RESUMO

Given the high cost and poisoning issues of Pt, developing Pd-based catalysts as substitutes is highly essential. Although substantial progress has been made, the synthesis of Pd-based electrocatalysts with both high activity and stability in the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) remains a challenge. In this work, we prepared Pd-Ag nanowires with up to micro-sized length and a diameter of ∼17 nm via a facile modified polyol method. The obtained Pd-Ag nanowires (NWs) exhibit interlaced features and are rich in grain boundary defects. Due to the continuous grain boundaries in the one-dimensional (1D) structure and the optimized composition, the synthesized Pd1Ag1 NWs show half-wave potential of 0.897 V and mass activity of 0.103 A mg-1 in alkaline media toward ORR, higher than those of both state-of-the-art Pt/C and other Pd-Ag counterparts. Significantly, after stability tests over 5000 cycles, Pd1Ag1 NWs shows a 2 mV positive shift, much better than that of Pt/C, exhibiting striking stability for ORR. This work may provide an avenue to construct advanced catalysts by surface defect engineering.

RESUMO

Objective: To determine the volatile chemical constituents of Panacix Quinquefolii Radix of different origins and different growth years,in order to provide the theoretical basis for the further development and utilization of Panacix Quinquefolii Radix. Method: Headspace solid phase microextraction (HS-SPME) combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was used to extract, analyze and identify the volatile constituents of Panacix Quinquefolii Radix. The chromatographic peak area normalization method was used to determine the relative amount of ingredients. Result: A total of 151 compounds were identified in Panacix Quinquefolii Radix samples, including 99 hydrocarbons,21 alcohol phenols,7 aldehydes,8 ketones,1 ester,15 heterocyclics and other compounds. Totally 68 kinds of compounds were identified in the roots of three-year-old Jilin Baishan, and the mass fraction accounted for 98.27%,67 compounds were identified in the roots of four-year-old Jilin Baishan, and the mass fraction accounted for 98.79%,65 compounds were identified in 3-year-old Panacix Quinquefolii Radix root, and the mass fraction accounted for 95.81%,and 63 compounds were identified in 4-year-old Panacix Quinquefolii Radix root, and the mass fraction accounted for 99.67%. The specific components of the volatile oil components of the four Panacix Quinquefolii Radix samples were 24,23,19,and 23,respectively,and the total composition was 16 species. Conclusion: The content and composition of volatile chemical constituents of Panacix Quinquefolii Radix of different origins are very different. This experiment provides a reference for the future quality evaluation of Panacix Quinquefolii Radix medicinal materials, rational development and utilization of resources.

RESUMO

Chemoselective reduction of alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehydes in the presence of CO and H(2)O proceeds effectively over a ceria-supported gold catalyst system, providing a novel, efficient and clean approach to produce useful primary allyl alcohols with excellent activity and selectivity.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo report the application of reverse second dorsal metatarsal artery island flap for From May 2005 to September 2008, 5 cases with soft tissue repairing the soft tissue defect at toes.

METHODSdefects at toes were treated with reverse second dorsal metatarsal artery island flaps. The flaps size ranged from 2 cm x 3 cm to 5 cm x 6 cm.

RESULTSAll the 5 flaps survived completely. The patients could walk 1-2 months after operation. The patients were followed up for 5-7 months with good appearance, texture and sensation of toes.

CONCLUSIONThe reverse second dorsal metatarsal artery island flap has a reliable blood supply and good tissue texture. It is a practical method for repairing the soft tissue defect at toes.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo introduce a method by reversed ulnar fasciocutaneous flap incised form the ulnar side of the fifth metacarpal area for repairing the soft tissue defect of the fifth finger.

METHODSFrom May 2001 to September 2001, ten patients with the soft tissue defects of the thenar side, dorsal side or ulnar side of the fifth finger were treated with the reversed ulnar fasciocutaneous flap incised from the fifth metacarpal area. The axial line of the flap was the line from ulnar side of the head of the fifth metacarpal bone to the pisiform level. The revolving point of the flap pedicle was 0.5-1 cm near the proximal end of the metacarpal-phalangeal joint. The area of the flap was form 5.0 cm x 3.5 cm to 1.5 cm x 1.0 cm.

RESULTSAll flaps of the ten cases were alive. 5-7 months followed-up show that, after operation, the flap present sensation in 6-12 mm, with soft texture and good appearances.

CONCLUSIONSThe advantages of this operative method were as follows: the reversed ulnar fasciocutaneous flap of the fifth metacarpal area have reliable blood supply, it was easily dissected and with good texture. So far this kind of flap is a good choice in repairing the soft tissue of the fifth finger.
