RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of lit-moxa stimu- lating acupoint Guanyuan (CV 4) on lactic acid and super-oxide dismutase (SOD) in skeletal muscle after exercise exhaustion. METHODS: Twenty-eight adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal control group, exhausted control group, exercise group and moxibustion group using exercise training and mild heating with lit-moxa stick as treatment methods. The exhausted control group, moxibustion group and exercise group received an exhaustive swimming after 20 days of intervention. Swimming exhausted times were recorded. Lactic acid and SOD concentration in soleus muscle were detected and compared between every two groups. RESULTS: The swimming exhausted times of the moxibustion group and the exercise group were significantly increased compare to the exhausted control group (P < 0.05). The lactic acid of the exhausted control group was significantly increased comparing with the normal control group (P < 0.05), and the lactic acid of the moxibustion group and the exercise group were significantly lower than that of the exhausted control group (P < 0.05). The SOD level of the exhausted control group was significantly decreased comparing with the normal control group (P < 0.05), and the SOD level of the moxibustion group and the exercise group were significantly higher than that of the exhausted control group (both, P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference between the moxibustion group and the exercise group. CONCLUSION: With lit moxa stick, heat stimulating acupoint of Guanyuan (CV 4) decreased the levels of lactic acid and SOD in rat's skeletal muscle.

RESUMO

Objective To observe the specific changes of content of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) around meridian skin and specific influences of electroacupunture Neiguan (PC6) on cGMP of rats with acute myocardial ischemia (AMI). Methods With 6 male Wistar rats as normal group, 18 rats were made AMI model and divided into model group, high-frequency group and low-frequency group (n=6). The high-frequency and low-frequency group were given electroacupuncture in bilateral PC6 with 100 and 2 Hz for 20 min respectively. The content of cGMP in skin around PC6, Ximen (PC4), Tianquan (PC2), Waiguan (TE5) and Zusanli (ST36) was detected by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent method after treatment. Results In model group, cGMP content increased significantly around PC6, PC2, TE5 and ST36 compared with normal group (P <0.05,P <0.001). After the treatment with high-frequency or low-frequency electroacupunture in PC6, cGMP content decreased significantly in skin around PC6, PC2, TE5 and ST36 compared with model group (P <0.05, P <0.001). Conclusion High-frequency electroacupunture or high-frequency electroacupunture used in PC6 can protect rats from the injury of AMI. The mechanism may be related to the decrease of cGMP content around the acupoint areas in heart-related meridian.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the effect of rapid intestinal preparation combined with probiotics in bowel preparation before operation. Methods 124 colorectal cancer patients were divided into the probiotic group(65 cases) and control group(59 cases).Control group using traditional 3d bowel preparation, joint probiotic group,to give patients in the 1 d intestinal ready on the basis of probiotic oral. The two groups after patients received isonitrogenous and caloric nutritional support, were observed after the two groups of patients with body temperature and heart rate changes; detection of bacterial DNA ratio of whole blood.Observed in peripheral blood leukocyte count, and systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS) and the occurrence of complications. Results Probiotic group and control group, postoperative fever duration and postoperative heart rate and leukocyte counts return to normal a short time( t =11.52,20.07,P < 0.05 ) ; whole blood PCR detection of bacterial DNA after the positive test group 2 cases (3.30%),the control group was 8 cases ( 26.67% ),the difference was statistically significant ( t =5.07,x2 =34.68,P < 0.05 ).Postoperative SIRS rate and the incidence of complications showed no statistical difference ( P > 0.05 ).Conclusion Probiotics could reduce colorectal cancer patients with postoperative intestinal permeability and reduce the incidence of bacterial translocation and its rapid intestinal preparation method was feasible and effective and knot the protection of the intestinal mucosal barrier function in rectal cancerconductive to knot the early postoperative inflammatory response in patients with rectal cancer recovery.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To study the clinical efficacy and adverse drug reactions (ADR) of paclitaxel combined with oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu) in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer.METHODS:31 patients with advanced gastric cancer were treated with paclitaxel 175 mg?m-2 (i.v.) for 3 hours followed by oxaliplatin 85 mg?m-2 on the first day and 24 hour infusion of 5-Fu (500 mg?m-2,first to fifth day) every 3 weeks.Total effective rate, survival duration and ADR were observed.RESULTS:The total effective rate was 38.7% (12/31),including complete remission of 9.7% (3/31),partial remission of 29.0%(9/31),steady progress (SD) of 41.9% (13/31) and promotion progress (PD) of 19.4% (6/31).The median time to progression (TTP) was 5.9 months and median survival time (MST) was 10.7 months. The total response rates were 70% for newly diagnosis patients and 23.8% for recurrence patients. The main ADR were neurotoxicity (89.1%),leukopenia (82.6%),nausea/vomiting (72.8%) and alopecia (66.3%).None of chemotherapy-related death occurred.CONCLUSION:Paclitaxel combined with oxaliplatin and 5-Fu POF regimen appears to be effective and tolerated in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To establish a RP-HPLC method for the determination of the content of emodin in Compound shouwu mixture.METHODS:The determination was performed on Diamonsil C_(18) column(150 mm?4.6 mm,5?m) with the mobile phase consisted of methanol- 0.1%phosphoric acid(68:32).The detective wavelength was set at 220 nm.RESULTS: The linear range of emodin was 7.8~78.0?g?mL~(-1)(r= 0.999 8) with an average recovery rate of 98.25%(RSD = 1.09%,n=9).CONCLUSION:The method is accurate, sensitive and reproducible, and it is applicable for the quality control of the Compound shouwu mixture.

RESUMO

Objective To observe the effect of preventive acupuncture and moxibustion at Guanyuan(CV 4)on abnormal activity in early climacteric rats. Methods Using four-month-old female SD rats as young control group, the 24 ten-month-old SD female rats screened by vaginal smear were randomized into 4 groups. The climacteric models by natural aging were established. The changes of estrogen receptor(ER-?)and heat shock protein-70(HSP-70)expressions resulted from the effect of preventive acupuncture and preventive moxibustion were observed. Results The expression of ER-? decreased gradually in the uterus of natural climacteric rats(P
