RESUMO

Four novel Mesona chinensis Benth polysaccharides were isolated using aqueous alcohol precipitation. Their molecular weights were determined using high-performance gel permeation chromatography: MA1 (2.3 kDa), MA2 (80.5 kDa), MA3 (180.9 kDa), and MA4 (635.2 kDa), and their compositions were analyzed using GC-MS. The polysaccharides were mainly D-glucose, D-galactose, L-Rhamnose, D-arabinose, D-xylose, and D-mannose. The structural characteristics were further analyzed using infrared spectrophotometry and were identified as a type of pyrrhic sugar. An insulin-induced insulin resistance model of HepG2 cells and oleic acid-induced fat accumulation model of insulin were established to evaluate the hypolipidemic effects. Three Bacteroides spp. [Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron (BT), B. ovatus (BO), and B. cellulosilyticus (BC)] that were negatively correlated with lipid-lowering activity were used to evaluate the lipid-lowering activity of polysaccharides. The Bacteroides metabolites of MA1 and MA2 exhibited hypolipidemic effects and antioxidant activities and could potentially be used as lipid-lowering supplements.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Explore the clinical characteristics and prognosis of children with norovirus (NoV)-associated benign convulsions with mild gastroenteritis (CwG). METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed the Clinical and laboratory data of children with NoV-associated CwG admitted to the emergency department of Guangzhou Children's Hospital between January 2019 and January 2020. And patients were followed up for 23-36 months. RESULTS: There are 49 cases met the CwG criteria. Vomiting was the first symptom in 31 (63.3%) patients, and vomiting could be the main or the only gastrointestinal symptom. The mean frequency of seizures was 3.8 ± 2.4 episodes. Most patients (95.9%) experienced seizures that lasted for less than 5 min. Of the 43 (87.8%) cases followed up from 23 to 36 months, only one experienced recurrent convulsions (after rotavirus infection). SIGNIFICANCE: NoV-associated CwG patients were prone to experiencing more convulsions. However, because most NoV-associated CwG patients had good prognosis, long-term use of anticonvulsants are unnecessary.

RESUMO

Objective: To provide both empirical support and a theoretical framework for systematically improving and optimizing the cognitive capabilities of college students through physical activity, while considering the mediating and regulating impacts of self-efficacy and negative emotion. Methods: The study employed an overall random sampling method, examining 500 college students from five universities in Jiangsu Province using the Physical Activity Rating Scale (PARS-3), Adult Executive Function Scale (ADEXI), Positive and Negative Emotion Scale (PANAS), and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Results: The findings indicated that the average age of the participants was 18.41 ± 0.73 years, encompassing 215 male students (43%), and 185 female students (57%). Engagement in physical activity was significantly and positively correlated with executive function (ß = 0.246, p < 0.01), inversely associated with negative emotion (ß = -0.137, p < 0.01), and demonstrated a significant positive predictive impact on self-efficacy (ß = 0.183, p < 0.01). Self-efficacy was observed to partially mediate the relationship between executive function and physical activity. In addition, negative mood was identified as playing a partial mediating and modifying role in the relationship between executive function and physical activity. Conclusion: Increasing college students' daily physical activity participation not only benefits their executive function, self-efficacy, and confidence levels but also exerts a limited positive impact on negative mood, with the potential to regulate the intensity of negative emotion.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To identify risk factors for the recurrence of convulsions with mild gastroenteritis (CwG)1 in children. METHODS: Altogether, 613 children with CwG admitted to Children's Hospital of Shanxi Province from January 2010 to December 2015 were selected, their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed, and patients were followed up for 4-10 years. Risk factors for the recurrence of CwG were analyzed based on the clinical characteristics of the children. RESULTS: Relapse occurred in 35 patients (6.3 %). Recurrence occurred within 6 months after the first CwG in majority of the patients (80 %), and recurrence occurred once in most patients (91.4 %). Risk factors associated with CwG recurrence were age at first attack of ≤18 months (recurrence rates at ages ≤ and >18 months were 8.7 %, and 3.1 %, respectively; χ2 = 4.856, P = 0.028), and a history of convulsions in first-degree relatives (recurrence rates in first-degree relatives with and without a history of convulsion were 20 % and 6.2 %, respectively; χ2 = 5.501, P = 0.019). CONCLUSIONS: Children with CwG have a possibility of recurrence. The risk of recurrence within 6 months of onset is high and such patients should be carefully observed. Furthermore, the age of onset of ≤18 months and history of convulsions in first-degree relatives are risks factors for CwG recurrence; therefore, these children should be closely followed up.

RESUMO

The pronounced anisotropy of the magnetization caused by the Ho(3+) ions in the ferrimagnetic holmium iron garnet has been investigated based on quantum theory. The strong anisotropy of the magnetization of the Ho(3+) ions originates mainly from the effect of the crystal field upon the Ho(3+) ions and the anisotropic Ho(3+)-Fe(3+) superexchange interaction. Following the expression of the Yb(3+)-Fe(3+) exchange interaction used by Alben, the anisotropy of the Ho(3+)-Fe(3+) exchange interaction is defined by three principal values of the exchange tensor G. Because the six Ho(3+) sublattices are magnetically non-equivalent, we calculate the magnetic quantities of the Ho(3+) at the six sublattices and compare the average value of the so-obtained six quantities with the measured values. The calculated results are in good agreement with experiments. An interpretation on the anisotropy of the magnetic properties of HoIG is given.

RESUMO

Using the infrared ray of human body, which is received and magnified by pyroelectric infrared sensor to form a certain voltage control signal, and using the control signal to trigger a voice recording-reproducing circuit, a pyroelectric infrared detector voice device with auto-control function designed. The circuit adopted new pyroelectric infrared detector assembly and voice recording-reproducing assembly. When someone is present in the detectable range of the pyroelectric infrared detector, first, the pyroelectric infrared sensor will transform the incepted radiation energy to a electric signal, which is then magnified and compared by an inside circuit, and an output control signal, touches off the voice recording-reproducing assembly with the reproducer sending out a beforehand transcribed caution voice to wise the man who does not know well the surrounding condition that the frontage is a danger zone and should not be approched. With the design of integrated structures, the distance-warning device has the advantages of strong anti-jamming ability, low temperature resistance, working stability and use-convenience, and it can be suitably installed and used in several locations which may endanger person safety, such as substation, high voltage switch panel, electric transformer, etc.

RESUMO

Using reflective near infrared sensor and voice record-reproducing assembly, the present article studies the voice anticollision-prompting device for backing an automobile. If there is a man or an object within a certain distance behind the backing automobile, part of the infrared signal will be reflected by the man or the object, and received by the photosensitive tube installed with a transmitting tube, and transformed to a similar frequency electric signal. The electric signal will be amplified, demodulated, and shaped by the circuit of module. After comparing and processing, the control signal will be output, which controls the work of voice record-reproducing assembly, and reminds the driver that there is a man or an object behind the backing automobile. With both the near infrared sensor and voice record-reproducing assembly being integrated, the distance-warning device has the advantages of low costs, simple wiring, strong anti-detonation ability, precise measuring, and working stability. It is suitable for being installed and used on the automobile.
