunity from the literature for further verification. First, bioinformatic methods such as GO, KEGG and PPI analysis were used, and then RT-qPCR was used to detect the changes in mRNA expression in the midguts and salivary glands of Aedes aegypti infected with DENV2.Bioinformatic analysis showed that mostly genes of the glucose metabolism pathway and myoprotein were influenced. In salivary glands, the Gst (xa) and Toll (xb) expression levels were significantly correlated with DENV2 load (y, lg[DENV2 RNA copies]), y = -3436xa+0.2287xb+3.8194 (adjusted R2 = 0.5563, F = 9.148, PF = 0.0045). In midguts, DENV2 load was significantly correlated with the relative Fba(R2 = 0.4381, t = 2.497, p < 0.05, df = 8), UcCr(R2 = 0.4072, t = 2.344, p < 0.05, df = 8) and Gbps1(R2 = 0.4678, t = 2.652, p < 0.05, df = 8) expression levels, but multiple regression did not yield significant results. This study shows that genes related to glucose metabolism and muscle proteins contribute to the interaction between Aedes aegypti and dengue virus. It was confirmed that SAAG-4, histone H4, endoplasmin, catalase and other genes are involved in the regulation of DENV2 infection in Aedes aegypti. It was revealed that GST and Toll in salivary glands may have antagonistic effects on the regulation of DENV2 load. Fba, UcCr and Gbps1 in the midgut may increase DENV2 load. These study results further condensed the potential target gene range of the Aedes aegypti immune mechanism against DENV2 infection and provided basic information for research on the Aedes aegypti in vivo blockade strategy against DENV2.

RESUMO

The measurement of grapevine phenotypic parameters is crucial to quantify crop traits. However, individual differences in grape bunches pose challenges in accurately measuring their characteristic parameters. Hence, this study explores a method for estimating grape feature parameters based on point cloud information: segment the grape point cloud by filtering and region growing algorithm, and register the complete grape point cloud model by the improved iterative closest point algorithm. After estimating model phenotypic size characteristics, the grape bunch surface was reconstructed using the Poisson algorithm. Through the comparative analysis with the existing four methods (geometric model, 3D convex hull, 3D alpha-shape, and voxel-based), the estimation results of the algorithm proposed in this study are the closest to the measured parameters. Experimental data show that the coefficient of determination (R 2) of the Poisson reconstruction algorithm is 0.9915, which is 0.2306 higher than the coefficient estimated by the existing alpha-shape algorithm (R 2 = 0.7609). Therefore, the method proposed in this study provides a strong basis for the quantification of grape traits.

RESUMO

The bruising is one of the major factors affecting the quality of loquat and the bruised areas of loquat are also prone to harbor bacteria and molds. Therefore, it is critical to detect early bruises of loquat. In this study, a method based on hyperspectral imaging technology coupled with band ratio and improved Otsu method was proposed to detect early bruises of loquat. Firstly, the principal component cluster analysis was used to analyze the three regions of Vis-NIR (397.5-1014.0 nm), Vis (397.5-780.0 nm), and NIR (780.0-1014.0 nm), respectively. It was found that the Vis-NIR and NIR spectral regions along PC1 could be used to effectively distinguish bruised tissues. Then, the key wavelength images corresponding to the two regions were selected according to the load curve, respectively, and two sets of PC images and band ratio images of them were established. After comparison, it was found that the band ratio image Q651.3 / 904.3 was the most suitable for subsequent analysis of detecting early bruises of loquat. Finally, in order to evaluate the segmentation effect of the improved Otsu method, the segmentation results of the global threshold and the Otsu method were compared with it, respectively, and it was found that the performance of the improved Otsu method was best. However, since the stem-end area and the bruised area have similar intensity features causing mis-segmentation, the stem-end area was removed by curvature-assisted Hough transform circle detection (CACD) algorithm. And all test set samples were used to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, and the overall accuracy of it was 96.0 %. The results show that the detection method proposed in this study has the potential to detect early bruises of loquat in online practical applications, and it provides a theoretical basis for hyperspectral imaging in the bruise detection of fruit.
