RESUMO

GC-SAW was used to carry out online sampling analysis of the main business sources, residential sources, and roads in Rizhao City from August 22 to 29 in 2020. The spatial distribution characteristics of various volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the atmosphere were obtained, and the chemical reactivity of the main components was studied. The results showed that the VOCs with carbon atoms greater than 5 (VOCC>5) were mainly toluene propylbenzene and n-octane, and the spatial distribution was significant; the average ρ(TVOCC>5) in the port area, downtown area, and industrial area were 80.5, 115.3, and 118.1 µg·m-3, respectively. Combined with road traffic impact and industrial production emissions, the maximum ρ(TVOCC>5) on the main roads in Rizhao City appeared near the Yingbin Road; the concentration value was 164.37 µg·m-3; the ρ(BTEX) in adhesive processing, painting, and glass factories reached 432.34, 1010.84, and 1989.85 µg·m-3, respectively. The chemical reactivity analysis of the main components of VOCC>5 showed that BTEX and n-octane were the important active components of ozone formation in Rizhao City.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To explore the efficacy and action mechanism of penetrating moxibustion at governor vessel for persistent allergic rhinitis of deficiency-cold syndrome. METHODS: Ninety patients with persistent allergic rhinitis of deficiency-cold syndrome were randomly divided into an observation group (n = 45) and a control group (n = 45). The patients in the control group were treated with momethasone furoate nasal spray, 2 sprays per side per time, once a day. On the basis of treatment in the control group, the patients in the observation group were additionally treated with penetrating moxibustion at governor vessel, 2 h per treatment, once a week. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The TCM symptom score, visual analogue scale (VAS) score and rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire (RQLQ) score were observed in the two groups before and after treatment. The serum level of immunoglobulin E (IgE) and complete blood count of eosinophil (EOS) were measured before and after treatment, and the clinical effects were compared. RESULTS: Compared before treatment, the TCM symptom scores, VAS scores, RQLQ scores, serum levels of IgE and complete blood count of EOS in the two groups were all reduced after treatment (P<0.05), and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate in the observation group was 95.6% (43/45), which was higher than 82.2% (37/45) in the control group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Based on the momethasone furoate nasal spray, the adjuvant treatment of penetrating moxibustion at governor vessel could significantly improve the clinical symptoms in patients with persistent allergic rhinitis of deficiency-cold syndrome, and its mechanism may be related to the regulation of immune disorder.

RESUMO

ABSTRACT: The efficacy and safety of bivalirudin in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has always been a hot topic in perioperative antithrombotic therapy, but there are still some controversies. So studies are needed to provide more evidence, especially the real world study which includes patients excluded from previous RCT studys. Our study aimed to investigate these information and analyze the independent predictors of postoperative adverse events.A retrospective study enrolled 1416 patients underwent PCI in Tianjin Chest Hospital from May 2016 to October 2017. The incidence of stent-thrombosis and net clinical adverse events, including all-cause death, myocardial infarction, stroke, urgent target-vessel revascularization and bleeding, were followed up for 30 days and 1 year. Logistic regression and COX regression were respectively used to analyze independent predictors of bleeding events within 30-days, and independent predictors of Major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) in patients with stent implantation within 1-year.Seven hundred six patients were treated with bivalirudin while 710 with unfractionated heparin (UFH). The proportions of diabetes, hypertension, anemia, myocardial-infarction history, PCI history, moderate-to-severe renal-impairment, gastrointestinal-bleeding history in the bivalirudin group were significantly higher (P < .05). Women, anemia were independent risk factors for bleeding within 30-days (P < .05). Among 682 patients with stent implantation in bivalirudin group, anemia, Body Mass Index (BMI) >25 kg/m2, KILLIP ≥2, ejection fraction (EF) <45%, eGFR <60 ml/minutes were independent risk factors for MACCE, while Statins, proton pump inhibitor (PPI) were independent protective factors for MACCE with-in 1-year (P < .05).Bivalirudin have good anticoagulant effect and lower bleeding risk during PCI, especially in patients with higher bleeding risk. In patients treated with bivalirudin, female, anemia were independent predictors of bleeding within 30-days, BMI >25 kg/m2, anemia, KILLIP ≥2, EF <45%, eGFR <60 ml/minutes were independent risk factors and Statins, PPI were independent protective factors of MACCE within 1-year.

RESUMO

Glomerular mesangial cells (GMCs) activation is implicated in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy (DN). Our previous study revealed that high glucose (HG)-treated glomerular endothelial cells (GECs) produce an increased number of TGF-[Formula: see text]1-containing exosomes to activate GMCs through the TGF-[Formula: see text]1/Smad3 signaling pathway. We also identified that Tongxinluo (TXL), a traditional Chinese medicine, has beneficial effects on the treatment of DN in DN patients and type 2 diabetic mice. However, it remained elusive whether TXL could ameliorate renal structure and function through suppression of intercellular transfer of TGF-[Formula: see text]1-containing exosomes from GECs to GMCs. In this study, we demonstrate that TXL can inhibit the secretion of TGF-[Formula: see text]1-containing exosomes from HG-treated GECs. Furthermore, exosomes produced by HG induced-GECs treated with TXL cannot trigger GMC activation, proliferation and extracellular matrix (ECM) overproduction both in vitro and in vivo. These results suggest that TXL can prevent the transfer of TGF-[Formula: see text]1 from GECs to GMCs via exosomes, which may be one of the mechanisms of TXL in the treatment of DN.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Tang Bi Kang (TBK) is a traditional Chinese medicine granule. It has been shown to have effects on nerve conduction velocity deficits, blood-related factors and oxidative stress. This study was undertaken to evaluate proposed antioxidative and anti-inflammatory activity of Tang Bi Kang in rats with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). METHODS: DPN was induced in male Wistar rats by intraperitoneal administration of streptozocin (STZ) (60 mg/kg.b.w) for 8 weeks. Fasting blood glucose (FBG) levels were measured in the blood obtained by clipping the tails of the rats. Tail-flick tests were conducted with a tail-flick analgesic meter. Motor and sensory nerve conduction velocities (MNCV and SNCV) of sciatic nerve were measured directly at two sites using a Functional Experiment System. Oxidative stress makers such as malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide-dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-6, and tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α were estimated. The statistical analysis of results was carried out using Student t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by least-significant difference post hoc with SPSS. RESULTS: The administration of TBK for 4 weeks in DPN rats resulted in a significant decrease in FBG levels compared to untreated DPN rats. There was a significant increase in MNCV and SNCV in the DPN rats compared to untreated DPN rats. Serum level of MDA was significantly reduced while the activities of SOD and GSH-pX were significantly increased in the TBK treated DPN rats. TBK prevented DPN-induced increase in the serum levels of IL-6 and TNF-α. CONCLUSION: The results of this study demonstrate that the therapeutic effect of TBK on DPN rats may be associated with the antioxidative and anti-inflammatory responses.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To assese the healing of stoma after magnetic anastomosis for the reconstruction of biliary-enteric continuity under severe inflammation. METHODS: Acute bile duct injury was constructed as a bile peritonitis model in mongrel dogs (n=32). Magnetic anastomosis (group A, n=16) and traditional suture anastomosis (group B, n=16) were performed to reconstruct the biliary-enteric continuity in one stage. Half of the dogs in each group were euthanized on the 30th postoperative day, and the other half on the 90th postoperative day to harvest the stoma region. The healing conditions of the stoma after the 2 anastomotic approaches were observed with naked eyes, under light microscope and scanning electron microscope. RESULTS: The stoma leakage rate (50% versus 0% on the 30th postoperative day, 37.5% versus 12.5% on the 90th postoperative day, both P<0.05) and stenosis degree (13.9%±0.3% versus 7.1%±0.3% on the 30th postoperative day, 17.2%±0.4% versus 9.4%±0.4% on the 90th postoperative day, both P<0.01) were significantly higher in group B than in group A. Compared with traditional manual anastomoses, the histological analysis under light and electron microscope showed a more continuous stoma with more regular epithelium proliferation and collagen arrangement, less inflammation in group A. CONCLUSIONS: Magnetic anastomosis stent ensures better healing of the stoma even under the circumstance of severe inflammation.
