RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The treatment of adolescent patients with distal femoral cancer has always been a concern. The limb-salvage, regarded as a mainstream treatment, had been developed in recent years, but its application in children still remains challenging. This is because it can lead to potential limb-length discrepancy from the continued normal growth of the contralateral lower body. The extendable prosthesis could solve this problem. The principle is that it can artificially control the length of the prosthesis, making it consistent with the length of the side of the lower limbs. However, this prosthesis has some complications. The extendable prosthesis is classified into invasive and minimally invasive, which extends the prosthesis with each operation. OBJECTIVE: We designed a new non-invasive prosthesis that can be extended in the body. Based on the non-invasive and extendable characteristics, we need to verify the supporting performance of this prosthesis. METHODS: We carried out a mechanical testing method and finite element analysis simulation. CONCLUSION: The support performance and non-invasively extension of this prosthesis were verified.

RESUMO

The Al4C3 phase was precipitated via a reaction of graphene (Gr) with Al during selective laser melting (SLM). The interfacial nature of the Gr (0001)/Al4C3 (0001) interface was determined using the first-principle calculation. The simulation results showed that the influence of the stacking site on the interfacial structure was limited and the Al-termination interface presented a more stable structure than the C-termination interface. The Al-termination-CH site interface had the largest work of adhesion (6.28 J/m2) and the smallest interfacial distance (2.02 Å) among the four interfacial structures. Mulliken bond population analysis showed that the bonding of the Al-termination interface was a mixture of covalent and ionic bonds and there was no chemical bonding in the C-termination interface.

RESUMO

The study on the nutrient components of Caragana jubata shrub and the distribution patterns of soil nutrients in Luya Mountain of Shanxi Province showed that C. jubata was a valuable feeding plant, which contained 20.27% of crude protein and 5.12% of ash with abundant Ca, Fe and Mn. The crude protein, ash, and mineral element contents increased from May and achieved the highest in July when C. jubata was at flowering stage, and then declined. To adapt to the habitat in subalpine meadow with high altitude, low temperature and thin soil layer, C. jubata had "fertility island" effect. The electric conductivity and the contents of organic matter, total N, available P and available K in the center of "fertility island" increased by 18.8%, 16.4%, 18.7%, 16.6% and 8.4%, respectively, compared with those in the edge of the "fertility island". The organic matter content and total N content in rhizosphere increased, while the contents of available nutrients such as P, K, Fe and Mn decreased, suggesting that C. jubata had high capability of N fixation and nutrients uptake.
