RESUMO

As a typical carbon-based material electrode, graphene fiber exhibits many advantages, such as good electrical conductivity, lightweight, and strong structural designability. Its demand is increasing in the wearable display field. With the help of fine denier fiber spinning combined with multistranded graphene fibers prepared via twisting and drafting, their petal-like twisted structure endows the fibers with a high specific surface area, enabling them to complete dye adsorption within 30 min. Simultaneously, compared with that of a single fiber with the same thickness, the volume specific resistance of a multistranded twisted graphene fiber is reduced by 2.4 times. During force sensing, the twisted structure of multistranded fibers exhibits varying simultaneity of fiber fracture with excellent resistance sensitivity reaching up to 55%. The multistranded twisted flexible graphene fibers demonstrate excellent robustness. Electroluminescent flexible devices prepared with graphene fibers and fiber braided fabrics with different organizational structures as electrodes emit highly saturated short-wave blue light during long-term multiple use. Therefore, multistranded twisted graphene fibers exhibit considerable potential for future applications in wearable multicolor smart displays and flexible optical signal electronics.

RESUMO

Smart textiles based on monitoring systems of health conditions, structural behaviour, and external environmental conditions have been presented as elegant solutions for the increasing demands of health care. In this study, cotton fabrics (CFs) were modified by a common strategy with a dipping-padding procedure using reduced graphene oxide (RGO) and a photosensitive dye, spiropyran (SP), which can detect environmental UV light. The morphology of the CF is observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) measurements showing that the topography structure of coatings is related to the SP content. The resistance of the textile sensors decreases after UV radiation, which may be attributed to the easier electron transmission on the coatings of the CF. With the increase of SP content, the introduction of a large amount of SP within the composites could cause discontinuous distributions of RGO in the fiber surfaces, preventing electron transmission within the coatings of the RGO. The surface wettability of the coatings and the sweat sensitivity are also studied before and after UV radiation.

RESUMO

A mapping technique was used in the present study to explore the biological and imaging characteristics of invasive breast cancer and normal breast tissues in Raman examination data and construct a diagnostic model for breast cancer. Raman examination data reflect the biochemical or molecular characteristics of the target tissues. A total of 45 specimens from patients with breast cancer who underwent surgery and 25 adjacent normal breast tissue specimens were included in the present study. Using the specimens, a total of 53 sets of mapping data and 2,597 pieces of Raman spectral data were obtained. The collected spectra were corrected and fitted, the Raman spectra were analyzed by robust statistical methods, and a diagnostic model was constructed using the k-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method. The KNN classification method was applied to analyze the characteristics of the mapping test application. The percentage of outliers in the mapping data for malignant and normal breast tissues was 12.7 and 6.6%, respectively. The percentage of outlier data in the conventional single-point detection data for malignant and normal breast tissues was 24.5 and 26.0%, respectively. Analysis using a t-test identified a significant difference in the number of outliers between mapping and single-point detection for malignant (t=-6.169; P<0.001) and normal breast tissues (t=-8.873; P<0.001). Based on the mapping data, the accuracy, sensitivity and specificity for breast cancer detection by the diagnostic model constructed using the KNN method was 99.56, 96.6 and 98.48%, respectively. The positive and negative predictive value of this model was 99.56 and 89.04%, respectively. The data obtained by mapping technology demonstrated improved stability and contained less outliers compared with single-point detection. The diagnostic model constructed using the mapping data demonstrated excellent diagnostic performance and good correspondence with pathological results. The findings of the present study demonstrated the feasibility of the application of the diagnostic model for intraoperative real-time imaging for patients with breast cancer. This study provided the foundation of Raman spectroscopy-based diagnostic imaging at the molecular level.

RESUMO

The rapid developments of effective self-assembly technologies indicated that ordered structures could be produced using external field inducement. We designed the alignment of graphene oxide nanosheets grafted with the modified ferroferric oxide by the application of a magnetic field. The results indicated that the morphologies of graphene oxide went through some changes from disordered to semi-ordered in the final and, highly oriented wrinkled structures. The orientation mechanism of graphene oxide demonstrated that the geometric features of the wrinkles were related to the edge stresses and the elastic stiffness of the sheets, magnetic force of magnetic field to magnetic-particles. The prepared reduced graphene oxide fibers indicated that the sheets with magnetic precipitates underwent shrinkage in the radial direction when an external magnetic field was exerted and the interior sheets aligned along the direction of the magnetic field, which was supported by the proposed theories. It is expected that the research could contribute to the applications of flexible graphene-based materials in preparation and controlling the formation of wrinkles in single layer graphene.

RESUMO

The disposal of dye wastewater is one of the hotspots of scientific research. Upon combining the ability of graphene to accelerate the hydroxyl radical generation with the Fenton system, it has shown a faster degradation rate and can be recycled, showing greater degradation efficiency than the traditional dye treatment method. Herein, a catalytic system based on the regenerated silk fibroin (SF) gel integrated with cobalt tetraaminophthalocyanine (CoTAPc)-grafted-reduced graphene oxide (RGO) sheets were fabricated, and its catalytic activity was assessed via the degradation of acid red G (ARG) at varying catalyst and H2O2 dosages, pH values, and temperatures. The results revealed that the three-dimensional (3D) porous RGO-CoTAPc/SF gel exhibited a much stronger catalytic behavior than the other arbitrary components due to its high surface area and synergetic hydroxyl radical generation efficiency, with the dye removal ratio by RGO-CoTAPc/SF being higher in an acidic medium than in an alkaline medium. It also increases with the increase in temperature and RGO-CoTAPc/SF and H2O2 dosages. Further, the catalytic oxidation process of ARG was determined, and the possible degradation mechanism of ARG has been discussed. Our results suggest that the composite materials with high catalytic activity can provide a reference for future Fenton-like catalytic systems.

RESUMO

The title compound, C26H22N2O4, crystallizes in an anti-C=O orientation, with the two N-substituted benzene rings in different conformations relative to the naphthalene ring. These conformations allow two strong N-H...O hydrogen bonds and one C-H...pi interaction to generate molecular chains in the cell.
