RESUMO
Subsets of mononuclear cells, specific pregnancy proteins (SP-1, SP-3, PAPP-A) in the normal pregnancy decidua (NPD) and spontaneous abortion decidua (SAD), and trophoblast were studied. Significant decrease of lymphocytes infiltration was found in SAD. CD8+ cells rather than CD4+ cells predominated in NPD. CD4+ cells levels were lower in NPD in comparison with SAD. CD4+ lymphocytes rather than CD8+ cells predominated in SAD. Macrophages population was found to be increased in SAD in comparison with NPD. In blood vessels walls, cytoplasm of mononuclear cells and decidua stroma, PAPP-A and SP-3 were expressed in NPD and unexpressed or negative in SAD. In syncytiotrophoblast, SP-1 was expressed in normal pregnancy and unexpressed in spontaneous abortion. It is suggested that inadequate fetal-placental tissues counts of suppressor decidual lymphocytes, specific pregnancy proteins might be a cause of early spontaneous abortion.

Different modifications of fibrous enterosorbent of the ACFM "Dnepr-MN" type exert a normalizing effect on the morphofunctional state of the liver of preadolescent rats with the model of toxic hepatitis. The distortion in the oxidation of lipids with peroxide and in the antioxidizing system protection removed, antitoxic liver function increases, which is confirmed by microsomal oxidation processes. A mediated effect of enterosorbents on the hepatocyte membrane structures is very significant for their detoxication effect.

Histological, histochemical and histostereometric examination of 115 placentas and liver of 55 stillborns and newborns from mothers with a cardiovascular pathology was performed. The structural changes in the placenta were as follows: its early maturation (stromal proliferation and sclerosis), dissociated changes in the villi maturation, significant decrease of a vascular bed relative volume, syncytiocapillary membranes, syncytial cover of the villi. A reduction of the glycogen content and an accumulation of lipids in the branching part of chorion was found histochemically. Fat and proteinaceous degeneration, abundant foci of extramedullary haematopoiesis, portal surface increase (sometimes with a disturbance of the bile duct structure), increase of the lipid content and decrease of the reaction to glycogen were revealed in the liver of dead foetuses and newborns dying in early neonatal period.

Organs of newborns expired in the early neonatal period were studied as were histological, histochemical and ultrastructural alterations in the placentas of fetuses with a history of chronic intrauterine hypoxia (45 cases). The findings compared with the similar investigations conducted in the females with physiological pregnancy and labor were suggestive of the interrelation of placental alterations and structural lesions in the liver and myocardium of the newborn.

Daily injections of 5 mg/kg of aethimizol to female rabbits during the last week of pregnancy results in normalization of the central nervous and cardiovascular systems reactions in response to a graded mechanical stimulation, in an increased ATP content in the erythrocytes, lesser acidotonic shifts in the blood and marked diminution in the number of stillbirths. Under similar conditions of the exeriment sodium oxybutyrate in a dose of 200 mg/kg did not contribute to normalization of the central nervous and cardiovascular systems response reactions, nor did it lower the acidosis in the blood and had no marked effect on the reduction in the number of stillbirths.

The processes of dursban biotransformation during the liver perfusion in rats exposed to CCl4 and milbex for 4, 8 and 15 days (microsomal enzyme inhibitor and inducer, respectively) were studied. The ultrastructure of hepatocytes was examined in the animals treated with the mentioned poisons. Three stages of the structural and functional changes were revealed. Reconstruction of the dursban biotransformation ways occurred from the 8th day, i.e. the dialkylation processes were intensified, resulting in production of less toxic metabolites.
