RESUMO

The synthesis of visible light-responsive and efficient photocatalysts toward green Baeyer-Villiger oxidation organic synthesis is of extraordinary significance. In this work, we have synthesized two examples of visible light responsive crystalline polyoxometalate@metal-organic framework materials Ru-NiMo and Ru-CoMo by introducing Ru metalloligands and {CdM3O12} bimetallic units (M = Ni or Co). This is the first report of metalloligand-modified polyoxometalate@metal-organic framework materials with bimetallic nodes, and the materials form a three-dimensional framework directly through coordination bonds between {CdM3O12} bimetallic units and metalloligands. In particular, Ru-NiMo can achieve efficient photocatalytic conversion of cyclohexanone to ε-caprolactone in yields as high as 95.5% under visible light excitation in the range of λ > 400 nm, achieving a turnover number and turnover frequency of 955 and 440 h-1, respectively, which are the best known photocatalysts for Baeyer-Villiger oxidation, while apparent quantum yield measured at 485 nm is 4.4%. Moreover, Ru-NiMo exhibited excellent structural stability and recyclability, producing a 90.8% yield after five cycles of recycling.

RESUMO

The synthesis of highly efficient visible-light-responsive photocatalysts is fundamental to solving the problems of low efficiency and poor selectivity in photocatalytic organic synthesis reactions. We synthesized a crystalline polyoxometalate @metal-organic framework material {Zn4 (H2 O)8 [Ir(ppy)2 (dcbpy)]4 [SiW12 O40 ]} ⋅ 4H2 O (Ir-SiW) by self-assembly of Ir metalloligands with POMs. The introduction of Ir metalloligands extends the light absorbing range to visible light, improving the efficient utilization of solar energy. The transfer of photogenerated electrons from Ir metalloligands to SiW12 was observed under visible light irradiation, which boosted the carrier separation efficiency. The synergistic effect of the two components increased the photocatalytic thioether oxidation activity, and the product methyl phenyl sulfoxide for 2.5 h under visible light irradiation (λ >400 nm) reached 99.5 %, which was higher than those of other POM-based photocatalysts. Meanwhile, the yield of methyl phenyl sulfoxide was still higher than 97 % after three cycles, demonstrating the high stability and reusability of Ir-SiW.

RESUMO

An organic-inorganic hybrid polyoxometalate Na5H5.68 [Na0.17Rh0.83III(C6H8N2)2Cl2]2(C8H8N2)2[As4W40O140Rh4IV(C6H4N2S)2]·nH2O (1) containing 5.66 Rh atoms is prepared; to our knowledge, it owns the largest number of Rh atoms in the Rh-POM family. Compound 1 demonstrates good catalytic performance in the reduction of nitrobenzene to aniline and the oxidation of aniline to azobenzene under mild conditions. Moreover, catalyst 1 exhibits high activity, excellent stability and recyclability.

RESUMO

Three Ru-induced structural interconversion polyoxometalates (POMs), Na13H5[Ru4(H2O)2(Cl)2(WO2)4(AsW9O33)4]·43H2O (1), K5Na9H8[Ru2(WO2)4(AsW9O33)4]·50H2O (2), and KNa13H14[(WO2)4(AsW9O33)4]·34H2O (3), were successfully synthesized and thoroughly characterized. Interconversion of structures was accomplished by changing the number of active sites for compounds 1-3. All three compounds contain one {As4W40O140} unit, showing similar structural characteristics except for the active center number (Ru). Interestingly, compound 1 [turnover number (TON)= 486; turnover frequency (TOF)= 20 h-1] showed highly efficient photocatalysis in achieving oxidative coupling of primary amines. Compound 2 (TON = 406, TOF = 17 h-1) was also found to promote the oxidative coupling with relatively poor efficiency; however, compound 3 (TON = 178; TOF = 7.4 h-1) had no obvious contribution to the coupling reaction system, and a chain of evidence indicates that the catalytic performances are strongly dependent on element contents of active sites. Furthermore, the Ru-containing POM-based photocatalysts are conveniently recyclable and reusable during the photocatalytic processes. This study demonstrates the possibility of tuning the catalytic efficiency and stability of POM-based photocatalysts by well designing and controlling their structures. The possible reaction mechanism for the photocatalysis synthesis of imine product is also proposed based on experimental studies.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the expression and correlation of Runt-related transcription factor 3(RUNX3)and enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)in rectal cancer, and to reveal the relationship between the expression of RUNX3 and EZH2 and the sensitivity of XELOX regimen to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer patients. Methods The carcinoma and paracancerous tissues of 31 patients with rectal adenocarcinoma and no preoperative antitumor therapy were selected as cancer group and paracancer group, respectively. The relative mRNA levels of RUNX3 and EZH2 in the two groups were measured by real-time quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, and the protein levels were determined by immunohistochemical assay. The expression of RUNX3 and EZH2 was compared between cancer tissue and paracancerous tissue. The pre-treatment wax blocks of 26 patients with locally advanced rectal cancer who received 3 cycles of XELOX regimen as neoadjuvant chemotherapy before surgery were selected as the pre-neoadjuvant therapy group, and the postoperative pathological wax blocks were selected as the post-neoadjuvant treatment group.Tumor regression grade(TRG)was determined to evaluate the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy.Immunohistochemical assay was used to detect the protein levels of RUNX3 and EZH2 in the two groups, and then the relationship between the expression patterns of the two proteins and the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy was analyzed. Results Compared with paracancerous tissue, the cancer tissue showed down-regulated mRNA level and reduced positive protein expression rate of RUNX3,while up-regulated mRNA level(P=0.001)and increased positive protein expression rate of EZH2(P=0.022).The mRNA levels of RUNX3 and EZH2 in the cancer group were negatively correlated(r=-0.599,P=0.000).Twelve patients who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy reached TRG0-TRG2,and the overall effective rate of neoadjuvant chemotherapy was 46.15%(12/26).Compared with pre-neoadjuvant therapy group, the post-neoadjuvant therapy group had increased positive expression rate of RUNX3 protein(P=0.163)and decreased positive expression rate of EZH2 protein(P=0.095).In the pre-neoadjuvant therapy group, the effective rate of neoadjuvant chemotherapy was 75.00%(9/12)in patients with positive RUNX3 expression,77.78%(7/9)in patients with negative EZH2 expression, and 100%(7/7)in patients with positive expression of RUNX3 and negative expression of EZH2.Multivariate Logistic regression showed that the expression of RUNX3 protein was the factor influencing the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Conclusions The positive expression rate of RUNX3 in cancer tissue was lower than that in paracancerous tissue, while that of EZH2 showed the opposite trend.Neoadjuvant chemotherapy may affect the expression of RUNX3 and EZH2 in rectal cancer. The patients with high RUNX3 expression and low EZH2 expression in locally advanced rectal cancer were more sensitive to neoadjuvant chemotherapy with XELOX regimen.

RESUMO

Improving the cutting efficiency is the major factor for improving the processing of nickel-based alloys. The novelty of this research is the calibrated SiAlON ceramic tool dry milling nickel-based alloy process. Firstly, the nickel-based alloy dry milling process was analyzed through the finite element method, and the required milling force and temperature were deduced. Then, several dry milling experiments were conducted with the milling temperature, and the milling force was monitored. The change in cutting speeds was from 400 m/min to 700 m/min. Experimental results verified the reduction of the dry milling force hypothesized by the simulation. The experiment also indicated that with a cut depth of 0.3 mm, cut width of 6 mm, and feed per tooth of 0.03 mm/z, when milling speed exceeded 527.52 m/min, the milling force began to decrease, and the milling temperature exceeded the nickel-based alloy softening temperature. This indicated that easy cutting could be realized under high-speed dry milling conditions. The interpolation curve about average temperature and average milling forces showed similarity to the tensile strength reduction with the rise of temperature.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Runt-associated transcription factor 3 (RUNX3) on the invasion and metastasis of human colon cancer HT-29 cells and to preliminarily explore the mechanism of its anticancer effect. METHODS: The RUNX3 plasmid vector was transfected into human colon cancer HT-29 cells by liposome-mediated transfection, while the empty vector and the blank group were used as the control group. After Geneticin (G418) screening, HT-29 cells with stable expression of RUNX3 gene were obtained. The expressions of mRNA and proteins of RUNX3 and metalloproteinases (MMP)-2/9 were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and western blot. Cell proliferation was determined by MTT assay. The effect of RUNX3 on invasion and metastasis of HT-29 cells was evaluated by scratch injury assay, Transwell chamber, and Matrigel invasion model. RESULTS: RUNX3 was expressed stably in HT-29 cells after transfection. The expressions of RUNX3 mRNA and proteins in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the blank/empty vector groups. Meanwhile, the expressions of MMP-2/9 mRNA and proteins in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the blank group and the empty vector group. The proliferation and migration ability in the experimental group was significantly lower than blank/empty vector groups from the third day. Transwell chamber experiment and Matrigel invasion assay showed that the number of Transwell cells was decreased significantly than blank/empty vector groups, but no difference was found between the blank group and the empty vector group. CONCLUSION: RUNX3 can inhibit the invasion and metastasis of human colon cancer HT-29 cells, and the mechanism may be related to decreased expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9.
