[Quercetin for the treatment of prostate cancer: Progress in studies].

Prostate cancer (PCa) is a common urinary malignancy, and advanced PCa has a poor prognosis and a high mortality. Drug therapies currently available for this malignancy often cause serious adverse reactions, and therefore new drugs with fewer adverse effects or the potential to reduce the adverse effects of traditional chemotherapeutic drugs are badly needed for the management of PCa. Quercetin, as a natural flavonoid, has been extensively studied in recent years for its anti-cancer effects, as in cell signal transduction, apoptosis promotion, anti-proliferation and -oxidation, and growth inhibition. In fact, quercetin has a variety of biological effects and can inhibit various enzymes involved in cell proliferation and signal transduction pathways. Besides, quercetin is also reported to have potential synergistic effects when used in combination with radiotherapy or chemotherapeutic drugs. This review summarizes the advances in the treatment of PCa with quercetin, focusing on its effects of promoting the apoptosis, inhibiting the proliferation and reducing the invasiveness and migration of tumor cells, and reversing drug resistance, aiming to provide a new theoretical basis and some new ideas for the studies of the treatment of PCa.

Laparoscopic assisted treatment of obstructive azoospermia after hernia repair: A case report.

The iatrogenic injury of the vas deferens after bilateral hernia repair is rarely found in childhood, and can only diagnose when the patient is infertile after marriage. Azoospermia caused by iatrogenic bilateral vas deferens injury is common in clinic. In the past, patients who had varicocele ligation, pelvic surgery, kidney transplantation and testicular descent fixation may have iatrogenic vas deferens injury. Hernia repair is the most common cause of vas deferens injury, most of which is vas deferens cut and ligated. In this report, we describe a case of obstructive azoospermia after bilateral hernia repair, which was naturally pregnant after laparoscopic assisted microsurgery.

Management of inadvertent intracaval placement of JJ stents and intracardiac migration during PCNL: Report of 1 extremely rare case.

Among the various rare complications that occur in the treatment of urolithiasis procedures, stent migration is rare, and most of them are into the renal veins or inferior vena cava (IVC). In this report, we describe one case of PCNL stent misplacement into the heart, causing arrhythmia. After identifying the stent migration, based on the location, the DJS was taken out through supraclavicular vein.
