[Ten-year experience of the postgraduate education for general practitioners]. / Desiatiletnii opyt organizatsii obucheniia vrachei terapevticheskogo profilia v internature.

The article summarizes a 10-year experience of teaching general practitioners in internship. Different kind of teaching in the 1-year term was described as well as given questionnaire design results of internists to be. Intership organization development was considered in the article, it will help the work of general practitioners to be more effective.

[Lipid peroxidation abnormalities in miners with Reiter's disease and gout]. / Narushenie perekisnogo okisleniia lipidov u shakhterov bol'nykh bolezn'iu Reitera i podagroi.

The paper presents results of investigations designed to study changes in lipid peroxidation and in antioxidant system of miners in different vocational groups with Reiter's disease and gout. It is shown that the condition of the above systems is affected by both diseases as such and occupational conditions of miners. Based on the secured findings it is recommended that treatment of the above patients be supplemented with an antioxidant agent, copherol in particular.

[Sex and gonadotropic hormones in the blood in joint diseases in miners]. / Polovye i gonadotropnye gormony v krovi pri bolezniakh sustavov u shakhterov.

Coal miners suffering from rheumatoid arthritis (RA), deforming osteoarthrosis (OA) and gouty arthritis (GA) were found to develop hypotestosteronemia in a study on the condition of the hypophysis-and-gonads system, this being observed even in essentially healthy individuals. With all arthronoses, androgen levels get depressed, particularly so in the presence of increased activity of lutropin. In RA examenees blood concentration of estradiol tends to increase, while OA and GA miners demonstrate reduced content of estrogen, with manifest hyperprogesteronemia being common. Hormonal dysbalance correlates with gravity of the course of the inflammatory-degenerative processes in the locomotor system.
