The aim of this work was to study clinical and functional symptoms of funicular myelosis (FM) and chronic gastritis (CG) in patients with B12-deficiency anemia. A total of 77 patients with diagnosis verified by finding megaloblasts in bone marrow biopsies were examined. Clinical symptoms of FM were found in 57% of the patients. The most characteristic subjective ones were paresthesia (83.3%) and limb weakness (60%) while objective symptoms included impaired limb sensitivity (100%). All patients suffered CG with lesions in both antrum and fundus.

Mood disturbances frequently transform clinical state of a disease that demands the essential consideration during medical treatment and the following rehabilitation. The current research deals with the study and comparison the psychological dysfunctions among elderly with chronic leukemia (CL) and dyscirculatory encephalopathy (DE). One hundred persons with CL were examined. Representative group numbered 85 patients with DE at I and II stages. Spielberger-Khanin anxiety scale and Zung depression scale were used in this study. In the absence of DE clinical features the mood disturbances occurred as an anxiety for the patients with CL, while the combination of DE with CL led to depression. The elderly with DE have been characterized with anxiety and depression that is caused by cerebral ischemia.

We studied lesions in the nervous system of 60 patients with acute leukosis and 25 with non-Hodgkin lymphomas during standard chemotherapy. Toxic encephalopathy was diagnosed in 6 (10%) patients with acute leucosis treated by endolumbal administration of metotherxate, cytarabine and prednisolone (to prevent neuroleukemia) and in 2 (8%) patients with non-Hodgkin lymphomas. 5 (8.3%) patients with acute leukosis and 5 (20%) with non-Hodgkin lymphomas suffered polyneuropathy after vincristine therapy. Acute disturbance of cerebral circulation was documented in 17 (28.3%) patients with acute leucosis.

A case of acute lymphoblast leucosis in the debut phase is reported with multiple lesions of cranial nerves (trigeminal, facial, cohleovestibular, sublingual, vagus).
