RESUMO

The high-entropy materials (HEMs), composed of five or more elements, have attracted significant attention in electrocatalysis due to their unique physicochemical properties arising from the existence of multi-elements compositions. Beyond chemical composition, microstructure significantly influences the catalytic performance and even the catalytic mechanism towards energy conversion reactions. Given the rapid proliferation of research on HEMs and the critical roles of microstructure in their catalytic performance, a timely and comprehensive review of recent advancements is imperative. This review meticulously examines the synthesis methods and physicochemical characteristics of HEMs with distinct one-dimensional (1D), two-dimensional (2D), and three-dimensional (3D) morphologies. By highlighting representative examples from the past five years, we elucidate the unique properties of HEMs with 1D, 2D and 3D microstructures, detailing their intricate influence on electrocatalytic performance, aiming to spur further advancements in this promising research area.

We designed and constructed rare earth doped upconversion nanoparticles ß-Na(Y0.78Yb0.18Er0.04)F4, sensitizing layer encapsulated ß-Na(Y0.9Er0.1)F4@ß-NaYbF4 and inert layer encapsulated ß-Na(Y0.9Er0.1)F4@ß-NaYbF4@ß-NaYF4. Compared with the mononuclear material, the luminescence intensity of the particles encapsulated with double shells in the three main bands of blue, green and red emissions increased by 346, 22, and 54 times respectively. While improving the upconversion luminescence performance, the underlying reasons for this improvement were analyzed in detail. The effects of shell coating on the fluorescence lifetime, thermal stability and energy level transition are discussed. On this basis, the composite film material was constructed by combining the shell coating strategy and the plasma resonance interaction strategy, which further improved the upconversion efficiency. In addition, by combining performance optimized upconversion particles with information coding, we explored its potential as an anti-counterfeiting material.

An inflammatory response is one of the pathogeneses of depression. The anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects of auraptene have previously been confirmed. We established an inflammatory depression model by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) injection combined with unpredictable chronic mild stress (uCMS), aiming to explore the effects of auraptene on depressive-like behaviors in adult mice. Mice were divided into a control group, vehicle group, fluoxetine group, celecoxib group, and auraptene group. Then, behavioral tests were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of auraptene in ameliorating depressive-like behavior. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß) were examined by ELISA. Interleukin-10 (IL-10), interleukin-4 (IL-4), and transforming growth factor-ß (TGF-ß) were examined by protein chip technology. The morphology of microglia was observed by the immunohistochemical method. The data showed that, compared with the control group, the vehicle group mice exhibited a depressive-like behavioral phenotype, accompanied by an imbalance in inflammatory cytokines and the activation of microglia in the hippocampus. The depressive behaviors of the auraptene group's mice were significantly alleviated, along with the decrease in pro-inflammatory factors and increase in anti-inflammatory factors, while the activation of microglia was inhibited in the hippocampus. Subsequently, we investigated the role of auraptene in vitro-cultured BV-2 cells treated with LPS. The analysis showed that auraptene downregulated the expression of IL-6, TNF-α, and NO, and diminished the ratio of CD86/CD206. The results showed that auraptene reduced the excessive phagocytosis and ROS production of LPS-induced BV2 cells. In conclusion, auraptene relieved depressive-like behaviors in mice probably via modulating hippocampal neuroinflammation mediated by microglia.

Straw biochar is a commonly recognized agricultural amendment that can improve soil quality and reduce carbon emissions while sequestering soil carbon. However, the mechanisms underlying biochar's effects on annual soil carbon emissions in seasonally frozen soil areas and intrinsic drivers have not been clarified. Here, a 2-y field experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of different biochar dosages (0, 15, and 30, t ha-1; B0 (CK), B15, and B30, respectively) on carbon emissions (CO2 and CH4) microbial colony count, and soil-environment factors. The study period was the full annual cycle, including the freeze-thaw period (FTP) and the crop growth period (CP). Structural equation modeling (SEM) was developed to reveal the key drivers and potential mechanisms of biochar on carbon emissions. Biochar application reduced soil carbon emissions, with the reduction rate positively related to the biochar application rate (B30 best). During FTP, the reduction rate was 11.5% for CO2 and 48.2% for CH4. During CP, the reduction rate was 17.9% for CO2 and 34.5% for CH4. Overall, compared with CK, B30 treatment had a significant effect on reducing total soil carbon emissions (P < 0.05), with an average decrease of 16.7% during the two-year test period. The study also showed that for soils with continuous annual cycles (FTP and CP), carbon emissions were best observed from 10:00-13:00. After two years of freeze-thaw cycling, biochar continued to improve soil physical and chemical properties, thereby increasing soil microbial colony count. Compared with B0, the B30 treatment significantly increased the total colony count by 74.3% and 263.8% during FTP and CP (P < 0.05). Structural equation modeling (SEM) indicated that, with or without biochar application, the soil physicochemical properties directly or indirectly affected soil CO2 and CH4 emission fluxes through microbial colony count. The total effects of biochar application on CO2 emission fluxes were 0.50 (P < 0.05) and 0.64 (P < 0.01), respectively, but there was no significant effect on CH4 emission fluxes (P > 0.05). Among them, soil water content (SWC), soil temperature (ST) and soil organic carbon (SOC) were the main environmental determinants of CO2 emission fluxes during the FTP and CP. The total effects were 0.57, 0.65, and 0.53, respectively. For CH4, SWC, soil salinity (SS) and actinomycete colony count were the main environmental factors affecting its emission. The total effects were 0.50, 0.45, 0.44, respectively. For freeze-thaw alternating soils, the application of biochar is a feasible option for addressing climate change through soil carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions mitigation. Soil water-heat-salt-fertilization and microbial communities are important for soil carbon emissions as the reaction matrix and main participants of soil carbon and nitrogen biochemical transformation.

ß-Ga2O3 is an ultrawide-band gap semiconductor with excellent potential for high-power and ultraviolet optoelectronic device applications. Low thermal conductivity is one of the major obstacles to enable the full performance of ß-Ga2O3-based devices. A promising solution for this problem is to integrate ß-Ga2O3 with a diamond heat sink. However, the thermal properties of the ß-Ga2O3/diamond heterostructures after the interfacial bonding have not been studied extensively, which are influenced by the crystal orientations and interfacial atoms for the ß-Ga2O3 and diamond interfaces. In this work, molecular dynamics simulations based on machine learning potential have been adopted to investigate the crystal-orientation-dependent and interfacial-atom-dependent thermal boundary resistance (TBR) of the ß-Ga2O3/diamond heterostructure after interfacial bonding. The differences in TBR at different interfaces are explained in detail through the explorations of thermal conductivity value, thermal conductivity spectra, vibration density of states, and interfacial structures. Based on the above explorations, a further understanding of the influence of different crystal orientations and interfacial atoms on the ß-Ga2O3/diamond heterostructure was achieved. Finally, insightful optimization strategies have been proposed in the study, which could pave the way for better thermal design and management of ß-Ga2O3/diamond heterostructures according to guidance in the selection of the crystal orientations and interfacial atoms of the ß-Ga2O3 and diamond interfaces.

Anal fistula is a common anal and intestinal disease. The wound of anal fistula surgery is open and polluting, which is the most difficult to heal among all surgical incisions. To investigate the mechanism of Huanglian ointment (HLO) on wound healing after anal fistula incision. The S. aureus infected wound in SD rats were used to imitate poor healing wound after anal fistula surgery. SD rats with wound sites (n = 24) were randomly divided into four groups (Control group, Model group, Potassium permanganate (PP) treatment group, and HLO treatment group). The wound healing rate was evaluated, HE staining was used to evaluate the pathological changes of each group, ELISA was used to detect the secretion of inflammatory factors in each group, and the mechanism was explored through metabolomics and proteomics in plasma rat. Compared to other groups, the rate of wound healing in the HLO group was higher on days 7 and 14. Histological analysis showed that collagen and fibroblast in HLO rats were significantly increased, inflammatory cells were reduced, and vascular endothelial permeability was increased. ELISA results showed that the secretion of inflammatory factors in HLO rats was significantly lower. Significant proteins and metabolites were identified in the wound tissues of the infected rats and HLO-treated rats, which were mainly attributed to Cdc42, Ctnnb1, Actr2, Actr3, Arpc1b, Itgam, Itgb2, Cttn, Linoleic acid metabolism, d-Glutamine and d-glutamate metabolism, Phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis, Phenylalanine metabolism, alpha-Linolenic acid metabolism, and Ascorbate and aldarate metabolism. In conclusion, this study showed that HLO can promote S. aureus infected wound healing, and the data provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of wounds after anal fistula surgery with HLO.

AlN/diamond heterostructures hold tremendous promise for the development of next-generation high-power electronic devices due to their ultrawide band gaps and other exceptional properties. However, the poor adhesion at the AlN/diamond interface is a significant challenge that will lead to film delamination and device performance degradation. In this study, the uniaxial tensile failure of the AlN/diamond heterogeneous interfaces was investigated by molecular dynamics simulations based on a neuroevolutionary machine learning potential (NEP) model. The interatomic interactions can be successfully described by trained NEP, the reliability of which has been demonstrated by the prediction of the cleavage planes of AlN and diamond. It can be revealed that the annealing treatment can reduce the total potential energy by enhancing the binding of the C and N atoms at interfaces. The strain engineering of AlN also has an important impact on the mechanical properties of the interface. Furthermore, the influence of the surface roughness and interfacial nanostructures on the AlN/diamond heterostructures has been considered. It can be indicated that the combination of surface roughness reduction, AlN strain engineering, and annealing treatment can effectively result in superior and more stable interfacial mechanical properties, which can provide a promising solution to the optimization of mechanical properties, of ultrawide band gap semiconductor heterostructures.

Current understanding of the cerebral vascular response to variations in blood pressure (BP) among individuals with hypertension is limited. The aim of this meta-analysis was to determine the correlation between hypertension, risk of stroke, and cerebral blood flow (CBF). We reviewed studies published between 2000 and 2023 from PubMed, Google Scholar, and Science Direct that compared mean CBF in normotensive and hypertensive patients. A random effects model was used to construct the risk ratio (RR), 95% confidence interval (CI), forest plot, and inverse variance weighting. Additionally, a mixed-effects meta-regression was employed to examine the impact of study-specific patient variables. This meta-analysis included eight prospective cross-sectional studies published from 2002 to 2023. It revealed a significant average difference in the standard mean CBF of -0.45 (95% CI -0.60 to -0.30, I2 = 69%, P < 0.00001), distinguishing normotensive from hypertensive subjects. A RR of 0.90 (95% CI 0.63 to 1.30, I2 = 89%, P = 0.04) indicated a significant decrease in CBF among individuals with hypertension. We found a statistically significant relationship between changes in diastolic and systolic BPs and the mean CBF (R = -0.81, P = 0.001 and R = -0.90, P = 0.005, respectively). Our research demonstrates a strong relationship between elevated BP and reduced CBF, with hypertension reducing CBF compared to normotensive individuals, by increasing cerebrovascular resistance.

Photoexcitation electron donor-acceptor (EDA) complexes provide an effective approach to produce radicals under mild conditions, while the catalytic version of EDA complex photoactivation remains scarce. Herein, we report a visible-light-induced organophotocatalytic pathway for the cyanoalkylation of azauracils using inexpensive and readily available 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) as a catalytic electron donor. This synthetic method exhibits exceptional compatibility with various functional groups and presents 34 examples in high yields. The efficient cyanoalkylation offers an environmentally friendly and sustainable route toward enhancing the structural and functional diversity of azauracils.

Porcine rotavirus (PoRV) poses a threat to the development of animal husbandry and human health, leading to substantial economic losses. VP6 protein is the most abundant component in virus particles and also the core structural protein of the virus. Firstly, this study developed an antibiotic-resistance-free, environmentally friendly expression vector, named asd-araC-PBAD-alr (AAPA). Then Recombinant Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (L. plantarum) strains induced by arabinose to express VP6 and VP6-pFc fusion proteins was constructed. Subsequently, This paper discovered that NC8/Δalr-pCXa-VP6-S and NC8/Δalr-pCXa-VP6-pFc-S could enhance host immunity and prevent rotavirus infection in neonatal mice and piglets. The novel recombinant L. plantarum strains constructed in this study can serve as oral vaccines to boost host immunity, offering a new strategy to prevent PoRV infection.

Disorders in the regulatory arm of the adaptive immune system result in autoimmune-mediated diseases. While systemic immunosuppression is the prevailing approach to manage them, it fails to achieve long-lasting remission due to concomitant suppression of the regulatory arm and carries the risk of heightened susceptibility to infections and malignancies. Alopecia areata is a condition characterized by localized hair loss due to autoimmunity. The accessibility of the skin allows local rather than systemic intervention to avoid broad immunosuppression. It is hypothesized that the expansion of endogenous regulatory T cells (Tregs) at the site of antigen encounter can restore the immune balance and generate a long-lasting tolerogenic response. A hydrogel microneedle (MN) patch is therefore utilized for delivery of CCL22, a Treg-chemoattractant, and IL-2, a Treg survival factor to amplify them. In an immune-mediated murine model of alopecia, local bolstering of Treg numbers is shown, leading to sustained hair regrowth and attenuation of inflammatory pathways. In a humanized skin transplant mouse model, expansion of Tregs within human skin is confirmed without engendering peripheral immunosuppression. The patch offers high-loading capacity and shelf-life stability for prospective clinical translation. By harmonizing immune responses locally, the aim is to reshape the landscape of autoimmune skin disease management.

Evidence indicated that emojis could influence sarcasm comprehension and sentence processing in English. However, the effect of emojis on Chinese sarcasm comprehension remains unclear. Therefore, this study investigated the impact of the smiley emoji position and semantics on eye movements and subjective assessments during Chinese online communication. Our results showed that the presence of a smiley emoji improved participants' interpretation and perception of sarcasm. We also found shorter dwell times on sarcastic words compared to literal words under the comment-final emoji condition. Additionally, we clarified the time course of emojified sentence processing during Chinese reading: the presence of emoji initially decreased first fixation durations compared to the absence of emoji and then the comment-final emoji shortened dwell times on sarcastic words compared to literal words in the critical area of interest. Our findings suggested that the comment-final emoji was the preferable choice for avoiding semantic comprehension bias in China.


We studied how emoji position influenced Chinese semantic processing by combining the indices of eye movements and subjective assessments. Our results revealed that the comment-final smiley emoji was preferable for avoiding sarcasm comprehension bias. The corresponding time course and recommendations for improving Chinese online interpersonal interactions were discussed.

The presence of heterotopic ossification (HO) after primary total knee replacement (TKR) is rare and associated with limited mobility and stiffness of the knee. This study aimed to identify if the arthroscopic debridement after TKR could decrease HO and improve the function and range of motion. Thirty HO patients after TKR were retrospectively separated into 2 cohorts. 15 patients of group A accepted the arthroscopic debridement, while 15 patients of group B only had non-operative treatment, mainly including oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and rehabilitative treatment. Visual analog scale (VAS) scores, knee society knee scores (KSS), range of motion (knee flexion and knee extension) were obtained before treatment and at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months after treatment. Radiography of after-treatment was also evaluated to assess the changes in HO. There were 3 males and 27 females with a mean age of 67.4 ± 0.8 years in group A and 68.2 ± 1.3 in group B. The onset time of HO was 3-6 months. The maximum size of the ossification was < 2 cm in 23 knees, 2 cm < heterotopic bone < 5 cm in 6 knees and > 5 cm in 1 knee. The size of HO decreased gradually in all knees by X-ray film at the last follow-up. There were no significant differences in VAS scores after replacement between two groups (p > 0.05). The average range of motion preoperatively in group A was - 15.2-90.6°, which postoperatively increased to - 4.2-110.0°. Meanwhile, the KSS scores and average range of motion of the group A were better than those of the group B at each follow-up time after treatment. Arthroscopic debridement can decrease HO seen from postoperative X-rays, improve the function and range of motion, as well as the pain remission between two groups are comparable. Consequently, arthroscopic resection of HO after TKR is recommended as soon as there is aggravating joint stiffness.

Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-mediated coupling of osteogenesis and angiogenesis is a critical phenomenon in bone formation. Herein, we investigated the role and mechanism of SGMS1 in the osteogenic differentiation of MSCs and, in combination with osteogenesis and angiogenesis, to discover new therapeutic targets for skeletal dysplasia and bone defects. SGMS1 addition accelerated MSC osteogenic differentiation, whereas SGMS1 silencing suppressed this process. Moreover, SGMS1 overexpression inhibited ceramide (Cer) and promoted sphingomyelin (SM) levels. SM treatment neutralized the suppressive effect of shSGMS1 on osteogenesis. SGMS1 restrained PP2A activity by regulating Cer/SM metabolism and thus enhanced the levels of phosphorylated Akt, Runx2, and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Furthermore, SGMS1 transcription was regulated by Runx2. SGMS1 increased MSC-mediated angiogenesis by promoting VEGF expression. SGMS1 addition promoted rat bone regeneration in vivo. In conclusion, SGMS1 induces osteogenic differentiation of MSCs and osteogenic-angiogenic coupling through the regulation of the Cer/PP2A/Akt signaling pathway.

The escalating problem of compound arsenic (As) and cadmium (Cd) contamination in agricultural soils necessitates the urgency for effective remediation strategies. This is compounded by the opposing geochemical behaviors of As and Cd in soil, and the efficacy of biochar treatment remains unclear. This pioneering study integrated 3780 observation pairs referred from 92 peer-reviewed articles to investigate the impact of iron-modified biochar on As and Cd responses across diverse soil environments. Regarding the treatments, 1) biochar significantly decreased the exchangeable and acid-soluble fraction of As (AsF1, 20.9%) and Cd (CdF1, 24.0%) in paddy fields; 2) iron-modified biochar significantly decreased AsF1 (32.0%) and CdF1 (27.4%); 3) iron-modified biochar in paddy fields contributed to the morphological changes in As and Cd, mainly characterized by a decrease in AsF1 (36.5%) and CdF1 (36.3%) and an increase in the reducible fraction of As (19.7%) and Cd (39.2%); and 4) iron-modified biochar in paddy fields increased As (43.1%) and Cd (53.7%) concentrations in the iron plaque on root surfaces. We conclude that iron-modified biochar treatment of paddy fields is promising in remediating As and Cd contamination by promoting the formation of iron plaque.

To investigate the endothelialization of covered and bare stents deployed in the canine carotid arteries and subclavian arteries for treating experimental aneurysms and arteriovenous fistulas, twenty aneurysms were created in 10 dogs, and 20 fistulas in another 10 dogs. The Willis balloon-expandable covered stent and a self-expandable covered stent were used to treat these lesions, and a self-expandable bare stent was deployed in the subclavian artery for comparison. Followed up for up to 12 months, the gross observation, pathological staining, and scanning electronic microscopic data were analyzed. Two weeks after creation of animal model, thirty self-expandable covered stents and ten balloon-expandable covered stents were deployed. Fifteen bare stents were deployed within the left subclavian arteries. Twenty days after stenting, the aneurysm significantly shrank. At 6 months, the thrombi within the aneurysm cavity were organized. Three to 12 months later, most covered and bare stents were covered by a thin transparent or white layer of endothelial intima. Layers of intima or pseudomembrane were formed on the stent 20-40 days after stent deployment. Over three months, the pseudomembrane became organized, thinner, and merged into the vascular wall. Under scanning electronic microscopy, the surface of covered and bare stents had only deposition of collagen fibers and rare endothelial cells 20-40 days after stenting. From three to ten months, the endothelial cells on the internal surface of stent became mature, with spindle, stripe-like or quasi round morphology along the blood flow direction. Over time, the endothelial cells became mature. In conclusion, three months after deployment in canines' arteries, the self-expandable bare and covered stents have mostly been covered by endothelial cells which become maturer over time, whereas the balloon-expandable covered stents do not have complete coverage of endothelial cells at three months, especially for protruding stent struts and areas. Over time, the endothelialization will become mature.

RESUMO

Visible-light-induced EDA complex-promoted ring-opening of cycloketone oxime esters to synthesise various cyanoalkylated products with N-methacryloyl benzamides was developed. Various radical receptors were compatible with the current reaction system to furnish diverse heterocyclic compounds. Mechanistic analysis shows that the formation of an EDA complex was crucial to the photocatalytic strategy. Importantly, 4-cyanoalkyl isoquinoline-1,3-diones were obtained in high yields by using a catalytic amount of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) through prolonging the reaction time, which provided a practical approach to give a variety of isoquinoline-1,3-dione derivatives.

BACKGROUND: IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is a major cause of primary glomerulonephritis characterized by mesangial deposits of galactose-deficient IgA1 (Gd-IgA1). Toll-like receptors (TLRs), particularly TLR4 are involved in the pathogenesis of IgAN. The role of gut microbiota on IgAN patients was recently investigated. However, whether gut microbial modifications of Gd-IgA1 through TLR4 play a role in IgAN remains unclear. METHODS: We recruited subjects into four groups, including 48 patients with untreated IgAN, 22 treated IgAN patients (IgANIT), 22 primary membranous nephropathy (MN), and 31 healthy controls (HCs). Fecal samples were collected to analyze changes in gut microbiome. Gd-IgA1 levels, expression of TLR4, B-cell stimulators, and intestinal barrier function were evaluated in all subjects. C57BL/6 mice were treated with a broad-spectrum antibiotic cocktail to deplete the gut microbiota and then gavaged with fecal microbiota transplanted fromclinical subjects of every group. Gd-IgA1 and TLR4 pathway were detected in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from IgAN and HCs co-incubated with Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and TLR4 inhibitor. RESULTS: Compared with other three groups, different compositions and decreased diversity demonstrated gut dysbiosis in un-treated IgAN, especially the enrichment of Escherichia -Shigella. Elevated Gd-IgA1 levels were found in un-treated IgAN patients and correlated with gut dysbiosis, TLR4, B-cell stimulators, indexes of intestinal barrier damage, and proinflammatory cytokines. In vivo, mice colonized with gut microbiota from IgAN and IgANIT patients, copied the IgAN phenotype with the activation of TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway, B-cell stimulators in the intestine, and complied with enhanced proinflammatory cytokines. In vitro, LPS activated TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway, B-cell stimulators and proinflammatory cytokines in the PBMCs from IgAN patients, which resulted in overproduction of Gd-IgA1 and inhibited by TLR4 inhibitor. CONCLUSIONS: Our results illustrated that gut-kidney axis was involved in the pathogenesis of IgAN. Gut dysbiosis could stimulate the overproduction of Gd-IgA1 by TLR4 signaling pathway production and B-cell stimulators.

OBJECTIVE: HSK7653 is a novel, ultralong-acting dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, promising for type 2 diabetes mellitus with a dosing regimen of once every 2 weeks. This trial investigates the pharmacokinetics (PKs), pharmacodynamics (PDs),and safety of HSK7653 in outpatients with normal or impaired renal function. METHODS: This is a multicenter, open-label, nonrandomized, parallel-controlled phase I clinical study that investigates the pharmacokinetic profiles of HSK7653 after a single oral administration in 42 subjects with mild (n = 8), moderate (n = 10), severe renal impairment (n = 10), and end-stage renal disease (without dialysis, n = 5) compared with matched control subjects with normal renal function (n = 9). Safety was evaluated throughout the study, and the pharmacodynamic effects were assessed on the basis of a DPP-4 inhibition rate. RESULTS: HSK7653 exposure levels including the maximum plasma concentration (Cmax), area under the plasma concentration-time curve from zero to last time of quantifiable concentration (AUC0-t), and area under the plasma concentration-time curve from zero to infinity (AUC0-inf) showed no significant differences related to the severity of renal impairment. Renal clearance (CLR) showed a certain downtrend along with the severity of renal impairment. The CLR of the group with severe renal impairment and the group with end-stage renal disease were basically similar. The DPP-4 inhibition rate-time curve graph was similar among the renal function groups. All groups had favorable safety, and no serious adverse events occurred. CONCLUSIONS: HSK7653 is a potent oral DPP-4 inhibitor with a long plasma half-life, supporting a dosing regimen of once every 2 weeks. Impaired renal function does not appear to impact the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of HSK7653 after a single administration in Chinese subjects. HSK7653 is also well tolerated without an increase in adverse events with increasing renal impairment. These results indicate that dose adjustment of HSK7653 may not be required in patients with renal impairment. TRIAL REGISTRATION: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT05497297.
