RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To explore the clinical effect of antero-medial incision of knee joint in treating intercondylar fracture of femur. METHODS: From September 2012 to March 2015, 24 patients with intercondylar fracture of femur were selected, including 17 males and 7 females, aged from 20 to 65 years old with an average of(38.3±9.5) years old. Among them, 12 cases were caused by traffic accident, 8 cases were caused by falling injury and 4 cases were caused by falling down. All patients were closed fractures. The time from injury to hospital was from 30 min to 8 h with an average of(2.2±0.3) h. According to AO classification, 4 cases were type B1, 3 type B2, 2 type B3, 5 type C1, 6 type C2 and 4 type C3. All patients were treated with antero-medial incision of knee joint. Operative time, blood loss and postoperative complications were observed and recovery of keen function was evaluated by Kolmert scoring. RESULTS: All patients were followed-up from 6 to 12 months with average of (9.0±1.7) months. Operative time ranged from 50 to 90 min with an average of (70.0±8.2) min; blood loss ranged from 90 to 400 ml with an average of (180±36) ml; negative pressure flow was from 30 to 90 ml, with an average of (50.0±7.1) ml. All fracture were healed at stage I without loosening of internal fixator, fracture nonunion, and deep vein thrombosis. According to Kolmert scoring, 16 patients got excellent result, 5 patients good and 3 fair. CONCLUSIONS: Antero-medial incision of knee joint in treating intercondylar fracture of femur, which has advantages of good fracture reduction, less injury of soft tissue and simple operation, could obtain good clinical results.

RESUMO

A new optode membrane for the sensitive determination of berberine based on fluorescence quenching of a conjugated polymer, poly(2,5-dimethoxy-phenyldiacetylene) (PDPA), is proposed. Incorporated in a membrane composed of plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC), the conjugated polymer exhibits better stability than those small sensing molecules regarding its excellent optical properties and lipophilic characteristics. Moreover, upon the introduction of a negatively charged lipophilic additive (tetraphenylborate salt) into a PVC membrane, the optode displayed enhanced sensitivity. In addition, satisfactory analytical sensing characteristics for determining beberine were obtained in terms of the selectivity, reversibility and reproducibility with a detecting range of between 7.5 x 10(-7) mol l(-1) and 7.5 x 10(-4) mol l(-1). The optode membrane has been applied to determine berberine in commercial tablets. The results showed a good agreement with those obtained by the pharmacopoeial method.

RESUMO

A new fluorophore, N,N-dibenzyl-3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (NBTMB), was prepared and shown to exhibit significant and analytical usefulness for optical sensing toward 2,4-dinitrophenol or 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (picric acid) when it was immobilized in a plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane. When the membrane was applied to aqueous nitrophenol solution, NBTMB was able to extract selectively nitrophenol into the membrane phase. Since the extraction equilibrium was accompanied by fluorescence quenching of NBTMB, the chemical recognition process could be directly translated into an optical signal. The sensor showed reversible response in the concentration range from 2.0 x 10(-7) to 6.0 x 10(-5) mol L(-1) for the detection of 2,4-dinitrophenol in NaOAc-HOAc buffer at pH 4.0. It also showed a fast response time (t95% < 1.5 min) when the sensor was applied to 2,4-dinitrophenol solution at concentration levels of 5.26 x 10(-6) and 2.10 x 10(-5) mol L(-1) alternatively. A working principle is proposed and the responses of this sensor to various kinds of nitrophenol were studied. The sensor was applied to the direct determination of 2,4-dinitrophenol in prepared water samples and the indirect assay of the drug cinchonine and the results obtained were satisfactory.
