RESUMO

The radioactivity of the synthesized total lipids after in vitro incubation of liver, skeletal muscle and adipose tissue homogenates from ruminants with [9,10-3H]stearic acid was 3.5, 2.9 and 6.6 times higher than after the incubation of these organs and tissues with [1-14C]linolenic acid, respectively compared with the radioactivity of non-esterificant fatty acids fraction being in this case 2.0, 1.7 and 1.6 times lower, respectively. The radioactivity of phospholipids, di- and triglycerides, free and esters cholesterols after the incubation of liver, skeletal muscle and adipose tissue homogenates with [9,10-3H]stearic acid comprised 30.6-33.5, 13.2-18.0, 23.2-32.5, 18.2-23.0, 2.8-3.3 per cent of total lipid radioactivity, respectively, and after the incubation with [1-14C]linolenic acid this correlation was as follows: 46.5-51.5,17.8-33.3, 4.0-10.6, 9.2-15.4 and 0.6-4.5 per cent of total lipids radioactivity.

RESUMO

Small intestine mucose inflammation and diarrhea syndrome in piglets affected by salmonella endotoxin enhanced prostaglandin E2 synthesis and decreased prostaglandin F2 alpha synthesis. Under these conditions the share of free cholesterol decreased and the share of diacylglycerols increased in total lipid content in thin intestine mucose of piglets. The share of phosphatidic acid decreased and the share of lysophosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylinositol increased in the total content of phospholipids.

RESUMO

Radioactivity of phospholipids, triglycerides, free and esters-bound cholesterol synthetized by homogenates of the liver, skeletal muscle and adipose tissues from the fetuses and adult cattle after in vitro incubation with [1-14C] linolenic acid was higher than that in the adult cattle. In the liver, skeletal muscle and adipose tissues of fetuses and adult animals [1-14C] linolenic acid is much utilized for the synthesis of phospholipids than for the synthesis of triglycerides and cholesterol esters, in particular.

RESUMO

After in vitro incubation of liver, skeletal muscle and adipose tissues from the fetuses and adult cattle as well as of placenta tissue with [1-14C]arachidonic acid, about 90% of the radioactive label was found in the lipids, 10%-in the prostaglandins, and 0.1%-in 14CO2. Arachidonic acid was utilized for the synthesis of lipids and prostaglandins in the majority of fetal tissues in a much greater degree, whereas that in energy-linked process--in a smaller degree compared with adult cattle tissues. [1-14C]arachidonic acid metabolism in the placenta and liver of the given species proceeds much more intensely than that in the skeletal muscles and adipose tissue. In tissues of adult animals [1-14C]arachidonic acid is predominantly utilized for the synthesis of phospholipids, whereas that in fetal tissues is utilized for the synthesis of phospholipids, cholesterol, esters and triglycerides.

RESUMO

Calves were fed with the whole milk substitute containing different amounts of linoleic acid--0.70, 1.44 and 3.65 per cent from the total energy content of the ratio--for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd groups, respectively, beginning from the 2nd to the 60th day of life. The feeding of different amounts of linoleic acid has no significant effect on the lipid content and the ratio of different type of lipids as well as on prostaglandins E2 and F 2 alpha contents. The increase of linoleic acid quantity in the liver lipids of calves occurs parallel to that of its uptake. During the liver homogenates incubation in the medium containing [1-14C] linoleic acid 0.15-0.22 per cent of the label are found in the composition of 14CO2, 85.7-85.9 per cent--in lipids, 13,9-14,6 per cent--in prostaglandins.
