BACKGROUND: Hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage (HCH), the most common chronic diseases, has become a topic of global public health discussions. AIM: To investigate the role of rehabilitative nursing interventions in optimizing the postoperative mental status recovery phase and to provide clinical value for future rehabilitation of patients with HCH. METHODS: This randomized controlled study included 120 patients with cerebral HCH who were contained to our neurosurgery department between May 2021-May 2023 as the participants. The participants have randomly sampled and grouped into the observation and control groups. The observation group received the rehabilitation nursing model, whereas the control group have given conventional nursing. The conscious state of the patients was assessed at 7, 14, 21, and 30 d postoperatively. After one month of care, sleep quality, anxiety, and depression were compared between the two groups. Patient and family satisfaction were assessed using a nursing care model. RESULTS: The results showed that the state of consciousness scores of the patients in both groups significantly increased (P < 0.05) after surgical treatment. From the 14th day onwards, differences in the state of consciousness scores between the two groups of patients began to appear (P < 0.05). After one month of care, the sleep quality, anxiety state, and depression state of patients were significantly better in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05). Satisfaction with nursing care was higher in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The rehabilitation nursing model has a more complete system compared to conventional nursing, which can effectively improve the postoperative quality of life of patients with cerebral hemorrhage and improve the efficiency of mental state recovery; however, further analysis and research are needed to provide more scientific evidence.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the predictive value of acute phase proteins (APPs) on the prognosis of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). METHODS: 293 AML patients who met the study requirements from January 2015 to April 2021 were collected, their clinical characteristics and pre-treatment APPs levels ï¼»including albumin (ALB), fibrinogen (FIB), C-reactive protein (CRP), Ferritin (FER)ï¼½ were followed up and investigated. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation between APPs. Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors for mortality in AML patients. ROC curve was used to analyze the predictive value of APP for mortality in AML patients, and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was used to compare the effect of APPs on complete remission (CR) rate, overall survival (OS), disease-free survival (DFS), and progression-free survival rate (PFS) of AML patients. RESULTS: Pearson correlation analysis showed that there were negative correlations between ALB and CRP (r=-0.134, P=0002), as well as ALB and FER (r=-0.148, P=0.001). There were correlations between FER and CRP (r=0361, P<0.001), as well as FER and FIB (r=0.293, P<0.001). Logistic regression analysis showed that advanced age (>50 years) (OR=1.87, 95% CI=1.25-2.15, P<0.001), relapse after treatment (OR=2.11, 95% CI=111-3.18, P=0.003), FLT3-ITD mutation (OR=2.59, 95% CI=1.10-4.12, P<0.001), CRP≥524 mg/L (OR=1.21, 95% CI=1.02-2.14, P=0.024), CFA (CFA=CRP*FIB/ ALB)≥3 (OR=2.41, 95% CI=1.65-6.47, P<0.001), and FER≥1145.58 mg/ml (OR=1.67, 95% CI=1.15-3.75, P<0.001) were the risk factors for the survival of AML patients. ROC curve analysis showed that FER (AUC=0.752, 95% CI=0.681-0823, P<0.001, the best cut-off value=1220.56 mg/ml) and CFA (AUC=0.804, 95% CI=0.741-0.868, P<0.001, the best cut-off value=3.00) had higher predictive value for the survival of AML patients. The remission rate, PFS, DFS, and OS in the low CFA group (CFA≤3) were significantly higher than those in the high CFA group (CFA>3), and the overall mortality rate was lower than that in the high CFA group; the remission rate, PFS, DFS, and OS in the low FER group (FER≤1220.56 mg/ml) were significantly higher than those in the high FER group (FER>1220.56 mg/ml), while the overall mortality rate was lower than that in the high FER group, and the difference is statistically significant. CONCLUSION: The CFA value and FER level before treatment in AML patients can independently predict the prognosis of patients, and high levels of CFA and FER are associated with poor prognosis of AML patients.

Filamentous bacteria, as one of the common bacteria types in wastewater biological treatment, are considered to be the main factor to induce sludge bulking. However, because of its special filamentous shape, it plays a crucial role in the formation of sludge particles. Taking filamentous bulking sludge as the research object, the effect of filamentous bacteria on the sludge granulation process and maintaining the stability of sludge granules was studied, and the microbial diversity of the sludge system was analyzed. Filamentous bulking sludge (SVI=241.56 mL·g-1) and flocculated sludge (SVI=64.22 mL·g-1) were respectively inoculated to carry out granulation culture. The results showed that the time of particle appearance of bulking sludge and flocculated sludge was 20 days and 40 days, respectively; the mature particle sizes were 650 µm and 700 µm, respectively; and the granulation time of bulking sludge was only half that of flocculated sludge. After adding the anoxic zone, the granules were broken to differing degrees, but the SV30/SV5 value of mature granules recovered to 1 after short-term fluctuation, and the stability of the mature granules was stronger. The analysis of microbial community structure showed that the relative abundance of norank_o__Saccharimonadales, unclassified_o__Saccharimonadales, and unclassified_f__Saccharimonadaceae increased from 0.05%, 0.01%, and 0.01% to 4.09%, 3.15%, and 1.12%. The existence and accumulations of these hydrophobic bacteria were important for rapid granulation. The removal rates of COD, NH4+-N, and TN were 94%, 99%, and 35% and 92%, 97%, and 30%, respectively, in SBR1 of bulking sludge and SBR2 of flocculated sludge, and the removal rates of TP were 60% and 30%, respectively.

In order to study the pollution characteristics and causes of winter haze pollution in Beijing, a typical PM2.5 pollution process in Beijing in December 2019 was used as the analysis object using aerosol vertical detection data, boundary layer meteorological field and near-ground turbulence data, and the difference in haze. The characteristics of the pollution stage and the evolution of the physical and chemical characteristics of the boundary layer were comprehensively analyzed. The results showed that ① the pollution process in Beijing during the observation period lasted 5 d and experienced two generations and eliminations. The maximum hourly PM2.5 concentration was 220 µg·m-3 and the time exceeding the severe pollution standard was 64 h, thereby accounting for 53% of the total time. ② The aerosol optical properties and meteorological field observation data showed that the pollution originated from the regional transmission of aerosols and water vapor on the surface of the southwest urban agglomeration in Beijing, which accounted for 48% of the total pollution transmission, followed by a stable high-altitude situation and ground pressure field configuration. The near-surface layer maintained weak southerly winds (wind speed: 1-2 m·s-1), a strong inversion temperature close to the ground ï¼»0.8 K·(100 m)-1ï¼½, high humidity (relative humidity above 80%), and other unfavorable diffusion weather conditions, thereby promoting the accumulation of pollutants and the conversion of moisture absorption. Superimposing local pollution emissions were the main reasons for the maintenance of haze days. In addition, the near-ground extinction coefficient increased from 0.070 km-1 to 5.954 km-1, and the depolarization ratio decreased from 0.05 to 0.02 during the two pollution generation and disappearance processes, thereby indicating that the spherical characteristics of aerosols gradually became significant as the pollution increased. ③ The analysis of the turbulence observation data showed that the characteristic quantities of different pollution stages were significantly different and negatively correlated with the pollutant concentration. Before the occurrence of heavy pollution, the turbulence statistics (turbulence intensity, friction velocity, and turbulent kinetic energy) suddenly decreased from high values (the hourly variation rate was 77%, thereby far exceeding the daily fluctuation of 33%), and the turbulence intensity responded first. During the pollution accumulation stage, the friction velocity (0.04-0.21 m·s-1), turbulence intensity (average: 0.678 m2·s-2), and turbulence energy (average: 0.643 m2·s-2) were maintained at a low level, and the bottom atmosphere had a poor mixing and diffusion ability, which is important for continuous pollution accumulation. Four hours before the end of the pollution event, the turbulence intensity again showed a sharp increase (increment of more than one order of magnitude); thus, the turbulence intensity can be used as a predictive indicator of the occurrence and end of a heavy pollution event, and the response time is the same as the continuous turbulence intensity after the turbulence peak. In addition, the sensible heat fluxes on sunny days and haze days were both transported from the ground to the atmosphere, and showed clear daily single-peak changes. The sensible heat flux on haze days (20 W·m-2) was smaller than that on sunny days (60 W·m-2). The latent heat flux was approximately 0 W·m-2 in the whole process. ④ There was a feedback effect between the meteorological conditions of the pollution layer and the boundary layer. On the one hand, unfavorable diffusion of the meteorological conditions was conducive to the accumulation of pollution. On the other hand, the aerosol layer and water vapor cooling effect that accumulated near the ground were worse than the night cooling radiation on the inversion layer The contribution was greater, thereby further inhibiting the development of turbulent motion and ultimately resulting in increased pollution.

The lithium (Li)-air battery has an ultrahigh theoretical specific energy, however, even in pure oxygen (O2 ), the vulnerability of conventional organic electrolytes and carbon cathodes towards reaction intermediates, especially O2 - , and corrosive oxidation and crack/pulverization of Li metal anode lead to poor cycling stability of the Li-air battery. Even worse, the water and/or CO2 in air bring parasitic reactions and safety issues. Therefore, applying such systems in open-air environment is challenging. Herein, contrary to previous assertions, we have found that CO2 can improve the stability of both anode and electrolyte, and a high-performance rechargeable Li-O2 /CO2 battery is developed. The CO2 not only facilitates the in situ formation of a passivated protective Li2 CO3 film on the Li anode, but also restrains side reactions involving electrolyte and cathode by capturing O2 - . Moreover, the Pd/CNT catalyst in the cathode can extend the battery lifespan by effectively tuning the product morphology and catalyzing the decomposition of Li2 CO3 . The Li-O2 /CO2 battery achieves a full discharge capacity of 6628 mAh g-1 and a long life of 715 cycles, which is even better than those of pure Li-O2 batteries.

The roots of Chuanmingshen violaceum is a commonly used Chinese herb and food, which contains rich amino acids. However, the kinds and amounts of amino acids are variety in this herb among the geographical location and ecological environment. Therefore, this study firstly developed a new pre-column derived HPLC method to quantify the levels of 18 amino acids in Ch. violaceum roots. Then 24 Ch. violaceum samples were harvested from its main cultivating areas in Sichuan, China. These samples were divided into 4 producing areas based on their geographical sites. The 18 kinds of amino acids were quantified in these sample by the developed method. The differences of these amino acids were further analyzed among these herbal samples and the 4 producing areas by t-test and principal component analysis(PCA). The result indicated the peaks of the 18 kinds of amino acids were separated well in 70 min.The correlation coefficients between peak areas and concentration of these amino acids were more than 0.999 1(n=6). All of their recoveries were in the range of 97.38%-101.3%(n=6).Their detection limit was in the range of 0.003-0.379 µg·mL~(-1).It demonstrates that the developed HPLC method can accurately quantify the amounts of multi-amino acids in this herb. The results of t-test analysis showed the contents of histidine, cystine, leucine, valine, tryptophan, phenylalanine and threonine were significantly different(P<0.05) among the 4 producing areas. But the differences of other amino acids were not significant.The first five factors were extracted by PCA to calculate the comprehensive score. The order of comprehensive score for the 4 producing areas was B(0.603, n=10), C(0.206, n=3), A(-0.283, n=7) and D(-1.167, n=4). The total content of amino acids in Ch. violaceum collected in B producing area was largest(12.5 mg·g~(-1)). It is concluded the Ch. violaceum contains multi-kinds of amino acids. On the basis of amino acid amount, Langzhong city and Cangxi county in Sichuan province(producing area B) is the suitable areas for cultivating Ch. violaceum.

With the rapid development of wearable and portable electronics, flexible and stretchable energy storage devices to power them are rapidly emerging. Among numerous flexible energy storage technologies, flexible batteries are considered as the most favorable candidate due to their high energy density and long cycle life. In particular, flexible 1D batteries with the unique advantages of miniaturization, adaptability, and weavability are expected to be a part of such applications. The development of 1D batteries, including lithium-ion batteries, zinc-ion batteries, zinc-air batteries, and lithium-air batteries, is comprehensively summarized, with particular emphasis on electrode preparation, battery design, and battery properties. In addition, the remaining challenges to the commercialization of current 1D batteries and prospective opportunities in the field are discussed.

The flexible Li-O2 battery is suitable to satisfy the requirements of a self-powered energy system, thanks to environmental friendliness, low cost, and high theoretical energy density. Herein, a flexible porous bifunctional electrode with both electrocatalytic and photocatalytic activity was synthesized and introduced as a cathode to assemble a high-performance Li-O2 battery that achieved an overpotential of 0.19 V by charging with the aid of solar energy. As a proof-of-concept application, a flexible Li-O2 battery was constructed and integrated with a solar cell via a scalable encapsulate method to fabricate a flexible self-powered energy system with excellent flexibility and mechanical stability. Moreover, by exploring the evolution of the electrode morphology and discharge products (Li2 O2 ), the charging process of the Li-O2 battery powered by solar energy and solar cell was demonstrated.

BACKGROUND: Extant indices for distinguishing between iron deficiency anemia (IDA) and thalassemia (Thal) have substantial practical limitations. The aim of this pilot study was to assess the predictive value of red blood cell lifespan (RBCLS), as determined by an automated CO breath test analysis approach, in the differential diagnosis of these two common forms of microcytic hypochromic anemia (MHA). METHODS: RBCLS measurements were conducted in 35 healthy controls (HCs) and 114 patients diagnosed with MHA (IDA, N = 59; and Thal, N = 55) with ELS TESTER that provides a direct RBCLS value read-out. RBCLS between IDA and Thal was compared and evaluated by referring to normal cut-off from the instrument. RESULTS: Compared with that in HCs, RBCLS in IDA and Thal groups was shortened; and median RBCLS was shorter in the Thal group than that in IDA group (33 d versus 79 d, p < 0.001). The median RBCLS in IDA patients with chronic gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding was shorter than that those without GI bleeding (38 d versus 100 d, p < 0.001). Using 75 d as a cut-off, RBCLS had a sensitivity of 96.4% and a specificity of 50.8% for detecting Thal. When GI bleeding patients were excluded from the IDA group, discriminant efficiency of RBCLS was further improved. CONCLUSIONS: MHA with a normal RBCLS is suggestive of IDA, whereas MHA with a significantly shortened RBCLS without signs of chronic GI bleeding is suggestive of Thal.

This study combined quantum chemical calculations and the matrix isolation technique to identify the formation of primary intermediates from the ozonolysis of cis-2-butene and limonene. Quantum chemical calculations were conducted under the framework of density functional theory (DFT) at M06-2x/6-311+(d, p) level of theory to predict the possible mechanism as well as the new absorption bands. New bands whose intensity increased with annealing, were observed in twin jet deposition, which indicated the formation of primary ozonides, CI and secondary ozonides in the investigated systems. Isotopic labeling (18O) experiments further supported the assignment of observed bands. The results and findings in this study would enrich the understanding of the reaction mechanism of alkene ozonolysis.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of synthetic long-chain polyphosphate on blood coagulation and platelet aggregation. METHODS: The effect of artificial synthetic long chain poly phosphate on blood coagulation and platelet aggregation was detected by coagulation tests, coagulation factor activity detection and platelet aggregation test, and its mechanism was explored by ELISA, flow cytometry and high content imaging system. RESULTS: The long chain polyphosphates prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time, decreased coagulation factor FⅧ, FⅨ, FⅪ and FⅫ activity, blocked ADP-induced platelet aggregation, and decreased the concentration of calcium and TXA2 in platelet. CONCLUSION: The synthetic long-chain polyphosphate can inhibit endogenous coagulation and inhibit platelet aggregation, which may be related with the inhibition of intracellular calcium and TXA2.

To promote the development of high energy Li-O2 batteries, it is important to design and construct a suitable and effective oxygen-breathing cathode. Herein, activated cobalt-nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube/carbon nanofiber composites (Co-N-CNT/CNF) as the effective cathodes for Li-O2 batteries are prepared by in situ chemical vapor deposition (CVD). The unique architecture of these electrodes facilitates the rapid oxygen diffusion and electrolyte penetration. Meanwhile, the nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube/carbon nanofiber (N-CNT/CNF) and Co/CoNx serve as reaction sites to promote the formation/decomposition of discharge product. Li-O2 batteries with Co-N-CNT/CNF cathodes exhibit superior electrochemical performance in terms of a positive discharge plateau (2.81 V) and a low charge overpotential (0.61 V). Besides, Li-O2 batteries also present a high discharge capacity (11512.4 mAh g-1 at 100 mA g-1 ), and a long cycle life (130 cycles). Meanwhile, the Co-N-CNT/CNF cathode also has an excellent flexibility, thus the assembled flexible battery with Co-N-CNT/CNF can work normally and hold a wonderful capacity rate under various bending conditions.

Since the American Medical Association published the 2011 guidelines for immune thrombocytopenia, China has been the first to update the guidelines for immune thrombocytopenia based on evidence-based medicine. Recently, there have been many breakthroughs in clinical research published, especially the Chinese medical workers have made a prominent contribution to the treatment of the immune thrombocytopenia. However, the references of systematic drug introduction for children, adults, aged and pregnant women are still insufficient, and the first or second line treatment for some patients were ineffective. Therefore, we tried to combine the references to interpret the guidelines, to explore the advantages and disadvantages of each treatment, to find out the bottleneck of clinical treatment, so as to facilitate the implementation and understanding of the guidelines, then update the next guideline.

To meet the increasing demands for portable and flexible devices in a rapidly developing society, it is urgently required to develop highly safe and flexible electrochemical energy-storage systems. Flexible lithium-oxygen batteries with high theoretical specific energy density are promising candidates; however, the conventional half-open structure design prevents it from working properly under water or fire conditions. Herein, as a proof-of-concept experiment, a highly safe flexible lithium-oxygen battery achieved by the synergy of a vital multifunctional structure design and a unique composite separator is proposed and fabricated. The structure can effectively prevent the invasion of water from the environment and combustion, which is further significantly consolidated with the help of a polyimide and poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) composite separator, which holds good water resistance, thermal stability, and ionic conductivity. Unexpectedly, the obtained lithium-oxygen battery exhibits superior flexibility, water resistance, thermal resistance, and cycling stability (up to 218 cycles; at a high current of 1 mA and capacity of 4 mA h). This novel water/fireproof, flexible lithium-oxygen battery is a promising candidate to power underwater flexible electronics.

RESUMO

Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) are considered as promising alternatives to lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) for large-scale electrical-energy-storage applications due to the wide availability and the low cost of Na resources. Along with the avenues of research on flexible LIBs, flexible SIBs are now being actively developed as one of the most promising power sources for the emerging field of flexible and wearable electronic devices. Here, the recent progress on flexible electrodes based on metal substrates, carbonaceous substrates (i.e., graphene, carbon cloth, and carbon nanofibers), and other materials, as well as their applications in flexible SIBs, are summarized. Also, some future research directions for constructing flexible SIBs are proposed, with the aim of providing inspiration to the further development of advanced flexible SIBs.

With the rising development of flexible and wearable electronics, corresponding flexible energy storage devices with high energy density are required to provide a sustainable energy supply. Theoretically, rechargeable flexible Li-O2 batteries can provide high specific energy density; however, there are only a few reports on the construction of flexible Li-O2 batteries. Conventional flexible Li-O2 batteries possess a loose battery structure, which prevents flexibility and stability. The low mechanical strength of the gas diffusion layer and anode also lead to a flexible Li-O2 battery with poor mechanical properties. All these attributes limit their practical applications. Herein, the authors develop an integrated flexible Li-O2 battery based on a high-fatigue-resistance anode and a novel flexible stretchable gas diffusion layer. Owing to the synergistic effect of the stable electrocatalytic activity and hierarchical 3D interconnected network structure of the free-standing cathode, the obtained flexible Li-O2 batteries exhibit superior electrochemical performance, including a high specific capacity, an excellent rate capability, and exceptional cycle stability. Furthermore, benefitting from the above advantages, the as-fabricated flexible batteries can realize excellent mechanical and electrochemical stability. RESUMO

An ultrathin, lightweight, and wearable Li-O2 battery with a novel segmented structure is first fabricated by employing a "break up the whole into parts" strategy. Superior battery performance including low overpotential, high specific capacity, good rate capability, excellent cycle stability, and high gravimetric/volumetric energy density (294.68 Wh kg-1 /274.06 Wh L-1 ) is successfully achieved even under repeatedly various deformation.

We collected and analyzed 128 surface soil samples from Xiangfen County for dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT), dichlorodiphenyldichloroethane (DDD), and dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene (DDE). Total DDT concentrations (DDTs; sum of p,p'-DDD, p,p'-DDE, and p,p'-DDT) ranged from ND to 427.81 ng g(-1) (dry weight, dw), with a mean of 40.26 ng g(-1) (dw). Among the three compounds, p,p'-DDD was the most dominant. The DDTs in Xiangfen County soils mainly originated from historical DDT use, but there were also new inputs likely related to dicofol use. The DDTs in Xiangfen County soils were mainly degraded under anaerobic conditions, and direct degradation to DDD was the main degradation route. Regions with relatively high concentrations of DDTs were mainly located in North and South Xiangfen County. In these regions, many soil samples contained p,p'-DDT as the predominant pollutant, suggestive of extensive new inputs of DDT. A health risk assessment revealed that there are no serious long-term health impacts of exposure to DDTs in soil, for adults or children.

RESUMO

A flexible freestanding air cathode inspired by traditional Chinese calligraphy art is built. When this novel electrode is employed as both a new concept cathode and current collector, to replace conventional rigid and bulky counterparts, a highly flexible and foldable Li-O2 battery with excellent mechanical strength and superior electrochemical performance is obtained.

People use dialectical thinking to be holistic, reconcile contradictions, and emphasize changes when processing information and managing problems. Using a questionnaire survey, this study examined the relationship between dialectical thinking and creative personality in the Chinese culture, which encourages a holistic and collective thinking style. Undergraduates majoring in different subjects and adults in different professions were surveyed. The results showed that 1) compared with undergraduates majoring in art and adults from the design industry, undergraduates majoring in other disciplines significantly showed the least creative personality; 2) the highest score for dialectical thinking was found in the group of undergraduates who majored in other disciplines, followed by the adult group, and the undergraduates majoring in art had the lowest score; and 3) A negative relationship between dialectical thinking and creative personality was found mostly in the UMA group. The limitations of this study and suggestions for future research are discussed.
