RESUMO

Tuberculous peritonitis(TBP)is currently one of the common manifestations of extrapulmonary tuberculosis.Due to the atypical clinical features,diverse types of diseases to be distinguished,and limited detection methods,TBP is difficult to be diagnosed and the fatality caused by delayed diagnosis increases significantly.We studied the current research status of TBP and found that T cells spot test,abdominal CT,and laparoscopic biopsy were of high diagnostic value for TBP.However,the application of ascites Xpert-MTB/RIF-ultra assay,ascites ADA,and whole-body positron emission tomography/computed tomography remained to be studied.Serum CA125 helps to judge the efficacy of anti-tuberculosis treatment.

Catalyzed diesel particulate filters (CDPFs) have been widespread used as a technically and economically feasible mean for meeting increasingly stringent emissions limits. An important issue affecting the performance of a CDPF is its aging with using time. In this paper, the effects of noble metal loadings, regions and using mileage on the aging performance of a CDPF were investigated by methods of X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and catalytic activity evaluation. Results showed that aging of the CDPF shifted the XRD characteristic diffraction peaks towards larger angles and increased the crystallinity, showing a slowing downward trend with the increase of the noble metal loadings. In addition, the increase of the noble metal loading would slow down the decline of Pt and Pt4+ concentration caused by aging. The characteristic temperatures of CO, C3H8 conversion and NO2 production increased after aging, and the more the noble metal loadings, the higher the range of the increase. But noticeably, excessive amounts of noble metals would not present the corresponding anti-aging properties. Specifically, the degree of aging in the inlet region was the deepest, the following is the outlet region, and the middle region was the smallest, which were also reflected in the increase range of crystallinity, characteristic temperatures of CO, C3H8 conversion and NO2 production, as well as the decrease range of Pt and Pt4+ concentrations. The increase of aging mileage reduced the size of the aggregates of the soot and ash in CDPFs, however, improved the degree of tightness between particles. Meanwhile Carbon (C) concentration in the soot and ash increased with the aging mileage.

Acute lung injury (ALI) is a frequent, but severe complication following sepsis in patients with critical illness. The present study aimed to investigate the potential role of microRNA-21 (miR-21) in the regulation of inflammation in the ALI induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in vitro and in vivo. The levels of inflammatory cytokines, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1ß and IL-10, and the level of miR-21 expression were measured in the lungs of LPS-induced ALI rats and NR8383 alveolar macrophages (AMs). To confirm the regulatory effect of miR-21 in the inflammatory reactions of ALI, NR8383 cells were transfected with a mimic of miR-21 or an anti-miR-21 inhibitor, and the subsequent changes of the miR-21 level and the levels of inflammatory cytokines were detected. The underlying molecular mechanism was also investigated. LPS-induced ALI in rats resulted in significant overexpression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1ß, and miR-21, but reduced the expression of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. LPS treatment also led to a higher expression level of miR-21 and increased secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines in NR8383 cells in a time-dependent manner. Manipulation with the miR-21 mimic significantly suppressed the LPS-mediated induction of TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1ß in NR8383 cells, while that induction was upregulated when miR-21 expression was silenced via transfection with the anti-miR-21 inhibitor. Further mechanism experiments revealed that miR-21 regulates LPS-induced inflammation responses via the Toll-like receptor 4 and nuclear factor-κB (Nf-κB) signaling pathway. miR-21 negatively regulates inflammatory responses in LPS-induced ALI by targeting the NF-κB signaling pathway, providing further insight into the molecular mechanism of ALI progression.

Based on the revolving drum test bench, an experimental study was conducted in heavy-duty diesel vehicle at China Stage Ⅲ with and without DOC+CDPF to investigate the effects of DOC+CDPF on the gaseous and particle emission characteristics under C-WTVC driving cycle. The results showed that from city circulation conditions to high way circulation conditions to high-speed circulation conditions, the CO, THC, CO2 and PM emission factors of the test vehicle without DOC+CDPF decreased while NOx and PN emission factors increased, the particle number concentration showed two peaks versus the size of the particles and accumulated particles predominated. After the test vehicle was equipped with DOC+CDPF, the emissions factors decreased and the faster the circulation speed, the greater the decreasing amplitudes of the emissions factors. Throughout the C-WTVC, the decreasing amplitudes of CO, THC, CO2, and NOx emission factors were 70.36%, 72.73%, 17.00% and 7.76%, the PM and PN emission factors decreased by 93.77% and 98.91% respectively. The particle number concentration still had two peaks versus the size of the particles and the nuclear mode particles predominated. Besides, the size of the accumulated particles peak diminished.

The gaseous emissions of stage Ⅲ standard City bus with and without DOC+CDPF after-treatment fueled with biodiesel blends on real road in steady-state and transient conditions were studied using OBS-2200 gaseous portable emission measurement. The results showed that B20 led to a decrease of CO and THC emission rates compared with those of B0. In steady-state condition, CO and THC average mass emission rates of B20 decreased by 26.43% and 10.44% respectively and in transient condition the decrease rates were 22.78% and 4.95%. Meanwhile, B20 eventuated in higher CO2 and NOx emission rates. In steady-state condition, CO2 and NOx average mass emission rates of B20 increased by 8.41% and 8.26% respectively and in transient condition the increase rates were 7.15% and 9.13%. DOC+CDPF caused a more obvious reduction of CO and THC emission rates of B20 compared with B0. In steady-state condition, CO and THC average emission rates decreased by 60.58% and 79.92%, while in transient condition they decreased by 63.67% and 82.57%. The influence of DOC+CDPF on emission reduction of CO2 and NOx was not obvious.

The title salt, C6H6NO2(+)·ClO4(-)·C6H5NO2, was crystallized from an aqueous solution of equimolar quantities of perchloric acid and pyridine-2-carboxylic acid. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements show that the compound undergoes a reversible phase transition at about 261.7 K, with a wide heat hysteresis of 21.9 K. The lower-temperature polymorph (denoted LT; T = 223 K) crystallizes in the space group C2/c, while the higher-temperature polymorph (denoted RT; T = 296 K) crystallizes in the space group P2/c. The relationship between these two phases can be described as: 2a(RT) = a(LT); 2b(RT) = b(LT); c(RT) = c(LT). The crystal structure contains an infinite zigzag hydrogen-bonded chain network of 2-carboxypyridinium cations. The most distinct difference between the higher (RT) and lower (LT) temperature phases is the change in dihedral angle between the planes of the carboxylic acid group and the pyridinium ring, which leads to the formation of different ten-membered hydrogen-bonded rings. In the RT phase, both the perchlorate anions and the hydrogen-bonded H atom within the carboxylic acid group are disordered. The disordered H atom is located on a twofold rotation axis. In the LT phase, the asymmetric unit is composed of two 2-carboxypyridinium cations, half an ordered perchlorate anion with ideal tetrahedral geometry and a disordered perchlorate anion. The phase transition is attributable to the order-disorder transition of half of the perchlorate anions.

OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the sonographic and pathologic features of littoral cell angioma of the spleen in 7 patients. METHODS: The sonographic appearance in 7 cases of littoral cell angioma confirmed by surgical pathologic examination was retrospectively reviewed. All underwent color Doppler imaging. Two underwent contrast-enhanced sonography. The sonographic appearance was compared with pathologic findings. RESULTS: Splenic lesions were solitary in 5 cases and multiple in 2 cases. The masses ranged from 10 to 64 mm in maximum diameter. Five hypoechoic and 2 hyperechoic lesions on grayscale sonography corresponded to few and multiple blood-filled spaces on pathologic examination, respectively. Four hypovascular lesions, 1 hypervascular lesion, and the other 2 hypervascular lesions full of color flow signals on color Doppler imaging corresponded to few, several, and multiple arteries on pathologic examination. On contrast-enhanced sonography, 1 hypervascular lesion full of color flow signals showed homogeneous hyperenhancement for 8 minutes during the arterial and parenchymal phases. One hypovascular lesion showed inhomogeneous isoenhancement transiently during the arterial phase and became hypoechoic later. CONCLUSIONS: Littoral cell angioma is a primary vascular splenic neoplasm with variable features on grayscale sonography and color Doppler imaging as well as contrast-enhanced sonography. The sonographic appearance of littoral cell angioma mainly depends on the type and number of tumor vessels.

A genome-wide analysis of P450 genes was performed in waterflea genome based on their mRNA and amino acid data. Seventy-one P450 genes, assigned into 15 gene families and 17 subfamilies, were identified. They were partitioned into 12 groups and 16 orphan genes by a criterion that the genes belong to the same group when their amino acid identity was more than 60%. Except orphan genes and 4 gene groups, including 2 genes per group, positive selection and gene conversion were analyzed in other 8 groups, including 47 genes. The results showed that positive selection was detected in 3 groups (including 22 genes). The positively selected sites 228E or 277T, locating in SRS (substrate recognition sites) 2 or SRS 5, were detected in 2 groups (18 sequences) with a more than 95% probability, and gene conversions were detected in 5 groups (19 sequences). Interestingly, both positive selection and gene conversion events were identified obviously in 12 genes, and neither positive selection nor gene conversion event was detected in 18 genes. The correlation was revealed between positive selection and gene conversion: positive selection sites were identified in 63.2% of genes in which gene conversion events were detected, and gene conversion events were identified in 54.5% of genes in which positive selections were detected. Moreover, twenty motifs were identified, there in to, 5 motifs existed in over 90% of P450 genes.
