O artesão e a imaginação dos quatro elementos / The artisan and the imagination of the four elements

Trata-se de um estudo do trabalho do artesão, que abrange a produção de objetos concretos e o processo de imaginar a si mesmo na relação com a matéria-prima. É uma investigação sobre a imaginação material presente no trabalho do artesão, na forma como Bachelard a compreende, ou seja, geração de imagens dinamizadas pelas propriedades dos quatro elementos descritos por Empédocles. A imaginação é tida como atividade psíquica que conduz o artesão à transcendência de seus afetos para empreender um mergulho na solidão, isto é, conhecimento anagógico da irrealidade, na qual irá se encontrar com a pré-história de seu fazer e consigo mesmo.

This is a study of the craftsman’s life and work. It involves from the process of imagining himself in relation to raw material untill the production of concrete objects. This is an investigation about the material imagination, present in the work of the craftsman, in the sense that Bachelard understands it, ie, creating images, stimulated by the properties of the four elements described by Empedocles. Imagination is considered psychic activity that leads to transcendence of the craftsman’s affections to undertake a dive in solitude, that is, the anagogical knowledge of the unreality, where he will stand facing with the pre-history of its making and himself.

Neste trabalho procuro pensar a metáfora freudiana de que a psicanálise se dá “per via di levare” articulando um texto de Saramago, uma experiência clínica e recursos da teoria psicanalítica. Partindo do princípio de que a arte é manifestação profunda do mundo interno do artista, penso o trabalho clínico como a escultura de uma subjetividade, cuja autoria é sempre do paciente que acompanhamos na singularidade psíquica.

In this work I try to think of the metaphor that Freudian psychoanalysis is given “per via di levare” linking a Saramago’s text, a clinical case, and features of psychoanalytic theory. On the assumption that art is a manifestation of the deep inner world of the artist, I think the clinical work as the sculpture of a subjectivity, whose authorship is the patient who follow in their singularity psychic.
