RESUMO

The motion stage with flexible hinges as a guiding mechanism can realize nanometer-level precision positioning. This stage uses a piezoelectric (PZT) actuator as the driving unit. In order to describe the mechanical characteristics of this piezo-driven stage, a double-parallel four-bar mechanism based on eight flexible hinges is analyzed. The natural frequency and modal of this stage are analyzed with the finite element method. In order to reduce the hysteresis influence of the PZT actuator, the model parameters based on the Bouc-Wen hysteresis model are identified by using the particle swarm optimization algorithm, and the boundedness of the hysteresis phenomenon is determined by this model. On this basis, the PZT hysteresis is regarded as a disturbance, and a proportional-integral-differential (PID)-type fuzzy sliding mode control (FSMC) is designed. Taking errors and the derivation in the errors as input and the parameters of the PID sliding surface as the output, the fuzzy sliding mode function is constructed. In addition, taking the absolute value of the sliding mode function as the input and the adjustment factor of the switching control as the output, the fuzzy switching control is constructed. Finally, the effectiveness of the FSMC is verified through several experiments.

Fusarium head blight (FHB), mainly caused by Fusarium graminearum, has become one of the most serious diseases that damage wheat. The TaPFT (pore-forming toxin-like) and TaHRC (histidine-rich calcium-binding protein) genes at the quantitative trait locus Fhb1 were identified to confer resistance to FHB in the wheat cultivar Sumai 3. In this study, a wheat ricin B-like lectin gene (designated TaRBL) that interacted with TaPFT was isolated by a yeast two-hybrid screen of a wheat cDNA library. A yeast two-hybrid and bimolecular fluorescence complementation study further verified that TaRBL interacted with TaPFT but not with TaHRC. Gene expression studies showed that upon F. graminearum infection, TaRBL expression was upregulated in resistant cultivars but downregulated in susceptible cultivars. Furthermore, knockdown of TaRBL expression by barley stripe mosaic virus-induced gene silencing significantly reduced the resistance of wheat to FHB in both the resistant cultivar Sumai 3 and the susceptible cultivar Jimai 22. Thus, we conclude that TaRBL encodes a ricin B-like lectin protein that interacts with TaPFT and is involved in resistance to FHB in wheat.

Three-dimensional graphene aerogel materials used for treatment of oily wastewater with sophisticated composition remains a challenge due to volume shrinkage, resulting in single-function and low adsorption capacity. In this work, renewable Enteromorpha was introduced into the graphene aerogel via facile hydrothermal-freeze casting treatment, forming the compression, ultralight and amphiphilic adsorbent for oil spill cleanup and water pollution remediation. Meanwhile, further freeze casting avoids aerogel collapse for capillary tension during drying and produce more hierarchical pores. As for oil spill clean up, the Enteromorpha modified graphene aerogel (EGA) exhibits excellent adsorption capacity towards oil and organic solvents than pristine graphene aerogel (GA). Even after several cycles by compression and heat treatment, it still has a stable adsorption capacity for oil and organic solvents. The EGA also showed high ability to absorb water-soluble pollutants, such as dyes through hydrogen bonding and electrostatic reactions between dye molecules and aerogel. The facile strategy to fabricate the Enteromorpha-based amphiphilic EGA broadens the applications in water treatment through the high-value utilization of Enteromorpha.

This paper presents the control performance of a linear motion stage driven by Voice Coil Motor (VCM). Unlike the conventional VCM, the stator of this VCM is regulated, which means it can be adjusted as a floating-stator or fixed-stator. A Multi-Mode Sliding Mode Control (MMSMC), including a conventional Sliding Mode Control (SMC) and an Integral Sliding Mode Control (ISMC), is designed to control the linear motion stage. The control is switched between SMC and IMSC based on the error threshold. To eliminate the chattering, a smooth function is adopted instead of a signum function. The experimental results with the floating stator show that the positioning accuracy and tracking performance of the linear motion stage are improved with the MMSMC approach.
