RESUMO

Double perovskites (DPs) have attracted attention in the field of luminescence due to their inherent broadband emission of self-trapping excitons. In this work, we choose [(CH3)3NCH2CHCH2]+ and [CH3CHOHCH2NH2]+ as organic cations to synthesize two new organic-inorganic hybrid DPs, [(CH3)3NCH2CHCH2]2KInCl6 (1) and [CH3CHOHCH2NH2]2KInCl6 (2). The [KCl6]3- and [InCl6]3- octahedra are interchangeably connected by sharing two opposite faces, forming a one-dimensional coordination chain. Each K atom coordinates with six chlorine atoms in 1, while it coordinates with two oxygen atoms in addition to the six chlorine atoms in 2. The coordination between ions K and O in compound 2 may have significantly reduced its luminescence. As a result, compound 1 shows bright-yellow light with a quantum yield of more than 90%, while 2 shows weak blue light with a quantum yield of only 0.98%. In addition, different from no phase transition found in 2, 1 undergoes a reversible phase transition at 324/307 K in the heating-cooling cycle. Through structural and spectral analysis and density functional theory calculation, we conclude that the larger degree of [InCl6]3- octahedral distortion and the larger anion distance (In···In) also cause the PLQY of compound 1 to be higher than that of compound 2.

RESUMO

The interfacial instability of high-nickel layered oxides severely plagues practical application of high-energy quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries (LMBs). Herein, a uniform and highly oxidation-resistant polymer layer within inner Helmholtz plane is engineered by in situ polymerizing 1-vinyl-3-ethylimidazolium (VEIM) cations preferentially adsorbed on LiNi0.83Co0.11Mn0.06O2 (NCM83) surface, inducing the formation of anion-derived cathode electrolyte interphase with fast interfacial kinetics. Meanwhile, the copolymerization of [VEIM][BF4] and vinyl ethylene carbonate (VEC) endows P(VEC-IL) copolymer with the positively-charged imidazolium moieties, providing positive electric fields to facilitate Li+ transport and desolvation process. Consequently, the Li||NCM83 cells with a cut-off voltage up to 4.5 V exhibit excellent reversible capacity of 130 mAh g-1 after 1000 cycles at 25 °C and considerable discharge capacity of 134 mAh g-1 without capacity decay after 100 cycles at -20 °C. This work provides deep understanding on tailoring electric double layer by cation specific adsorption for high-voltage quasi-solid-state LMBs.

RESUMO

White spot disease, caused by the parasitic ciliate Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, is a significant threat to the freshwater fish farming industry worldwide, resulting in massive mortality and economic losses. Eliminating the free-swimming theronts from the culture environment is considered crucial for the control of I. multifiliis infection. It is well-documented that planktonic ciliates are valuable food resources for macro-zooplankton in aquatic ecosystems. In this study, we developed a fluorescence labeling method for alive theronts and found that cyclopoid copepods Thermocyclops taihokuensis, Mesocyclops spp., Macrocyclops sp., and Paracyclopina sp. present predation on the theronts in co-culture experiments. Laboratory challenge tests further confirmed that the presence of zooplankton in the culture water body significantly reduced the infection of I. multifiliis in goldfish (p < 0.01). Results from this study revealed that cyclopoid copepods have the potential to be used as biological control agents against white spot disease in aquaculture.

RESUMO

In the latest geophysical survey crossing the Ninety East Ridge of the Indian Ocean, a new method was employed to perform proportional double seismic source excitation and synchronously receive signals from the sea surface and the seabed. The two seismic sources used for excitation were two sets of gun arrays with different energies and dominant frequencies, a G gun array and a Bolt gun array. The G gun array consisted of 3 G.II guns with a total capacity of 450 in3 and a dominant frequency of 20-100 Hz. The Bolt gun array consisted of 4 Bolt 1500LL air guns with a total capacity of 6000 in3 and a dominant frequency of 10-40 Hz. The seismic receiving system comprised a 480-channel seismic streamer towed from the sea surface and 21 ocean bottom seismometers (OBS). During offshore operations, the integrated navigation system produced equidistant trigger signals at an interval of 50 m. The trigger signals were distributed to the G gun array and Bolt gun array at a ratio of 3:1 after passing through a pulse signal proportional distributor. The two sets of gun arrays fired alternatingly at a given ratio. The receiving equipment on the sea surface and seabed simultaneously received the seismic signals excited by the two sets of gun arrays. After targeted data processing, in addition to the seismic profile generated by the conventional G gun seismic source, the deep seismic profile generated by the Bolt gun seismic source and the survey profile of the active-source OBS were obtained simultaneously. The penetration depths of the three sets of profiles reach 2 km, 6 km, and 30 km, respectively, greatly improving the efficiency of offshore deep-sea seismic surveys.

RESUMO

Green technology innovation is an effective way through which to achieve carbon neutrality and sustainable development. Based on provincial panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2005 to 2018, this work examines the tripartite relationship among green technology innovation, resource misallocation, and carbon emission performance by constructing panel regression models and a dynamic threshold panel model. The research results show that green technology innovation significantly improves carbon emission performance. Further analysis shows that both capital and labour misallocation have a negative impact on carbon emission performance and hinder the contribution of green technology innovation to the improvement of carbon emission performance. The regression results show that there is a threshold effect of green technology innovation on carbon emission performance: as the degree of resource misallocation increases, the positive impact of green technology innovation on carbon emission performance gradually decreases. This study provides an important reference for policy-makers in implementing policies to improve carbon emission performance. Policy-makers should continue to promote the level of green technology innovation and improve the efficiency of labour and capital allocation.

RESUMO

With the continuous advancement of the technological revolution and industrial transformation, environmental governance supported by digital finance has become an important engine for achieving carbon neutrality. Based on panel data from 30 provinces in China, this study discusses the spatial spillover effect and transmission mechanism between digital finance and environmental pollution. Our research results confirm that the inhibitory effect of digital finance on local environmental pollution gradually increases with the improvement of digital finance. Interestingly, digital finance has a significant positive spatial spillover effect on environmental pollution in surrounding areas. The mediating effect shows that digital finance can alleviate environmental pollution by improving technological innovation, industrial upgrading and industrial structure rationalization. A higher degree of marketization and governmental support can increase the positive influences of digital finance on pollution reduction. This research proves the effectiveness of digital finance in improving environmental governance, and it encourages policy-makers around the world to rely on digital finance to promote ecological governance and achieve high-quality economic development.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: A novel scoring system and screening procedure for gastric cancer (GC) screening was proposed based on the national conditions of China, which state that endoscopy professionals and facilities are relatively limited compared with the large Chinese population. METHODS: A novel scoring system for gastric cancer screening was used to retrospectively analyse the patients who met the screening procedure from April 2017 to December 2019 in our hospital. We divided all of the patients into three groups: low-risk group (0-11 scores), medium-risk group (12-16 scores), and high-risk group (17-23 scores). Statistical analysis was performed on the detection rate of gastric cancer and precursors of gastric cancer among these three groups. RESULTS: A total of 6701 patients were enrolled in this study, including 4,352(64.95%) in the low-risk group, 1,948 patients (29.07%) in the medium-risk group, and 401 patients (5.98%) in the high-risk group. The total detection rate of gastric cancer was 2.84% (190/6,701), with a 0.94% rate (41/4,352) in the low-risk group, a 5.18% rate (101/1,948) in the medium-risk group, and a 11.97% rate (48/401) in the high-risk group. There were statistically significant differences in the detection rate of gastric cancer among these three groups (all P < 0.05). The detection rate of early gastric cancer was 46.31% (88/190) among all of the detected gastric cancers in this study. In addition, the detection rates of differentiated gastric cancer and precursors of gastric cancer in the medium-risk group and high-risk group were significantly higher than those in the low-risk group. In addition, the area under the curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) of the novel scoring system in differentiating GC was 0.79. CONCLUSION: The screening strategy based on the novel scoring system can significantly improve the efficiency of gastric cancer opportunistic screening in hospital visits. Gastroscopy should be strongly recommended for patients in the medium-risk group and high-risk group, and detailed gastroscopy should be adopted as early as possible to improve the detection rate of early gastric cancer.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND AND AIM: It is important to predict the risk of gastric cancer (GC) for endoscopists because early detection of GC determines the selection of the best treatment strategy and the prognosis of patients. The study aimed to evaluate the utility of a predictive nomogram based on the Kyoto classification of gastritis for GC. METHODS: It was a retrospective study that included 2639 patients who received esophagogastroduodenoscopy and serum pepsinogen (PG) assay from January 2019 to November 2019 at the Endoscopy Center of the Department of Gastroenterology, Wenzhou Central Hospital. Routine biopsy was conducted to determine the benign and malignant lesions pathologically. All cases were randomly divided into the training set (70%) and the validation set (30%) by using the bootstrap method. A nomogram was formulated according to multivariate analysis of the training set. The predictive accuracy and discriminative ability of the nomogram were assessed by concordance index (C-index), area under the curve (AUC) of receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) as well as calibration curve and were validated by the validation set. RESULTS: Among all patients enrolled, 102 of 2636 cases showed LGIN, HGIN and gastric cancer pathology results, whereas the rest cases showed benign pathological results. Multivariate analysis indicated that age, sex, PG I/II ratio and Kyoto classification scores were independent predictive variables for GC. The C-index of the nomogram of the training set was 0.79 (95% CI: 0.74 to 0.84) and the AUC of ROC is 0.79. The calibration curve of the nomogram demonstrated an optimal agreement between predicted probability and observed probability of the risk of GC. The C-index was 0.86 (95% CI: 0.79 to 0.94) with a calibration curve of better concurrence in the validation set. CONCLUSION: The nomogram formulated was proven to be of high predictive value for GC.

RESUMO

RATIONALE: Metastases to the duodenum in cervical squamous cell carcinoma are extremely rare, with only 7 cases reported in the published English literature. PATIENT CONCERNS: We present the case of a 66-year-old woman with duodenal metastasis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma who presented with nausea and vomiting within the past 12 days. DIAGNOSIS: Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed a circular narrowed 2nd part of the duodenum with congested and edematous mucosa, which was biopsied for a suspected neoplastic lesion. The pathological diagnosis indicated squamous cell carcinoma identical to the original tumor, confirming duodenal metastasis. INTERVENTIONS: The patient received total parenteral nutrition on admission, but symptoms of jaundice soon appeared in the following week, suggesting infiltration of carcinoma into the common bile duct. After percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage was performed, jaundice eased in the following 3 days, and an uncovered self-expandable metallic stent was subsequently inserted into the stenosis of 2nd and 3rd part of the duodenum. Subsequently, the patient's diet quickly resumed. OUTCOMES: The patient refused further intervention and was discharged home to continue palliative care at the local hospital. LESSONS: Clinicians should be alert to patients' past medical history to ensure that duodenal metastasis of other tumors is considered in the differential diagnosis. For endoscopists, awareness of such patterns of duodenal stenosis is vital for the accurate recognition of such infrequent diseases.

RESUMO

Although it has been suggested that reward expectation affects the performance of spatial working memory tasks, controversial results have been found in previous experiments. Hence, it is still unclear to what extent reward expectation has an effect on working memory. To clarify this question, a memory-guided saccade task was applied, in which participants were instructed to retain and reconstruct a temporospatial sequence of four locations by moving their eyes in each trial. The global- and local-level spatial working memory accuracies were calculated to determine the reward effect on the global and local level of processing in spatial working memory tasks. Although high reward expectation enhanced the encoding of spatial information, the percentage of trials in which the cued location was correctly fixated decreased with increment of reward expectation. The reconstruction of the global temporospatial sequence was enhanced by reward expectation, whereas the local reconstruction performance was not affected by reward. Furthermore, the improvements in local representations of uncued locations and local sequences were at the cost of the representation of cued locations. The results suggest that the reward effect on spatial working memory is modulated by the level of processing, which supports the flexible resource theory during maintenance.

RESUMO

Based on the seafloor reflection coefficient obtained from autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) sub-bottom profile survey data of the northern slope of the South China Sea, combined with the sample test data of seafloor surface sediments, we use the Biot-Stoll model to establish the equations relating the seafloor reflection coefficient to the porosity, density, and mean grain size of the sediments at the dominant frequency of 5 kHz (the dominant frequency of the AUV sub-bottom profiler). The physical property parameters such as the porosity, density, and mean grain size of seafloor surface sediments are further inverted. Comparison of inversion results with measured results shows that the overall deviation ratios of the inverted mean grain size, porosity, and density of the surface sediments are in the ranges of - 13.56 to 14.44%, - 6.15 to 8.06%, and - 10.85 to 0.46%, respectively. Among them, the mean grain size directly reflects the size of seafloor sediment particles, and the particles are finer in deeper water. Overall, the inversion results are basically consistent with the measured values and thus can well reflect the variation characteristics of the physical properties of seafloor surface sediments.

RESUMO

An effective eradication therapy of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) should be used for the first time. In this study, we assessed whether tailored therapy based on antibiotic susceptibility testing is more effective than traditional therapy. We also evaluated the factors that cause treatment failure in high-resistance areas. For this multicenter trial, we recruited 467 H. pylori-positive patients. The patients were randomly assigned to receive tailored triple therapy (TATT), tailored bismuth-containing quadruple therapy (TABQT), or traditional bismuth-containing quadruple therapy (TRBQT). For the TATT and TABQT groups, antibiotic selection proceeded via susceptibility testing using an agar-dilution test. The patients in the TRBQT group were given amoxicillin, clarithromycin, esomeprazole, and bismuth. Successful eradication was defined as a negative 13C-urea breath test at least eight weeks after the treatment ended. Susceptibility testing was conducted using an agar-dilution test. The eradication rate was examined via intention-to-treat (ITT) and per-protocol (PP) analyses. The clarithromycin, levofloxacin, and metronidazole resistance rates were 26.12%, 28.69%, and 96.79%, respectively. Resistance against amoxicillin and furazolidone was rare. The eradication rates for TATT, TRBQT, and TABQT were 67.32%, 63.69%, and 85.99% in the ITT analysis (P 0.001) and 74.64%, 68.49%, and 91.22% in the PP analysis (P 0.001), respectively. The efficacy of TABQT was affected by clarithromycin resistance, and bismuth exerted a direct influence on TATT failure. TABQT was the most efficacious regimen for use in high-resistance regions, especially among clarithromycin-susceptible patients.

RESUMO

In this paper, a novel flower-like BiOI/MnO2 composite was synthesized by two simple steps. The crystal structure, morphology, surface element analysis, and optical properties of as-prepared samples were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrometry (DRS). Photocatalytic activities of the prepared photocatalysts were evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of RhB under simulated light irradiation. When 50 mg of a BiOI/MnO2 composite with a mass ratio of 5/1 was used to degrade RhB aqueous solution (100 mL, 20 mg L-1), the degradation efficiency could reach 99.18% within 60 min under simulated solar light irradiation. In addition, the photocatalyst exhibited good stability. After four cycles, the degradation efficiency of the BiOI/MnO2 (5/1) composite could reach 92.8% within 80 min. The probable photocatalytic mechanism of photocatalysts was investigated by active species trapping experiments and photoluminescence (PL) measurements. The results showed that the superior photocatalytic activity of the BiOI/MnO2 composite is derived from the generation and transfer of photogenerated carriers between MnO2 and BiOI.

RESUMO

In wireless powered communication networks (WPCNs), it is essential to research energy efficiency fairness in order to evaluate the balance of nodes for receiving information and harvesting energy. In this paper, we propose an efficient iterative algorithm for optimal energy efficiency proportional fairness in WPCN. The main idea is to use stochastic geometry to derive the mean proportionally fairness utility function with respect to user association probability and receive threshold. Subsequently, we prove that the relaxed proportionally fairness utility function is a concave function for user association probability and receive threshold, respectively. At the same time, a sub-optimal algorithm by exploiting alternating optimization approach is proposed. Through numerical simulations, we demonstrate that our sub-optimal algorithm can obtain a result close to optimal energy efficiency proportional fairness with significant reduction of computational complexity.

RESUMO

AIM: To evaluate the diagnostic efficacies of narrow-band imaging (NBI) endoscopy with and without high magnification in distinguishing neoplasia from non-neoplasia colorectal lesions. METHODS: A total of 118 patients with 123 colorectal lesions examined by NBI endoscopy in the Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital from September 2008 to April 2010 were enrolled in this study. These lesions were classified by pit pattern and capillary pattern, and then assessed by histopathology. RESULTS: Ten lesions not meeting the diagnostic criteria were excluded, the overall diagnostic accuracy of NBI endoscopy in distinguishing neoplasia from non-neoplasia colorectal lesions was 91.2% (103/113), and that of NBI endoscopy with and without high magnification was 93.0% (40/43) and 90.0% (63/70), respectively. Both were significantly higher than that of conventional colonoscopy reported in the literature (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSION: Besides NBI magnifying endoscopy, NBI endoscopy without magnification may also be used to distinguish neoplasia from non-neoplasia colorectal lesions.
