BACKGROUND: Low-dose computed tomography (CT) has been successful in reducing radiation exposure for patients. However, the use of reconstructions from sparse angle sampling in low-dose CT often leads to severe streak artifacts in the reconstructed images. OBJECTIVE: In order to address this issue and preserve image edge details, this study proposes an adaptive orthogonal directional total variation method with kernel regression. METHODS: The CT reconstructed images are initially processed through kernel regression to obtain the N-term Taylor series, which serves as a local representation of the regression function. By expanding the series to the second order, we obtain the desired estimate of the regression function and localized information on the first and second derivatives. To mitigate the noise impact on these derivatives, kernel regression is performed again to update the first and second derivatives. Subsequently, the original reconstructed image, its local approximation, and the updated derivatives are summed using a weighting scheme to derive the image used for calculating orientation information. For further removal of stripe artifacts, the study introduces the adaptive orthogonal directional total variation (AODTV) method, which denoises along both the edge direction and the normal direction, guided by the previously obtained orientation. RESULTS: Both simulation and real experiments have obtained good results. The results of two real experiments show that the proposed method has obtained PSNR values of 34.5408 dB and 29.4634 dB, which are 1.2392-5.9333 dB and 2.828-6.7995 dB higher than the contrast denoising algorithm, respectively, indicating that the proposed method has good denoising performance. CONCLUSIONS: The study demonstrates the effectiveness of the method in eliminating strip artifacts and preserving the fine details of the images.

This study investigates the effects of fall configurations on hip fracture risk with a focus on pelvic soft tissue shape. This was done by employing a whole-body finite element (FE) model. Soft tissue thickness around the pelvis was measured using a standing CT system, revealing a trend of increased trochanteric soft tissue thickness with higher BMI and younger age. In the lateroposterior region from the greater trochanter, the soft tissues of elderly females were thin with a concave shape. Based on the THUMS 5F model, an elderly female FE model with a low BMI was developed by morphing the soft tissue shape around the pelvis based on the CT data. FE simulation results indicated that the lateroposterior fall led to a higher femoral neck force for the elderly female model compared to the lateral fall. One reason may be related to the thin soft tissue of the pelvis in the lateroposterior region. Additionally, the effectiveness of interventions that can help mitigating hip fractures in lateroposterior falls on the thigh-hip and hip region was assessed using the elderly female model. The attenuation rate of the femoral neck force by the hip protector was close to zero in the thigh-hip fall and high in the hip fall, whereas the attenuation rate of the compliant floor was high in both falls. This study highlights age-related changes in the soft tissue shape of the pelvis in females, particularly in the lateroposterior regions, which may influence force mitigation for the hip joint during lateroposterior falls.

Our perception of objects depends on non-oculomotor depth cues, such as pictorial distance cues and binocular disparity, and oculomotor depth cues, such as vergence and accommodation. Although vergence eye movements are always involved in perceiving real distance, previous studies have mainly focused on the effect of oculomotor state via "proprioception" on distance and size perception. It remains unclear whether the oculomotor command of vergence eye movement would also influence visual processing. To address this question, we placed a light at 28.5 cm and a screen for stimulus presentation at 57 cm from the participants. In the NoDivergence condition, participants were asked to maintain fixation on the light regardless of stimulus presentation throughout the trial. In the WithDivergence condition, participants were instructed to initially maintain fixation on the near light and then turn their two eyes outward to look at the stimulus on the far screen. The stimulus was presented for 100 msec, entirely within the preparation stage of the divergence eye movement. We found that participants perceived the stimulus as larger but were less sensitive to stimulus sizes in the WithDivergence condition than in the NoDivergence condition. The earliest visual evoked component C1 (peak latency 80 msec), which varied with stimulus size in the NoDivergence condition, showed similar amplitudes for larger and smaller stimuli in the WithDivergence condition. These results show that vergence eye movement planning affects the earliest visual processing and size perception, and demonstrate an example of the effect of motor command on sensory processing.

Background: Congenital pulmonary airway malformation (CPAM) is a rare benign deformity of the lungs in adults. Our study aimed to evaluate the clinical features and compare the effect of thoracoscopic lobectomy and wedge resection for adult CPAMs. Methods: This was a retrospective study including eighteen adults with CPAMs recruited between 2013 and 2023. Radiological scans and pulmonary function test (PFT) were performed before operation. All the patients were treated with thoracoscopic approach, which were categorized into groups of lobectomy and wedge resection. The baseline, preoperative, and operative data were evaluated and analyzed. Results: Four males and fourteen females were diagnosed with CPAMs at a median age of 57.5 years. Cough was the main symptom, reported by 55.6% of the patients. CPAMs were always initially misdiagnosed as other conditions due to heterogeneous computed tomography (CT) characteristics. The mean of PFT results showed normal (>80% predicted) in forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), and FEV1 to FVC ratio (FEV1/FVC), but less than 70% predicted in forced expiratory flow (FEF) at 25-75%, 50% and 75% of FVC. All patients underwent video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) with a total of nine wedge resections and nine lobectomies. Age at surgery varied statistically between the two groups. Whereas, duration of surgery, blood loss, postoperative drainage, days of drainage, days of hospitalization and postoperative complications showed no statistical difference between the two groups. There were 27.8% of the lesions showing CPAMs mixed with other diseases during histological evaluations. Conclusions: CPAM in adults showed a complex presentation in terms of clinical symptoms, imaging performance and pathological findings. Half of the patients were detected with small airway dysfunction preoperatively. Thoracoscopic lobectomy and wedge resection for the treatment can achieve satisfactory short-term outcomes.

An ectopic kidney is a rare congenital defect that is often asymptomatic, but can be incidentally discovered during imaging examinations. Moreover, the morphological characteristics and laboratory features of ectopic kidneys are nonspecific, which may lead to misleading diagnostic approaches, particularly when there are additional factors, such as infection, obstruction, or other anomalies. A 43-year-old female presented with a mass in the left adnexal area. She had septate uterus and a history of congenital urinary incontinence. Ultrasound and MRI findings indicated that the mass was a cyst originating from the ovary. However, it is possible that the lump was derived from the urinary system. To confirm the diagnosis, laparoscopy was performed, followed by pathological examination, which confirmed the presence of an ectopic kidney with a single-system ectopic ureter. The patient underwent nephroureterectomy, and her symptoms successfully resolved, leading to a favorable prognosis. This case report highlights a rare case involving an ectopic kidney with a vaginal ectopic ureter that initially presented as an adnexal cyst and caused urinary dribbling. This case emphasizes the importance of early recognition and accurate diagnosis in women with similar symptoms.

Based on the significant biological activities and the remarkable physical and chemical properties of 1H-1,2,3-triazole pharmacophore, we herein adopted the strategy of click chemistry to combine the triazole fragment and the unique scaffold of 25-OCH3-PPD (AD-1) to design a series of potent compounds inducing apoptosis and DNA damage. The anti-proliferative effect was verified by MTT assay and colony formation assay. DNA double-stand breaks (DSBs) were obtained by observing the nuclear focus formation and the protein expression of γ-H2AX. Cell cycle arrest was evaluated by the cycle-related proteins such as CDK2, CDK4, CDK6, Cyclin D1 and P21. Apoptosis was assessed by flow cytometry, mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) detection and the expression of apoptosis-related proteins. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation was measured with 2', 7'-dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA) staining. According to SAR analysis, the most potent compound 6a exhibited great inhibitory effect against A549 cells, which IC50 value of 2.84 ± 0.68 µM. Furthermore, 6a remarkably induced DNA damage, cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in A549 cells. 6a treatment increased the levels of ROS. Network pharmacology and molecular docking predicted the potential signaling pathways and ligand-receptor interactions, and the results of western blotting showed that 6a inhibited the PI3K/Akt/Bcl-2 signaling pathway by decreasing PI3K and Bcl-2 and total level of Akt expression, while Bax and Cyt c were increasing in 6a-treated A549 cells. As mentioned above, 6a has a potent inhibitory effect in A549 cells through induction of DNA damage, apoptosis via ROS generation and modulation of PI3K/Akt/Bcl-2 signaling pathway.

Electrolytes with anion-dominated solvation are promising candidates to achieve dendrite-free and high-voltage potassium metal batteries. However, it's challenging to form anion-reinforced solvates at low salt concentrations. Herein, we construct an anion-reinforced solvation structure at a moderate concentration of 1.5 M with weakly coordinated cosolvent ethylene glycol dibutyl ether. The unique solvation structure accelerates the desolvation of K+, strengthens the oxidative stability to 4.94 V and facilitates the formation of inorganic-rich and stable electrode-electrolyte interface. These enable stable plating/stripping of K metal anode over 2200 h, high capacity retention of 83.0 % after 150 cycles with a high cut-off voltage of 4.5 V in K0.67MnO2//K cells, and even 91.5 % after 30 cycles under 4.7 V. This work provides insight into weakly coordinated cosolvent and opens new avenues for designing ether-based high-voltage electrolytes.

Cadmium (Cd) pollution has been a significant concern in heavy metal pollution, prompting plants to adopt various strategies to mitigate its damage. While the response of plants to Cd stress and the impact of exogenous melatonin has received considerable attention, there has been limited focus on the responses of closely related species to these factors. Consequently, our investigation aimed to explore the response of three different species of rape to Cd stress and examine the influence of exogenous melatonin in this scenario. The research findings revealed distinctive responses among the investigated rape species. B. campestris showed the resistance to Cd and exhibited lower Cd absorption and sustained its physiological activity under Cd stress. In contrast, B. juncea accumulated much Cd and increased the amount of anthocyanin to mitigate the Cd-damage. Furthermore, B. napus showed the tolerance to Cd and tended to accumulate Cd in vacuoles under Cd stress, thereby decreasing the Cd damage and leading to higher activity of antioxidant enzymes and photosynthesis. Moreover, the application of exogenous melatonin significantly elevated the melatonin level in plants and mitigated Cd toxicity by promoting the activity of antioxidant enzymes, reducing Cd absorption, enhancing the chelating capacity with Cd, decreasing Cd accumulation in organelles, and reducing its fluidity. Specifically, exogenous melatonin increased the FHAc content in B. campestris, elevated the phytochelatins (PCs) level in B. napus, and stimulated photosynthesis in B. juncea. In summary, the findings underscore the species-specific responses of the three species of rape to both Cd stress and exogenous melatonin, highlighting the potential for tailored mitigation strategies based on the unique characteristics of each species.

The beneficial roles of hydrochar in carbon sequestration and soil improvement are widely accepted. Despite few available reports regarding polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) generated during preparation, their potential negative impacts on ecosystems remain a concern. A heating treatment method was employed in this study for rapidly removing PAHs and reducing the toxicity of corn stover-based hydrochar (CHC). The result showed total PAHs content (∑PAH) decreased and then sharply increased within the temperature range from 150 °C to 400 °C. The ∑PAH and related toxicity in CHC decreased by more than 80% under 200 °C heating temperature, compared with those in the untreated sample, representing the lowest microbial toxicity. Benzo(a)pyrene produced a significant influence on the ecological toxicity of the hydrochar among the 16 types of PAHs. The impact of thermal treatment on the composition, content, and toxicity of PAHs was significantly influenced by the adsorption, migration, and desorption of PAHs within hydrochar pores, as well as the disintegration and aggregation of large molecular polymers. The combination of hydrochar with carbonized waste heat and exhaust gas collection could be a promising method to efficiently and affordably reduce hydrochar ecological toxicity.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are among the most frequently used drugs that can cause liver toxicity. The aim of this study was to integrate bioanalytical and population pharmacokinetic (PopPK) assay to rapidly screen and quantify the concentrations of NSAIDs in plasma and monitor clinical safety. A liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method was developed for the simultaneous quantification of acetaminophen (APAP), flurbiprofen (FLB), aspirin (ASP), and ibuprofen (IBP), four commonly used NSAIDs. The PopPK model of the signature toxicant was analyzed based on the published literature. The LC-MS/MS method was successfully validated and applied to determine NSAID concentrations in patient plasma samples. APAP, ASP, and IBP data were best fitted using a one-compartment model, and FLB data were best fitted using a two-compartment model. Bootstrapping and visual predictive checks suggested that a robust and reliable pharmacokinetic model was developed. A fast, simple, and sensitive LC-MS/MS method was developed and validated for determining APAP, FLB, ASP, and IBP in human plasma. Combined with the PopPK model, this method was applied to rapidly analyze the concentrations of NSAIDs in clinical samples from patients presenting to the emergency department with acute liver dysfunction and monitored NSAIDs clinical safety.

Due to their sessile lifestyle, plants need to optimize their growth in order to adapt to ever-changing environments. Plants receive stimuli from the environment and convert them into cellular responses. Brassinosteroids (BRs), as growth-promoting steroid hormones, play a significant role in the tradeoff between growth and environmental responses. Here, we provide a comprehensive summary for understanding the crosstalk between BR and various environmental stresses, including water availability, temperature fluctuations, salinization, nutrient deficiencies and diseases. We also highlight the bottlenecks that need to be addressed in future studies. Ultimately, we suppose to improve plant environmental adaptability and crop yield by excavating natural BR mutants or modifying BR signaling and its targets.

Bile infarct is a pivotal characteristic of obstructive biliary disease, but its evolution during the disease progression remains unclear. Our objective, therefore, is to explore morphological alterations of the bile infarct in the disease course by means of multiscale X-ray phase-contrast CT. Bile duct ligation is performed in mice to mimic the obstructive biliary disease. Intact liver lobes of the mice are scanned by phase-contrast CT at various resolution scales. Phase-contrast CT clearly presents three-dimensional (3D) images of the bile infarcts down to the submicron level with good correlation with histological images. The CT data illustrates that the infarct first appears on day 1 post-BDL, while a microchannel between the infarct and hepatic sinusoids is identified, the number of which increases with the disease progression. A 3D model of hepatic acinus is proposed, in which the infarct starts around the portal veins (zone I) and gradually progresses towards the central veins (zone III) during the disease process. Multiscale phase-contrast CT offers the comprehensive analysis of the evolutionary features of the bile infarct in obstructive biliary disease. During the course of the disease, the bile infarcts develop infarct-sinusoidal microchannels and gradually occupy the whole liver, promoting the disease progression.

Organic materials have attracted extensive attention for potassium-ion batteries due to their flexible structure designability and environmental friendliness. However, organic materials generally suffer from unavoidable dissolution in aprotic electrolytes, causing an unsatisfactory electrochemical performance. Herein, we designed a weakly solvating electrolyte to boost the potassium storage performance of perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA). The electrolyte induces an in situ morphology evolution and achieves a nanowire structure. The weakly dissolving capability of ethylene glycol diethyl ether-based electrolyte and unique nanowire structure effectively avoid the dissolution of PTCDA. As a result, PTCDA shows excellent cycling stability (a capacity retention of 89.1% after 2000 cycles) and good rate performance (70.3 mAh g-1 at 50C). In addition, experimental detail discloses that the sulfonyl group plays a key role in inducing morphology evolution during the charge/discharge process. This work opens up new opportunities in electrolyte design for organic electrodes and illuminates further developments of potassium-ion batteries.

Aims: To evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of cetagliptin (CAS number:2243737-33-7) in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). A population PK/PD model was developed to quantify the PK and PD characteristics of cetagliptin in patients. Materials and methods: 32 Chinese adults with T2DM were enrolled in this study. The subjects were randomly assigned to receive either cetagliptin (50 mg or 100 mg), placebo, or sitagliptin (100 mg) once daily for 14 days. Blood samples were collected for PK and PD analysis. Effects on glucose, insulin, C-peptide, and glucagon were evaluated following an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) (day15). Effects on HbA1c and glycated albumin (GA), and safety assessments were also conducted. Meanwhile, a population PK/PD model was developed by a sequential two-step analysis approach using Phoenix. Results: Following multiple oral doses, cetagliptin was rapidly absorbed and the mean half-life were 34.9-41.9 h. Steady-state conditions were achieved after 1 week of daily dosing and the accumulation was modest. The intensity and duration of DPP-4 inhibition induced by 50 mg cetagliptin were comparable with those induced by sitagliptin, and 100 mg cetagliptin showed a much longer sustained DPP-4 inhibition (≥80%) than sitagliptin. Compared with placebo group, plasma active GLP-1 AUEC0-24h increased by 2.20- and 3.36-fold in the 50 mg and 100 mg cetagliptin groups. A decrease of plasma glucose and increase of insulin and C-peptide were observed following OGTT in cetagliptin groups. Meanwhile, a tendency of reduced GA was observed, whereas no decreasing trend was observed in HbA1c. All adverse events related to cetagliptin and sitagliptin were assessed as mild. A population PK/PD model was successfully established. The two-compartment model and Sigmoid-Emax model could fit the observed data well. Total bilirubin (TBIL) was a covariate of volume of peripheral compartment distribution (V2), and V2 increased with the increase of TBIL. Conclusions: Cetagliptin was well tolerated, inhibited plasma DPP-4 activity, increased plasma active GLP-1 levels, and exhibited a certain trend of glucose-lowering effect in patients with T2DM. The established population PK/PD model adequately described the PK and PD characteristics of cetagliptin.

OBJECTIVE: In vehicle frontal collisions, it is crucial that the lap belt is designed to engage with the anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS) of occupants for a reliable restraint. This study aims to understand the influence of different seated postures on the geometrical relationship of the seat belt and the pelvis for various occupants using 3D upright and supine computed tomography (CT) systems. METHODS: The 3D shapes of bones and soft tissues around the pelvis were acquired through a CT scan for 30 participants. They were seated in a rigid seat equipped with a lap belt simulating the front seat of a small car, and wore a lap belt in three seated postures: upright, slouched and reclined. Parameters related to the likelihood of submarining occurrences, such as belt-ASIS overlap (an index for assessing the potential engagement of the lap belt with the ASIS) and the belt-pelvis angle (the difference between the belt angle and the normal direction of the anterior edge of the ilium) were compared. RESULTS: It was observed that the pelvis angle tilted rearward as the hip point was positioned forward and seatback angle increased. This can be seen in the slouched and reclined posture. The belt-pelvis angle was comparable between the slouched and the reclined postures, and was closer to zero (indicating that the lap belt path is closer to perpendicular to the anterior edge of the ilium) compared to the upright posture. In contrast, the belt-ASIS overlap increased with an increasing flesh margin of the ASIS and shallower belt angle. This suggests that the belt-pelvis angle is influenced by the seated posture whereas the belt-ASIS overlap is dependent more on an individual's anthropometry. The plot of belt-pelvis angle and belt-ASIS overlap exhibited significant variability among participants. CONCLUSIONS: The belt-pelvis angle and the belt-ASIS overlap of individuals will provide valuable information for understanding the current belt-fit location and predicting submarining occurrences for individuals in various postures when designing restraint systems.

Chondrocytes undergo endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS)-induced apoptosis under abnormal stimulation. However, the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear. We investigated the regulatory effect of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway on ERS and its effect on chondrocyte apoptosis. In addition, we established a unilateral anterior crossbite (UAC) model in rats to induce temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA). Chondrocytes were isolated from the temporomandibular joints and treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in vitro. Protein expression of ERS and apoptosis markers (GRP78 and CASP12) was analyzed by immunohistochemistry and western blotting. The expression of GRP78, CASP12, p-PI3K, and p-AKT significantly increased in the UAC group. LY294002, a PI3K/AKT signaling pathway inhibitor, reduced the protein expression of GRP78, ATF4, CHOP, and CASP12, whereas 740 Y-P, an activation agent, elevated the expression of proteins GRP78, ATF4, CHOP, and CASP12. In the present study, UAC and LPS stimulation induced apoptosis of chondrocytes in the ERS pathway. Inhibition of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway reduced ERS-induced chondrocyte apoptosis.

Diluents have been extensively employed to overcome the disadvantages of high viscosity and sluggish kinetics of high-concentration electrolytes, but generally do not change the pristine solvation structure. Herein, a weakly coordinating diluent, hexafluoroisopropyl methyl ether (HFME), is applied to regulate the coordination of Na+ with diglyme and anion and form a diluent-participated solvate. This unique solvation structure promotes the accelerated decomposition of anions and diluents, with the construction of robust inorganic-rich electrode-electrolyte interphases. In addition, the introduction of HFME reduces the desolvation energy of Na+, improves ionic conductivity, strengthens the antioxidant, and enhances the safety of the electrolyte. As a result, the assembled Na||Na symmetric cell achieves a stable cycle of over 1800 h. The cell of Na||P'2-Na0.67MnO2 delivers a high capacity retention of 87.3 % with a high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.7 % after 350 cycles. This work provides valuable insights into solvation chemistry for advanced electrolyte engineering.

Urbanizations and industrializations may accelerate the contamination and deterioration of groundwater quality. This study aimed to evaluate the quality and potential human health risks associated with shallow groundwater in Shenzhen, China, a city characterized by high levels of urbanization and industrialization. The hydrochemistry characteristics, water quality levels, and human health risks of main ions, nutrient elements, and metals in 220 samples collected from Maozhou River Basin (MRB) located in the northwest of Shenzhen were investigated. It showed that chemical constituents of the groundwater were further complicated by seawater intrusion and urbanization expansion. Water quality evaluated by fuzzy comprehensive method showed that 21.05% of samples distributed around reservoirs were classified into grade II or better. Nearly 79% of samples distributed in the densely populated urban land were classified into grade III or worse, indicating pollution from anthropogenic factors cannot be ignored. For the river tidal reach where river stage fluctuated about 0.5 to 1.5 m within a tidal cycle, the chemical composition of groundwater was influenced by frequent water exchange with the river. The carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health risks for different age groups, from the high to the low, were children, adult women, adult men, adolescent women, and adolescent men, respectively. Approximately 39% of groundwater samples distributed around the densely populations area with health risk larger than 5 × 10-5 were unacceptable for children. This investigation would be helpful for improving groundwater management and as a practical reference for sustainable groundwater exploitation in the MRB.

This study aims to explore and characterize the role of pediatric sedation via rectal route. A pediatric physiologically based pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PBPK/PD) model of midazolam gel was built and validated to support dose selection for pediatric clinical trials. Before developing the rectal PBPK model, an intravenous PBPK model was developed to determine drug disposition, specifically by describing the ontogeny model of the metabolic enzyme. Pediatric rectal absorption was developed based on the rectal PBPK model of adults. The improved Weibull function with permeability, surface area, and fluid volume parameters was used to extrapolate pediatric rectal absorption. A logistic regression model was used to characterize the relationship between the free concentrations of midazolam and the probability of sedation. All models successfully described the PK profiles with absolute average fold error (AAFE) < 2, especially our intravenous PBPK model that extended the predicted age to preterm. The simulation results of the PD model showed that when the free concentrations of midazolam ranged from 3.9 to 18.4 ng/mL, the probability of "Sedation" was greater than that of "Not-sedation" states. Combined with the rectal PBPK model, the recommended sedation doses were in the ranges of 0.44-2.08 mg/kg for children aged 2-3 years, 0.35-1.65 mg/kg for children aged 4-7 years, 0.24-1.27 mg/kg for children aged 8-12 years, and 0.20-1.10 mg/kg for adolescents aged 13-18 years. Overall, this model mechanistically quantified drug disposition and effect of midazolam gel in the pediatric population, accurately predicted the observed clinical data, and simulated the drug exposure for sedation that will inform dose selection for following pediatric clinical trials.

In recent years, emerging pollutants, including nonylphenol (NP) and nonylphenol ethoxylate (NPE), have become a prominent topic. These substances are also classified as persistent organic pollutants. NP significantly affects the hormone secretion of organisms and exhibits neurotoxicity, which can affect the human hippocampus. Therefore, various countries are paying increased attention to NP regulation. NPEs are precursors of NPs and are widely used in the manufacture of various detergents and lubricants. NPEs can easily decompose into NPs, which possess strong biological and environmental toxicity. This review primarily addresses the distribution, toxicity mechanisms and performance, degradation technologies, management policies, and green alternative reagents of NPs and NPEs. Traditional treatment measures have been unable to completely remove NP from wastewater. With the progressively tightening management and regulatory policies, identifying proficient and convenient treatment methods and a sustainable substitute reagent with comparable product effectiveness is crucial.
