RESUMO

Objective To discover the effects of the Prescription Administrative Policy in force on the quality of the prescriptions in a tertiary hospital in 2007. Methods The prescriptions of 400 cases were sampled systematically for evaluation, and 60 patients were interviewed. Results The average eligibility rate of the prescriptions was but 37. 2% in this hospital, which was mainly plagued by incompleteness, nonstandard and irrationality found in prescriptions. Implementation of the Policy contributed to a significant improvement of some indicators. For example, the eligibility rate increased by 12. 2% (P=0. 004) ,the percentage of the use of antimicrobial agents dropped significantly (P=0. 001),and the percentage of generic names used rose significantly (P = 0. 000). Conclusions The implementation of the Policy is highly positive for prescription quality.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To explore an effective mode and way for the reduction of drug repercussion in dispensary. METHODS: Based on the statistics on drug repercussion data in 2005 and the analysis on the causes of drug repercussion, the Drug Repercussion Administrative Policy of Hospital (which was called Policy for short in the following) was set and enforced. RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To discuss the way to evaluate outpatient prescription in medical institutions according to Prescription Administrative Policy so as to provide reference for the practice of prescription evaluation system. METHODS: 500 outpatient prescriptions from April 16 to April 20 in 2007 in our hospital were sampled randomly for an evaluation in respect of drug utilization, prescription behavior, pharmaceutical care level etc. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: To evalnation from The prescriptions involved use of injections and of antibacterials, prescribed drugs were covered in "national essential drugs" , prescriptions with general name, the knowledge of patients on the administration and dosage were drectively.It is supply reference for the prescription evaluation system.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To facilitate the implementation of Prescription Administrative Policy ( "Policy" for short), and provide basis for Medical Administrative Departments to perfect prescription management. METHODS: 218 questionnaires collected from medical staffs in 14 primary level hospitals were subjected to an aggregate analysis in respect of their cognition on the "Policy" , prescription standards and the enforcement condition of the "Policy" . RESULTS: Of the 218 medical staff, 36.7% had the knowledge on prescription standards in "Policy" , 35.78% had the knowledge of generic names of the prescribed medicines. Among the 14 primary level medical institutions, only 36.36% used the standard emergency prescriptions and paediatric prescriptions, and 47.76% kept samples of doctors' signatures. CONCLUSIONS: The "Policy" was poorly implemented in the primary level medical institution. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the education and training of the medical staff, meanwhile the Medical Administrative Departments should strengthen their administrative leadership and guidance, and put forward the relevant policy and bylaws aimed at the confusions existing with the medical institutes so as to facilitate a better implementation of the Policy.

OBJECTIVE:To improve the production and circulation mode of Chinese traditional medicinal materials(CTMM).METHODS:The current status of the production and circulation mode of CTMM was analyzed,and the problems and their causes in this mode was discussed,then the suggestions were put forward on the basis of analysis.RESULTS&CONCLUSION:The present mode needed improvement in the aspect of quality control,the improvement in general adminis?trative policy for CTMM,training of professionals,protection of medicinal resources,regulation of market,and establishment of famous brands of traditional medicines can all help the quality control.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To faciliate the implementation of the new Prescription Administrative Policy in ward area pharmacy. METHODS: Based on our practical working experience, the Prescription Administrative Policy was studied from perspective of quality of personnel, sense of responsibility and drug standards etc. And the difficulty encountered in the implementation of the prescription administrative policy was explained. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: Solving such problems as including medical orders in prescription management, clarifying the responsibility of irrational medication without sticking to instrcutions of drug package inserts, the demanding requirements on pharmacists’s quality and the enforcement of precription evaluation contributes to the implementation of the new Prescription Administrative Policy in ward area pharmacy.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To control the drug varieties in our hospital. METHODS:According to Prescription Administrative Policy,the related meetings was hold by Drug Therapy and Pharmacy Administration Committee and monitoring procedure was set up to ensure drug elimination publicly,fair and clearly. Drugs of different specifications with same general name were limited strictly. RESULTS:After implementing drug elimination measure,drugs reserved were in line with national drug control standard. CONCLUSION:Drug elimination applied to control drug varieties can improve drug management in the hospital.
